That is a lowveld small scale yellow fish. Sa record somewhere around 6 kilos i think that is an absolute unit of a fish. They used to be very prominent the transvaal river systems but due to pollution have gotten scarce around Gauteng. They were stocked into rietvlei in 2001 and they reach mammoth sizes in there.

In one of my previous rietvlei video's i did quite well on casting aswell but the boat helps to get on that far ends

Hi Charles. R37 per angler and the gates open at 06:00 officially but sometimes earlier.
How do you get your line out to 100+ meters?
We use a bait boat, luckily the bait boat we use also has a GPS on it, so it gives us the distance as as well.
