To understand the Estevao ‘phenomenon’, a number of things need to be clarified. Firstly, to appreciate her true worth, you have to watch his matches, not the compilation of videos of his great performances. The first thing that stands out about him is his refined technique ("Messi/Robben" Like). He's not a Brazilian player who does endless magic tricks. His game is very rational and he makes the right choice almost every time. He knows when to dribble and when to pass. He's a very mature player for his age (17). I have no doubt that he will succeed in Europe because he already has a style that suits European football. Once again, everything will depend on the environment (is Chelsea the right club for him?), his physical development (a major axis for improvement) and his intrinsic pyschology (willing player? humble enough to progress? hard worker?)? Comparisons with Messi come from his handling of the ball. The ball sticks to his foot and it's difficult to get it back (very often, defenders challenge him physically to take the ball from him). Finally, the statistics don't lie: 7 goals and 7 assists. Very often, Palmerias' decisive actions come from his side. It's not for nothing that his team struggled when he was injured. Every time he touches the ball, you get the feeling that something is going to happen. There's no need to compare him to Neymar. They don't have the same style at all. I'd even go so far as to say that this is the first time I've seen an Estevao-style Brazilian player. Those who know more about Brazilian football may be able to correct me. The only thing he shares with Neymar is above-average technique. That said, I'm one of those who say that it's very early to be going to Chelsea. Neymar waited until he was 21 to become the best South American player before taking the plunge. No doubt Chelsea will loan him out. The best option is for him to be loaned out to Palmerias until he is 20. Is it possible? It's a shame he won't crush the Brazilian league and South America before taking the plunge.
i agree with most of what you said, but i really dont see and ever consider an loan. Same with Endrick,an its simple: If he's too good in Brazil at that age, he can be, at least, a secret weapon anywhere. That what i see being from BRASIL
verdade mesmo, quando Estevão se contundiu Palmeiras deu tchau aos campeonatos,.se ele tivesse disponível em todas as partidas decisivas o negócio era diferente.
This kid will be a legend together with Yamal. Are the new Messi and CR7 era, Paez, Vini, Mbappe, Halland, Foden, Endrick are top players like Salah, Mane, Roben, Bernardo Silva, but they are at the same level
Woah, the kid got insane ball control, ridiculous feints, super high football IQ, and blistering pace. I feel like if there is anyone who is going to challenge Lamine Yamal for the best player in the world in these upcoming years it’s this guy. I don’t think he will be quite as good as Lamine but I think Estaveo will be a generational player. I see Lamine is an all time great potential player. Good luck to Estevao Willian. We need juga bonito back in Brazil and for Neymar to win a World Cup 😊
@@Mickoman239 He has more pace than Yamal but dribbling they are around the same. Yamal dribbling that he showing now isn’t even close to the full thing he was showing back in youth. If you notice for most of his dribbling in senior level he is shifting the balance of defenders. This is pure technique and no pace as he barely wins foot race against seniors. He has gotten faster and is improving at a rapid rate. Just as Estevao will reach a whole new level once his body is developed and he can power through players Lamine will reach a whole new level too once he gains more speed and further refines his technique. What stands out to me for Lamine is his football IQ. It’s not just good it’s like rare genius level good. The way he moves in tight spaces, his feints and no touch football are already world class, and his decision making is almost always the best. This combined with the environment he grew up in makes me feel like his game progression will be linear. Not everyone who plays football progress at a linear rate. Heck, improving at a rapid pace is a talent in it of itself. Xavi who is a player that uses his brain and didn’t have pace has said that making the right decision in football is the hardest thing and that Yamal almost always makes right decisions. That’s what’s so scary about Yamal. He just turned 17 and anyone who has an eye for talent can see that that guy football IQ is beyond most world class players as just a 17 year old. His passing is really impressive too. Most assists in Euros as a teenager! He’s not only a dribbler but also a creator whose ability will only improve. It also helps that FC Barcelona have been training and nurturing his talent ever since he was a young player. His transition to senior team has been smooth and he doesn’t have to adapt to the La Masia style of play. That is a big advantage in Football because it’s better to have a good team to develop when you’re young so the player can gain valuable experience and skip the adaptation phase that most senior professional footballers go through in their twenties. You may not be able to see it now but I believe the gulf in quality between Lamine and everyone else will increase from season to season as long as he keeps his head grounded, trains hard and injuries doesn’t affect his development.
Lamine is the better overall player as of now, but Estevao's dribbling and ability to beat players far superior than Lamine. Lamine is the better passer and have better game IQ.
