Five strangers board a caravan heading to Lastwall, an ancient kingdom watching over the grave of a long dead menace. Signed up as conscripts in the army, they face years of training and service, but as smoke begins to rise from the horizon they must come together as friends if they are to have any chance at survival.
Game Master Jason Bulmahn leads a group of five strangers (Gina DeVivo, Jeremy Steven Walker, Aki, Erika Fermina, and Rachel Seeley) who board a caravan heading to Lastwall, an ancient kingdom watching over the grave of a long-dead menace. Conscripted into the army, they face years of training and service, but as smoke begins to rise from the horizon...

I love how supportive everyone is. Ikyulys is trying to do the old 'man with no name' routine and they're just like, 'Yeah, you go ahead, be angsty, we support you, we'll help you be the angstiest!'
I'm absolutely love how Omelette played! Not only about accent, roleplaying and all that stuff oh no!
I saw how she noticed the bard being silent a bit while they all talked and gave her the spotlight. I saw it and was like 'wow! Now that's is the awesome player!'
Jason is a spectacular GM helping the characters along, definitely you can see where the melee is getting more production and how he ends up helping the left side of the table along to use their abilities when they are looking to compare damage later on in the adventure.
Also the best part is when the GM starts rolling Natural 20s against the party and the "niceties" start dropping but then everyone really starts opening up and more laughing and also game play tactics started happening at that point. Can;t wait to watch the future episodes.
What do you mean compare damage? Classes like the Bard and Cleric aren't supposed to do as much damage as Fighters and Barbarians, they're supposed to be casting spells to influence the battlefield but are usually sub-par at single-target damage.
I really appreciate the commitment to role playing at 45:00
“...she doesn’t know” *shrug*
Great work.
I've started watching this campaign today, 55 minutes in, enjoying it as if I were there in person by the table, and I'm thinking to myself - how could anybody dislike roleplaying!? It's fantastic.
I love how much more comfortable everyone got throughout the stream, by the end I was 100% sure I was watching the rest of this!
Jason is such a lovely and positive human being!
You say that. But read any adventure he has ever published and you would think he is the Whispering Tyrant himself.
I love that the players seem experienced and eager to roleplay.
oh they all played Pathfinder before u can clearly see
they're paid to be enthused and they look like they've never played this system before.
@@junkname9983 Sure...
Dr Thuganomics they’ve all clearly never played Pathfinder before, and at least one has never played table top before.
Um the game was only out for like a month before this was filmed, so yeah they hadn't played pf2e at that point, not many people had
this is the coolest thing about pathfinder 2e, guy literally describes slashing with his weapon and then punching the golem and the gm: "oh yeah you can totally do that in pf2e"
I am a benevolent game master, last time a dm said that he wiped the party after 5 sessions. This is a fun group can't wait to see more.
yeeeeeeeah, that's a NO from me. in no found Multiverse that is a reality!
No, no, no need to worship the sun, it just goes around!
Omelette Stonebreaker, Dwarf Barbarian.
1955 the look on the sun worshippers face after that comment is priceless
What i love about this is how he takes time to explain things really quickly
Never played Pathfinder, but listenning to this video, I really like the meta and how it is really fluid to use. Great job !
It's very fun :)
I love that they’re are doing more Pathfinder!
Omelette, well done. Great role-playing, wonderful accent (which I will dare say comes quite naturally) very very captivating hero and a joy to watch. As a DM since Rpg's began, your playing was a pure joy to behold. The group was wonderful, DM did a great job and thanks for the new show guys! Note to Players: Be sure to speak into mic, hard to hear sometimes. Have fun Players!
She was great, obvious plant though.
You are absolutely right. She was such a delight to watch!
I will definitely be watching the continuation of this story / campaign. Good job everyone there; both players & DM, and the crew of the production.
@@CrimzonClover plant?
@@crystalcortexx a non person, who is often a tree or otherwise shrubbery, could also be a nuclear plant or recycling plant. Nonetheless she and the rest of the ones are fun to watch, I'm happy I found this grove.
Damn, that rage-description at 53:00. Nice group you got there!
