Thanks for this video Spa Guy, it is a whole other scene than for example Memphis Bealstreet, with the bicycles and noise and traffic and all the people walking. The scenery of the Harbor is amazing. Very beautiful city.
Thanks for sharing this again of your time in the Netherlands 😊 ❤ !!!! Memories to cherish. God bless. Safe travels and adventures Mr. Spa Guy. PS: "I am not as young as I once was", lol ! Isn't that all of us?!
Thank you Spa Guy, It is a Nice City very charming with old buildings, appears to be so quiet not too many people out Where is everyone? Also, a very different window display of the Dentist's office. Europe certainly is different! We enjoyed the video as always! Arrivederci!
You always make them interesting. Keep it coming man. I sometimes wonder the things we would know today had Elvis just brought you along with a Super 8 (when you were little) like the Kardashians do. Lol! 5:02
I read a very interesting book recently about a guy named George Blake who was from Rotterdam, became part of the Dutch resistance, wound up being a British Spy for MI6, and later became a spy for the Soviet Union. Him and his family lived by the canal in Rotterdam when World War II started and his father was a dock worker. He had a really fascinating life. His real name was George Behar and he later changed it to Blake. He had wanted to be a priest in the Calvanist church until the war started and that all changed once the war began. What years did Parker live there? Year he left for America? Do his relatives still live in Rotterdam? They would probably make for a really interesting interview. I wonder if any police records, school records, etc.. exist for him and might be accessible.
Bill, Parker was from Breda which is where is family lived.. He went to Rotterdam to work for his Aunt and Uncle on a shipping boat then got a job on a cruise ship and came to America on the cruise ship and stayed.. He actually came twice and was sent back the first time because he did not have a permission slip form his parents.. I think it was 1928 or 29 that he came to America.. I filmed in Breda talked to locals and even interviewed people who knew his family but never got any family to agree to be interviewed.. I have filmed all of the Parker stuff all the way down ti the spot of his birth that video is here.. ua-cam.com/video/GbzNAl5uOR8/v-deo.html
Would you please tell me what book about Elvis' life and music you believe is the most accurate and thorough? Off topic, I'm trying to take care of my Mom and one of the things that would be a big help would be a walk in bathtub with a seat, hand sprayer, and whirlpool jets. I realize you deal with hot tubs but if you could give me some advice on finding a really good walk in tub and finding someone who would do a really good professional job putting one in, I would very much appreciate it. I live in central Texas.
Bill the best book on Elvis' early life is Peter Gurailnic Last Train to Memphis it is 98/99% accurate and well done.. I have never dealt with a walk in tub so I don't really know anything about them.. We have a local manufacturer in Tennessee called Tradewinds looks like they have dealers in Texas not sure if they do close to you.. Sorry I don't know more.. www.tradewindinc.com/dealer-location
Thanks for the tour Spa Guy. Stay strong from Sterling Heights MI. 👍
