Blake The joke is that's what happens in companies. The boss screws up and everyone is very politically correct about it, and the blame is somehow shared.
I prefer places that required food handlers to wear gloves. Who knows what and where their hands touch ( esp cut and infections on fingers) and then make your food. 🤢🤮
This could have made for a very good "The Office" episode because that's something Michael Scott would have been very likely to do (make cake for party, drink from another person's "cool" bottle, tell people over the phone they might just have hepatitis).
I really can’t get why people don’t like this sketch. Not everything needs to be whacky or zany. There’s all different types of ways comedy can be. This personally one of my favorite gems from SNL
I love how everyone is dressed as an iconic character or person, except for Leslie who is a HotDog. It's kinda like when everyone in the family has a unique name and one child gets named something basic like "John" or "Sam".
This is a joke meant to be like 30 seconds long, just gets boring when you stretch it out to 4 minutes, like we get the joke but it's not funny anymore
So this is your first SNL sketch. Unfortunately this is every SNL sketch ever. One gag in 5 minutes. But sometimes you'll get a whimsical character with your one gag!
Steve the man it's the four horse as interpreted by method actors in the food industry.......and well all those trade schools.....all those trade schools...think about it.......
this is one of the few sketches on snl that have actually made me laugh out loud and looking at the comments the fans don't seems to like it very much...
This sketch is actually about how Companies diffuse responsibility. Like the 08 stock market crash where no one important went to prison because company hierarchy is design to spread the responsibility so much that it becomes diluted and impossible to convict Executives and CEOs in court.
The ending didn't go well. Kenan should've said something like" I'm trying to make sure I've got it, just planning for my lawsuit" or something damn this skit was awkward.
How about at the end Keenan says something like "What? I already ate a piece, I'm not gonna get hepatitis twice am I?" Or "ehh I never wash my hands either I think I'll be alright" Or I dunno end on an actual joke
Paul Mendez Your two suggestions are not jokes at all. They are something that a person would say as a reasonable reply. But yes, they could've have done better than "it's good cake."
i don't know about you but i enjoyed this skit. The phone call was on point. It seems not so many of you can relate to the teleconference dilemma at work. peace!
Renato Costa i thought so too. I like how they touched o n the awkwardness of office meetings on speakerphone, but they contrast that with something as important as hepatitis. The bit where the boss revealed that he drank from the water bottle was funny and Bryant had some funny lines. It didn't develop too much, but I don't think it was as bad as people are saying.
Man, I had hepatitis A when I was living in Baltimore--public transportation, a surprising amount of human feces in the streets--and although I was assured by my doctor that I wasn't going to die, it sure as fuck felt like it. I was also working at a restaurant at the time, but turns out if you wash your hands to the extent you're supposed to, it's not an issue...but the public notice from the health department really did some serious damage to the restaurant. Which I understand, it's a pretty big deal, but it was a small business with one owner and I felt awful about the hit he took. No one else contracted it as far as I know, and the health dept was DEFINITELY paying attention.
I know she was from a rival sketch comedy show... But I think it would be so awesome and unexpected to see Alex Bornstein as a guest host for one of the Saturday Night Live episodes... Especially if she gets to do her famous Miss Swan impersonation. The fact that she was from a rival sketch comedy show is what would make it so weirdly funny and cool.
Aidy's delivery on "worried, Greg" is MASTERFUL

@@Liquoricilicious ttbfya
Aidy is so underrated and under utilized i feel
She was masterful on SNL. She is masterful.

The highlight is Cecily bending forward to operate the phone.
undoubtedly

Pretty bad skit regardless of the year. There was no point and no punch line, just a weak skit altogether.
This is true tho.
@@arniecalang4583 Thank you. Imma imagine it will hit different in 2024.
This sketch is so awkward
Joshua Block most of them are these days..
Joshua Block I think that is an underlining joke, about how awkward group calls are.
Aww, too bad, Joshua. How 'bout you watch roosters playing around in your backyard.
Grant Holmes that's so true but so sad
Isn’t it so satisfying when it goes from 1.9k to 2k likes?
I thought the pacing of the joke was bad at first, then I realized there was no joke..
Not a good sketch. Costumes were o k .
Blake The joke is that's what happens in companies. The boss screws up and everyone is very politically correct about it, and the blame is somehow shared.
phamptom
That sounds like commentary, not a joke. This shit was unfunny in every way imaginable.
DOMINOSMOFO You're right it was not funny. I was just explaining the joke.
Like wtf was the point of the boss not being able to hear them well? This was just weird
I thought it was going to be because Greg made love to the cake. Turned out to be an inspirational life lesson. We all learned something
Lol, to wash your hands?
yeah i learned to stop watching SNL
Sean McDannold go back to ur farm
DarthDulla 9 😂
I learned that the SNL writers are still unfunny and screwed over Kumail's comedic talent. They should hire real comedians.

why greg
“Wash your hands before handling food” “OH THANKS GREG FOR THE HOT TIP” 🤣🤣🤣

Nah, it's pretty lame.
Props to make up for Beck’s hair in this. For a guy with a scorching case of Hep A, he looks fabulous.
it's like they spent all week deciding what costumes they should wear for this sketch and then 10 minutes writing the sketch

Liam McCarthy these snl writers, man a high schooler could probably write better

4nomorewar Again - How the hell did your crazy delusional brain get that from this? Can you stop playing the race card for 5 minutes?
I find this more scary than funny, nowadays we must be concerned about Hepatitis A after this outbreak...