😡😡😡😡😡
"You were expecting a beetle but is was I, (12:12)!"
NNIICCCEEE
"Oh, you're approaching me, instead of running away?"
I came to comments for this one
"All I want to do is smash" looks like we're getting x rated

Can we just talk about how adorable Linneus (Cleric of Serenrae) is???
Elton, George, Dio, Freddie and David
@@Ryquard1 those Beatles should start a band or something...
Reminded me of Luna Lovegood.
Omelette is my favorite, I love her.
I've never fallen in love so fast.
@@HitboxingInTheLab I know right!
Same here., Don't know if that's her real accent but I love it
Mine is Lucky. :D
Careful with your heart, she's from the STONEBREAKER family.
I love that they're so into playing their characters!
I love this so much! Omelette is so lovely so is Linneus, can't wait to learn more about her background!
And there goes another favorite show of the summer for me. Bulmahn is so good storyteller also very fun.
Great GM (no pressure, Mr Pathfinder), great players (Omelette, poking, my sides = sundered) intriguing rules, best Pathfinder vid I have watched so far, getting my kids to start watching it with me on the big screen right about... now. Power to the Beat... Beetles.
As someone who only has played DND 5e and is looking into pathfinder, It was really funny when rolling a 25 initiative was pretty normal XD
its a shame i found it that late :D, it is pure fun to watch all of u playing. U managed to let me have atleast a lil smile on my face all over the time watching and many many loughing at all :D.
I could see the pure fun in all of your eys while playing, awesome.
This was a spectacular session! Not only was the story and RP really great, I also appreciated Jason's teachable moments. I look forward to rest of the series!
This is amazing! The entire cast is so brillant and clever and cute. And don't get me started on the accents some people chose. Will definitely keep watching!
i thouth the same but i rly did not like how gm leads the cast ended up droping at the first combat, battle seemed as exiting as playing battleships
I want Omelette in my party for the rest of my days
I'm not big on eggs.
First time watching a Pathfinder campaign, really cool mechanics. Really interesting characters.
This is the 2e
@@Rannugsral29 How much did they change the combat from 1e? I saw the 3 action system just curious if you played this ed of it
@@missivory_missraine they changed from a specified action type economy to a a generalized 3 action economy.
@@Rannugsral29 that's garbage
@@missivory_missraine How so?
Let's not forget the courage to do basic maths on camera
Yes... maths
Well it sure takes courage when it takes you 10 seconds to add the die roll to the attack bonus...
@@Depth175 yes, as in short for Mathematics. Very few, if any, outside the U.S., call it math.
@codyhoover Yeah... I'm aware. I was agreeing that math or maths is hard enough but to do it for an audience on camera, that is definitely nerve wracking.
well when combat as exiting as playing battleships, math might be more exiting
champion of shelyn(goddes of love and arts) "all i wanna do is smash" lol
Smash that clay into a table to make a nice sculpture you mean!
Which is perfectly fine since Shellyn is also the goddes of love. :)
Sounds appropriate. I'm sure the ladies love his enthusiasm and piety. All he wants to do is smash indeed.
Everytime I close my eyes, I wake up feeling so horny
Usually it take a while for me to get into a group, but with this one i fell in love instantly. What a great group, can't wait for more.
Btw minor thing at around 1.34.00 they forgot a sling needs an action to reload.
This is so good! So freaking enthusiastic about 2nd edition!
"I've been doin' so well with the stealthin' but gave myself away with the pokin'." (1:40:30) LOVE THIS LINE!!
I gave myself away with the poking (really love it)
Ive never played pathfinder but I always Dwarf it up in DND. Omelet is amazing. I'm always jealous of people with strong accents playing dwarfs. My dwarf always sounds more ready for tea party than battle.
Lovely to see the transformation of the players, from focused on their character and caught between being tentative or assertive in the beginning, to slowly finding their balance, their pace and coalescing into a fun party of friends by the end. Pure Fantasy RPG magic ♥ As a PF fan, I don't understand why people think that D&D 5e is more viewer friendly. This proves that wrong. I'd love to see more Pathfinder 2e game play videos like this.
