Anyone who doesn't do this needs to. Not just for the prep that really should be given, but if for nothing else it needs to be done because it's freaking exciting getting prepared to go fishing! I enjoy it almost as much as actually fishing.
I love the new format. I’m learning so much and I’ve been B.A.S.S. fish since I was 12 and I’m 64 now. Thanks Tyler for a great new channel and format.
Another aspect of scouting and intelligence for your body of water for us northern fishermen is going to your spots at different times of the year. I recently got to walk a bank that I frequently fish from the boat. Since it is now winter and all the vegetation has died off, I was able to learn a lot about the bank and bottom composition and see hard cover that is normally hidden inside the soft cover vegetation that chokes the area during my normal fishing season. Why don't I fish the area in winter too? Because it is way to shallow to hold any fish in the cold months and easily ices, so I take the opportunity to learn how to fish it smarter for when the fish return in spring and summer. I was also able to walk on ice in some of my favorite spots to see where the emergent vegetation(reeds) thins and thickens as well as how much water depth there is to allow fish to possibly move into adjacent backwaters in upcoming seasons. Don't underestimate the power of in-person scouting even if it is much more physically and time demanding.
Tyler, you contribute more to my fishing knowledge than any other channel I have ever watched. That is a big statement, and it is true. Everyone else just wants to sell baits and rods, etc. Thank You!
Funny. I just checked the weather for tomorrow but, specifically the wind direction and speed. I fish with the wind at my back from the bank and that dictates what spot on the lake I'll target. I'll even park in a different spot based on wind direction. Good tip.
Make sure to keep saying this is a different channel! I've watched so many of these not realizing you made a separate channel. Nevertheless, subscribed! :)
Didn’t ya used ta have a salmon, pink,or, Tahitian coral colored sun shirt?? will they be available again? I’ve got the white and grey ones … HAVE FUN!!!
This channel is just daily content. Short tips. No editing. BassFishingHQ is a lot more editing and bigger videos. They are just different formats so I have them on different channels
Prep from home helped me progress as an angler. It also gives me something to do that’s fishing related, even when I can’t fish on a particular day.
