IMPORTANT UPDATED INFO!!!
Figured out after uploading that I used the wrong schematic to get the materials list for the build so you won't be able to build all the blocks the exact same way in the video but you should still have all the blocks you need to build it! The texturing blocks might just be in different places but you'll still end up with a sword portal!
If you really want the exact item counts I would suggest downloading the schematic for the build yourself (which you can get for free over on my Patreon) and you'll be able to see exactly how many of each item you'll need to replicate it!
I also mistyped the number of trapdoors needed for the build! it should only be 74, NOT 174!

I saw a comment saying to put the other half of the sword coming out from the nether portal. Sounds like an awesome idea, maybe you can do it one day. Great job man you’ve gained my subscription 👍🏽

also for my world i found some sky islands and I made some lore for this
Long ago The god of the overworld and the Nether King had a glorious battle, but ending in his death. In his final moments he stabbed his blade in the ground and kneeled before falling over and dying, his remains eroded but not his sword. After some time powerful magicians lifted those same islands into the sky with gravity magic, taking the relic up with it.
The reason for the nether portal in the blade is so the Nether King can channel the fire and lava of the nether into his blade, lighting it aflame and leaving a lava trail where ever he swings.

You're totally correct! Not sure how that extra one got there but it should be showing 74 trapdoors not 174!

You should make a video on the opposite end like how to make a nether version with the sword popping through the roof of the nether
Tip: At 11:42 delete blackstone slabs so that there will be no gap (keep the slabs for the bottom layer)

bro how to vet exact same no. of blocks needed as you're saying that you showed the wrong one by mistake
You'll still be able to build a full sword portal with the number of blocks I showed, you just wont be able to place the blocks in exactly the same spots since the amounts are slightly different! (it'll mostly just be textured a bit differently) If you're using litematica you can download the free schematic I have posted on my Patreon page to get the exact block counts if you need it!
This took me lime 4 days to make but it was wroth it! Btw guys u can make the portal whit warped too i made it whit warped and it looks so gooooodd❤❤🎉🎉

The build is nice, but the tutorial and the video its self is so bad, can barely see what blocks is being placed
yh i didnt like the tutorial much. especially at the beginning. i built the stone thing and then the vid showed to make in the ground so i broke the stone and built in the ground then the vid built up
I struggled a lot and my horse left me I cried I mourned and I lost my sanity 😢. Good build though would recommend if you enjoy being a shell of a human after.

Study how other people build! I mostly take small bits and pieces that I've learned from watching some of my favorite builders and mash them all together to form my own building style! Good luck! :D

Just Jerm's Better Leaves Add-on for the bushy leaves, the rest is just vanilla textures with shaders!

what type of minecraft do u have and shaders?
I'm not sure what shaders he has, but I would go for complementary shaders, it looks very similar if not the same! There're a few tutorials on how to download and add complementary shaders to your pc

Why has no one mentioned how he says the obsidian portal is 19 blocks tall yet when he buids 2x8 of blackstone blocks its not as tall as the 19 block portal???

if I'm gonna be completely honest this is a cool build and all but the tutorial is lowkey trash.
Here are the reasons:
1. When you built the stone foundation you sprinkled the textured blocks in after instead of when building it what i mean is you built the foundation in stone first then broke stone to add texture my advice s to just do it when building it that way the materials are exact.
2. The materials were just completely off, i didn't have enough resources to built the second side of the blade. i didn't have Blackstone brick walls or slabs, and i had extra things.
3. Just build in first person instead of having it as third person, like if you have the time to download a mod for replays then why not just download a screen recorder instead that way we can actually see where to place the blocks.
I appreciate the feedback! I'm planning on going back and redoing this one since I never really was happy with how it turned out and I know I could do it better now. And as for the item list I didn't realize until a while after this was uploaded but I had used the wrong schematic to find the materials list and that's why the numbers for some of the blocks ended up being off, which i'm planning to correct when I remake this.

I prefer tutorials like this to be first person and showing all sides being built it honestly makes it so much more less confusing to me. Cause I can not figure out some of this build. It’s nothing against you but dammit I started to get pissed
Stop being lazy and update the materials list. Why would i go to Patreon just because you fucked up? Im like right in the middle building and realize im missing a lot of blackstone and you didnt even put the slabs and walls needed for texture. Come on bro... do better
