- The Sabbath is a memorial to creation. The Sabbath is a holy time set a part by God for man to rest from his labor, rest from his daily pleasures and communion with the Creator. Contrary to what many people believe, the Sabbath is not only for the Jews. As a matter of fact the Sabbath existed before the Jewish people even started as a people or nation. In Mark 2:27 it says "And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath."
God created the Sabbath during the creation week and thus it was also designed to be a part of the original design before sin entered the world. Doesn't it make sense that a loving God would dedicate a special time to spend with His creation. Satan knows this and has worked very hard to get people to forget the only commandment that begins with the world Remember. It is common for Christians to think that the Sabbath was done away with at the cross. A careful study of the scriptures will reveal that only the ceremonial sabbath's that foreshadowed Christ were nailed to the cross. The best decision I’ve ever made, was five years ago. After attending a Bible Seminar from pastor Mark Fox. I learned about the Sabbath. That first Sabbath after the seminar had ended, my wife and I took the alter call. We attended the nightly seminar, the next day she went to work, and I went on line to verify what I heard the night before. That Sabbath we both decided to listen to the Holy Spirit, and yield our lives to what the Bible said and not the tradition of man. I was born as a Catholic, then a Methodist for three years, and 42 years as a Baptist. We both knew that we had been brought up living a life of tradition. My wife had even volunteered to be an usher for The Billy Graham crusades. I absolutely have only one regret, I wish I had heard about the Sabbath truth many many years earlier. I knew one individual that was an SDA, but he never shared the truth with me. That was back in 1980, so many years wasted trying to honor God will, and blindly ignorant in my traditional ways. I will honor the Sabbath for the rest of my life, I pray for the ability to be faithful. Even unto death. I know it will happen, because the Bible tells us so.

I observe the sabbath but do not glory in it.
The sabbath is the 4th commandment (Lu.23:56), not the Gospel. Like Paul, we should glory in the cross of Christ, being crucified to this world, the flesh, and the devil's temptations. Hope that you read the bible more!

@@crusher1980 You do error not knowing nor understanding the Holy Scriptures, you have been deceived into believing a lie by the Sunday preachers. The Sunday preachers error also about the sabbath. Jesus nor any of his disciples never taught that the sabbath had been changed to the first day of the week. The Sunday preachers just miss interpret the scriptures and bear false witness against God and his remnant the SDA church. Paul didn't tell the church to make an offering on Sunday when they meet. Where in the scriptures does it say that they meet on Sunday? You need to read that chapter again and study it for yourself and quit taking the Sunday preachers' word for it. What happened was Paul sent a letter to the church and knowing that they would gather for worship on the seventh day sabbath and the letter would be read to them on the sabbath, He told them to gather their offerings for the saints at home the next day so they wouldn't forget to lay aside for the saints in Jerusalem. 1Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. 2Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come 1 cor.16:1 & 2. The secret to understanding this scripture is this, To lay aside by him in store. They were to lay in store at home their offerings for the Saints in Jerusalem. If they had been worshipping on the first day of the week then why would Paul tell not to gather when he came if they were gathering on the first day to worship? Doesn't make any since does it?
And no the SDA church is not a cult The Sunday preachers just don't know nor understand the scriptures and bear false witness which they love to do against the SDA church.
Here is absolute proof that Paul never taught nor kept the first day as the sabbath. Read Acts 25:8 and Acts 28:17. Paul would have been lying and could not have truthful said what he said in there two verses if he had been teaching that the Sabbath had been changed to the first day of the week. Why do the Sunday preachers want to take two verses out of context and base their doctrines on them when there is no proof of that at all but there are other verses that states that the meet on the seventh day sabbath. Acts13:14 and Acts 13:42-44 ,Acts 16:13. Why don't they base their doctrines that speak frankly? Col 2:16 is talking about the sacrificial laws which were a shadow of things to come not the seventh day sabbath it was never a shadow of things to come.

I'm by myself... GOD has been dealing with me to observe his Sabbath day this will be my third week observing the Sabbath and I have no intention of going back to Sunday worship it is not in God's word he never said to worship him on Sunday... the Catholic Church changed this ordinance and put it on Sunday.. yet so many people are asleep hopefully they will wake up and begin to honor God the way he desires and not what man wants ....Maranatha!!

I just don't understand why there are so many "Christian churches " that still worship on Sundays when they know it should be on Saturday? They know the Commandments! I was raised catholic and never took the time to read the Bible until last year and my eyes were opened! Same with all these pagans holidays like X-mas and Easter! Lord, please help us open our eyes, to share the truth and to keep your Commandments. We love you and thank you for your great sacrifice, our Lord and King Jesus Christ 🙏🙏

I noticed these verses in Matthew 24:15‐20 where Jesus says 15 ,"Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16“then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath."
So if the Sabbath was no longer necessary to keep why would jesus mention it?
I honestly do think if we're going to keep a certain day holy it should be Saturday.
@@user-hx9uw5zd9k I completely agree. I keep hearing reasons why is not important to keep the Sabbath, that is not a big deal. But even our Lord Jesus kept the Sabbath. He was crucified on Friday, rested on THE SABBATH (even his apostles kept the Sabbath) and raised on Sunday! And I know a lot of Christians used that excuse for worshipping on Sunday (or Acts 27) but the truth is that the Roman Catholic church made that chance! They have admitted it and even challenged people to proof Sola Scripture otherwise! Jesus said "if you love me, keep my commandments".

