He only had enough mana to activate Heliod once. That’s why Scotty tapped his angel. He would’ve gotten a free life gain if that dealt damage. He needed a way to give Ballista lifelink and another counter, otherwise it dies once the only counter is removed.
the shalai and halar deck was as useless as I thought it was, just a deck that does nothing but sometimes eventually wins, great game of the rest of the team tho!