I can’t wait until the beetles become level 20.
It's so great that everyone is having so much fun
This is a helluva lot of fun, watching while I play Pathfinder Kingmaker.
I’m not sure whether Lucky is a GMPC, but if he is, he is very well done. Never steals the spotlight, but does support the party.
Gidon Hausmann he’s a glorified NPC, he’s in Oblivion Oath as well
If by "support the party" you mean "stays out of the way" then yes. Lol
I asume Omelete´s player is newish to the game cause only a new player would think to climb an Earth Elemental to hit its head and evoke the fact they have the rock climber trait to justify their action. I love the enthusiasm and the inventiveness you see on ppl that are fresh to the game.
You thought it was a cute beatle BUT IT I WAS DIO
WRYYYYYYYYYY
~~ technically its DO~~
I thought the same thing!
"As you're introducing The Beatles" my sides
0rland0walkthrough I thought the fact she didn’t name them George, John, Paul, and Ringo was a missed opportunity
@@SerDerpish But Ringo's dead
@@BlazingAzureTheta And he really was a starr.
Sorry for the bad pun!
@@SerDerpish I think it was on purpose, because they are named after other rock singers, I.e. Elton John
Love the story, the characters, the roleplaying. But you know what I notice? Them sound gates shutting :D hats off to the sound guy/girl.
This is a great video and shows both good combat and rules. On a personal note after over 40 years of playing D&D, I wish I had those players in one of my game. Great role play and character development.
They remind me of my players a bit in how quickly they dropped into their characters. I'm a new DM and they're all pretty much new players save for one and I'm super proud of all of them.
@@Arohan71 For new players they are great
Gina is gorgeous and hilarious as always.
I just love the characters (and the cast). I can't watch so many actual plays because i dislike the characters.
Im so happy that i found a good pf2 campaign. You guys rock. But much love for the production crew. This video is so well made xD.
Jason is great, watching several campaigns at once he's doing on UA-cam atm (this and Oblivion Oath). Hope to see him do Age of Ashes or Plaguestone, his GM:ing is totally selling the game (just ordered the rulebook).
I like Brennan Lee Mulligan as a DM
Just finished first season of Oblivion Oath...can’t find season 2
The beginner box is a great way to start.
This is just amazing. Can’t wait to start our own Adventure
Bulmahn has loaded dice! So many Nat 20s.
He GM'd me at UKGE and rolled about 8 attacks in the short scenario, 4 of which were crits. What do we learn from this? Around Jason, Crit happens...
I absolutely love the beetles names. Amazing music artists.
Agreed
Here for the Stonebreaker clan :D Honestly, this was awesome and I'm so glad this was recommended to me.
Glad I came across this show. Introduction to Pathfinder, (interesting but not sure if I prefer the mechanics yet) . I'm mostly here for entertainment, story, rp and performance and man it def delivered on all those points! great cast, nice party mix and the chemistry, albeit new, seems to be starting on a good path. Excited to see how/where this goes. GJ everyone involved
A great Drungeons and Diygons jam!
Linnaeus is a kinda Irish cinnamon roll, omelette is Scottish and liss is french.
Every time Bulmahn says "trundle" you take a drink
Ugh, so grating right?
interesting system indeed. Only thing frustrating was that I often struggled to hear the cast over the music
Thank you for pointing out the music issue Logan. I've been paying attention to the constructive criticism and the audio issues have been corrected for all future episodes. Thank you for watching the show, our audience is the only thing that makes content like this possible!
The suspence, This adventure took a serious trun for the worse! I'm loving every moment and is very terrified about what's gonna happen next, but I will still watch!!
I heard "Benevolent Gamemaster" and immediately thought "They should start on their -2002s.".
Interested in watching 2nd ed in action. Knowledgeable GM and players having fun. Thank you.
Late to the party (hi hi) but I am loving this adventure. Such lovable characters, and some great RP moments.
That was fun. Suitably intrigued by Pathfinder 2nd Ed. Well done.
Watching this makes me realize how unreasonably spiky damage is in Pathfinder 2e, and it's not just my table.
do you think it's bad?