Creation stands on a very strong foundation but evolution stands on a very shaking foundation, when I look at the wonders of creation, firmament, sun, moon, stars, human beings and animals, I think of a genius and a powerful God who made them all that evolution cannot explain where all these things come from. Just as temples of God can be holy, just as people can be holy, just as sacred objects are consecrated, so too can a day itself be holy, and the Sabbath is the holiest day of the week. Do not believe that man can change the day of the Sabbath; to transfer the holiness of one day to another. Sunday is actually the unholiest day of the week, namely because of all the pagan sun worship that took place on this day. It's in the name itself: Sunday = day of the sun. This unholy worship has corrupted this day of the week more than others.
“As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. When you don’t cut off, and you read the entire passage, it’s clear it’s referencing those who rejected Jesus or have yet to fully receive Him. If they had believed and had faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ they would have known He was their rest and entered. Those who didn’t believe continued in the old covenant. Some to this very day.

As a believer in Jesus there is no problem with worshipping on Saturday. There is also no problem with worshiping Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday or Friday. Or all the above... I do believe it is a problem to stand in judgement of and infer your brother is a liar, using the Word of God, when he doesn’t conform to Ellen Whites teachings and SDA doctrine. None the less, I Love you and forgive you.❤️

The “sabbath days” listed here was a reference to the Jewish holidays, not THE Sabbath. It was clearly understood by the intended audience.

"Sabbath days "refers to the festivals they kept not The Sabbathday which never changed see Hebrews 4:8 king James version Bible (the other Bibles have changed it). Seeing this (the day of worship )would be a problem because changing it was already starting to be a suggested alternative to the truth, Paul made sure he wrote about it that it be clearly addressed.. Even though Christ had already said :"I come not to change the law or what the prophets said , but to fulfill the promise of my sacrifice (to take your punishment which is death) Matthew 5:17. Hebrews says"And he spoke in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, and God did rest this day from all his works. And in this place again if they shall enter into my rest. Again he limited a certain day, saying in David, Today if you will hear his voice harden not your hearts, for if Jesus had given the rest, then why would he not afterwords have spoken of another day? There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God . For he is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his" Let us not forget to compare scripture with Scripture . Did God not say he would not alter anything that came out of his lips. Ps. 89:34. What times on Earth did God actually audibly speak with his lips? ( 10 Commandments and "this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased").Why had Jesus pleased Father God ? What had he done ,his ministry hadn't even started? It's in Jesus's words see John 15 :10. "if you keep my Commandments you shall abide in my love even as I have kept my Father's Commandments and abide in his love." Psalms 119:11 says I have hid his iword in my heart that I might not sin against thee . And Jesus says but he gives them a new commandment to write his laws on their heart Hebrews 10:16 and 8:10 Second Corinthians 3:3 .This Is Not a new law it is in the old law see: Jeremiah 31:33 Ezekiel 11:19 and Ezekiel 36:26 psalms 4:8 and psalms 37:31, proverbs 3:3 and proverbs 7:3 Joshua22:5. Jesus doesn't lie ,that would be blasphemy , and his intended audience knew their scriptures well. I would've understood this was not a new concept. So what was the new covenant he was making with people? The sacrifice had been for fulfilled. Type had met anti type . What did Jesus institute that was new? We traded the sacrificial system for communion, to show our acceptance of God sacrifice. See Luke 22:18-20 ; Mark 14 :22-25 ;first Corinthians 11:24.
What you are referring to are the ceremonial Sabbaths, feast days, and offering lamb sacrifice for our sins. These things were called handwritings of ordinances that were against us, which were nailed to the cross. The 10 commandmrnts were never called handeritings, nor were they called ordinances, and they were not against us. The Bible says in James, we will be judged by the 10 commandments. All the way throughout the New Testament it says to keep the 10 commandments. If you love me keep my commandments.
If you say you know me, and keepeth not my commandments, you are a liar, and the truth is not in you. Those are two of the many in the Bible. Do you love Jesus? It says you are a liar if you don't keep his commandments. The New Covenant, the 10 commandments are in our hearts

Hello Debbie. I would like for you to check out (Jesus in England by E Raymond Capt) on you tube. He was Mary's uncle. He was a rich metal merchant who mined tin in England. Tin was mixed with copper to make bronze. He took Jesus to England when Jesus was a young man or teen. When Jesus was crucified Joseph took his body to his new tomb. You had to be a relative to ask for the body of a person who was crucified. Pilot knew who Joseph was. Later Joseph started a church in England and Christians made pilgrimages for many years. Wow this actually explains why people value others so little and animals over others. That science theory really dehumanizes us humans and our values of ourselves and the love that we should show and place on other human life is perish. People value the lives of animals over other human beings. And the probablem begins when you dont firmly believe that you were created in the image of God or Let alone believe in God.

Yahshua made it clear that he's the Lord of the Sabbath. it's a figure of the Eternal rest yet to come. We enter into that Sabbath through Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 4:8-10). therefore we labor to enter into that rest.(Hebrews 4:11) Study (Romans 14:1-6) Paul makes it clear it is the one who is weak that esteems one day above another.(Colossians 2:16) Paul again admonishes the saints at Colosse to let no man judge them in respect of the sabbath. The sabbath day has a divine purpose, however, the focus of the gospel is on a relationship with Jesus the Christ.
James be careful you do not take Scripture verses out of Context. Just as your teacher told you in English class, that you must read in context; the Bible is no different. Paul was admonishing that we should not Judge a man, because Judgment is of the Lord, and if we know better, we must do better, instead of condemning anyone. By doing better, we stand a greater chance of influencing that person, than if we judge him.
Do not let stubborness leads you away from the Word of God, as it does not fit your thinking. That is why he send the Holy Spirit, the one who wrote the Bible, so he can teach us all truth. Let us call upon him today.

Read Isaiah 58:13-14 Jesus is the Lord of the Seventh day Friday evening to Saturday evening Sabbath. That mean that the seventh is all about Jesus not you. So we spend our time with Jesus, like a date it’s all about HIM.
