  • ACFI or the Aged Care Funding Instrument is a tool that is used to work out how much funding a facility will receive to subsidise the care and support of a person living in a residential facility. It varies between each person according to their needs. Here Kell provides an overview of how ACFI works.

      No problem, please be aware that ACFI is no longer used in residential care and was replaced with AN-ACC in Oct 2022. We will update this video soon.

    While increased funding may support the organisation's ability to increase staffing levels, in practice, organisations seldom do this. That's why staff-to-resident ratios are essential to help stamp out "a shocking tale of neglect".