@@vyttieri It's really my only real complaint with the system.
I love Omelette ! She surprised me at the beginning xD xD I laughed 😂
"Your family must be very proud of you"
I loled
35:53
GM: Just got you?
Omelette: Yeeeh.
Oh man, she's just so lovely 😍
Great Job Jason and Co!
Super excited to play Pf2e for my self
Anyone else notice that Erica described her character as having "very dark skin" but the picture they showed was super pale?
Yeah, they didn't have their character illustrations in front of them and they ad-libbed a bit. Sorry about the confusion
@@JasonBulmahn I wasn't confused, I was just curious about the mix up 😀 thanks for clarifying!
the image is a official one from the books ... kinda weird that they took that
@@konstantinkoch6114 no, that's not weird; using iconics makes perfect sense. Weird was not giving them the illustrations to work from.
It's all good, though. Just a minor slip in an otherwise pretty great game!
@@ericwaters6194 weird was the wrong word i guess .. the others seemed unique or at least i dont know them .. i´d rather have something personal, but thats just me ^^
Patfinder 2e is the climax of ttrpg. A superior system.
"... and the rest is my bussiness." Here some thumbs up mate!
Just look at the massive size of that core rulebook... xD
I gave me-self away with tha pokin’
This is giving big night's watch vibes and I'm loving it
I think i love omelet.... 🤣🤣🤣
You had me at pathfinder
Hearing the DM gave me flashbacks to the Fitnessgram Pacer Test
Great cast.
My god if I was only listening I would never know that was Gina, holy shit that's some awesome accent work
It took me a while to recognize Luma...
I’ve never played a game but truly enjoyed your presentation
This is my first time hearing Jason's voice and I actually like listening to him DM
Thanks!
Glad you are enjoying the show!
Also check out The Oblivion Oath he runs as a 1 hour lunchtime game with Paizo staff, it's a hoot (available on officialpaizo twitch and their youtube).
56:07 i was totally thinking that he would say. " You should have gone to the head: 😂
Oh they are lvl five! That makes more sense...
Always though it was weird to start new players out at higher lvls
Outside the case where they are new players that never played D&D or PF, i never saw the appeal to start at lvl 1, you can hardly do anything, and you can be killed by Goblin sneezing at your general direction...
now i don't remember in PF but in D&D its more interesting at lvl3, since you can then choose your Subclass, and thats where your character really begins to become different from the others, prior to thatn there's absolutly no difference between the 2 rogues or the Sorceror and the Wizard...
@@Mugthraka Interesting perspective.
I've always been of the opinion that a good game is designed to give you options and maintain good pacing throughout the game. If the early "level" of a game is so boring that most players skip it, then why include it in the game?
Why not shift the game around Lvl 1 being fun and engaging?
@@Mugthraka PF is better at that and level 1 is not the chore that it is in 5e
It's interesting how this is tangential to the just finished adventure path the Tyrant's Grasp
Take a shot everytime the wagon trundles
You think they added enough adds? Lol still excited for this. Can't wait to dig into it.
2:41:38
"Lucky did it" - good one, GM! 👍😊
I love Gamemaster was smiling at her you know that wasn't good
Just a few minutes in and they're all heading to lastwall on a wagon and already I'm thinking... but a wagon only allows for a driver and two passengers. They can't all be on the same wagon.
Omelette! This is going to be great! Thanks for running :)
Jason is an amazing GM!!
Great players, all good and well-to-do ... some really great accents. Hope they can keep it up.
These are excellent players and an excellent GM. congratulations !
I really gotta wonder what level they are if they have +13 on stats and stuff. Also where can I get that beautiful golden d20 that omelett is using.
My guess is level 5. 4 from expert proficiency, 5 from level and 4 from attribute will take their "main" skills up to 13
a rly lovly grp and a great dm. clear sounds and no disturbing noices or table sounds. iam Looking Forward towards a good produced and entertaining Adventure. Thanks :)
I love camera engals and of course roleplay too
Ikulys: all I wanna do is smash
Me: jus like me fr
I'm late watching this but there couldn't of been a better voice for omelette
