Final Wars is actually my favorite Godzilla film. It’s the one I’ve watched most. Seen it dozens of times.

I understand why people don’t like it, but at the same time I don’t understand why people don’t like it.
The articulation looks insane, which, like you said, Steven, makes sense considering it’s FinalGoji. I would’ve loved to have had some closed fists for accessories, due to this version of Godzilla being known to have done that quite a bit in his movie, and of course an atomic breath part would’ve been killer. In any case, the sculpt looks fantastic, the articulation is nutty, and the eyes and paint look rock solid.
Very much looking forward to mine arriving at some point!
So my pre order on BTS doesn't specify on the exact day it just says estimated arrival in May, is that normal
Been waiting for this review to help my decision in buying the figure. I was teetering on wether or not to buy it, and I knew that whenever this review came out, I would have a clearer answer. And I must say it did not disappoint as your review was the nail in the coffin! Imma buy it lol.

For many people including me were waiting for this for a long time so happy its here but joints poppin off and slight chunks of plastic on the eye brow and no accessories which should not be a issue for a 95 dollar action figure for the price I shouldn't have to modify a expensive figure
Edit: BIG UPDATE BOYS I got it and thank God it was a good copy eyes are slightly of but not enough to notice thinking about custom eye paint once I'm steady with my hand but overall solid joints on mine guess I got lucky FYI the copy I bought was from a Barnes and novels. While yes still pricy for what I got ill just going to go online or get a 3d printer for some accessories but pretty good nonetheless
Unfortunately, this will be the case for every SH figure, my SH figure has had an issue where the arm had access plastic and I tried to fix it and because it eas already partly torn I took a small piece with the access plastic. Granted everything else is fine and I actually rounded out the issue to where it wouldn't break. But, still for now much I paid I am a bit angry. It just seems like a thing with Imported figures

I'm glad the sculpt had enough differences from the 2002 and the 2000 sculpt that it's noticeable from a distance. Mine was delayed heavily so i was glad someone was able to review it before shipment so I could decide if I wanted to cancel. He's beautiful and I've collected enough godzilla's to put a breath if I want it. Definitely keeping my order
The articulation looks great. I'm glad that you pointed out that some of the joints popping off are more due to a design flaw, with parts rubbing against each other. As long as he doesn't fall apart with the slightest touch I'll be happy. Mine is shipping so I'm looking forward to getting it.

I'm personally very happy, that Final wars Goji got a monsterarts figure. It was my first Godzilla movie, made me a G fan. So when I have the money I'll definitely pick him up.
This is my first SHMA figure. Super pricey, but I love it! I got Gigan coming in the mail right now, and Monster X on Preorder. I hope they do a Final Wars Mothra to help complete the last fight of the movie, and of course a Keizer Ghidorah wouldn't be missed (though I shudder at that price tag)

I absolutely love this figure! Definitely one of my favorite adaptations of Godzilla in general and as a figure as well. Amazing review as always! Can't wait to add Monster X into the FW trio

Love the final goji. Amazing design, overpowered af, BUT it i'm a bit disappointed about the lack of a possible new atomic breath effect part and some qc issues...
Finally, my favorite JP Goji design comes to ShM, and it has been done justice! Well done!

I can’t wait to get him in my hands because I love Finalwarsgoji and it’s my favorite Godzilla design in the whole franchise.
For a while it seemed NECA was dunking on SH even at a lower price point for articulation (referencing mostly their '89 and 2002/03 Gojis, before their license expired, amazing figures) Seems SH really stepped up their game!

Mine had 2 pretty inexcusable QC issues. Neck didn't wanna stay on regardless of what I did, as soon as I moved it, it came off.
The left arm joint in the body was glued stuck, literally coated and wouldn't move so "muh gaps" was actually an issue.
I guess I was just extremely unfortunate with this particular figure.

Finally, a Final Wars Godzilla I can use as adult Godzilla Jr. I know it's really not him but that's what I always saw this design as.
Kinda sad he didn't come with a breath attack accessory. You would think he would have one since he literally spammed it and killed every monster with it in the movie.
Although i cant remember the last time monsterarts even gave us a figure with accessories

THAT LOOKS INSANE 1 LEG STANDING UP BEST FIGURE I HAVE EVER SEEN!
I think the figure has some other sculpt issues aside of one eyebrow being bigger than the other, like, the eyebrows are too raised, taking away Godzilla's angry look and making him look less mean, and also, the snout looks like it was sunk between his cheeks by a punch, because Godzilla's snout doesn't look sunken in the movie (this problem is fixed by the figure's side view angle, but it's only because of the cheeks).
How is it that the figures they make today are more expensive than old ones, which came with accessories
You know, I got this figure, and I'm not disappointed per-say, but when I look at it next to my others Godzillas on the shelf, I can't help but feel like it looks a little like a blank canvas compared to the others. The head also looks very separate from the neck making it looks fairly odd, but I think it's pretty clear that the goal for this figure was the articulation.
I’ve seen some copies with excess plastic around one of the eyes, what are the chances of my copy having this issue?
It looks like hit or miss with the eye! Particularly his right eye seems to suffer with a lot more of plastic!
This figure is disappointing and lacks in terms of quality and Accessories(none)s.h.m droped the ball again! Not gonna buy him or the stupid Monster x with 2 hands as an Accessoire for $130!

I love the design, big fan of Final Wars, but good lord SH MonsterArts quality in their figures have been either mixed or bad for years.
I preordered the Final wars Godzilla in amazon, but when I did it was 10 months ago, it got cancelled because the figure was not out for preorder yet, so now I lost the preorder and it is also unavailable now
The movie is fantastic. One of the best Godzilla films ever. Has everything!

Would you actually recommend SH’s? I don’t like the fact that the joints pop off and that they have muh gaps, oh, and the price!! But still, I’m curious because I make stopmotion animations and I wanna give Monsterarts a chance.
If sh monsterarts have been praised since 2011/2012 as the best company for how good their kaiju figures are I think it's obvious you should go with them. However note not all sh monsterarts figures have loose joints and when it comes to final wars this is no exception. Some individual figures of this guy are ridiculously loose and others are stiff to work with. Then again I'm not using my version (which is still good) for stop motion so it may vary on the figure you're using and how often you're using it for stop motions

I received mine yesterday and today the leg popped off and the joint fell out. Was able to fix it but it took a while now I’m very worried but it’s still good if your careful
Mines tail was popped off the base body at the very start of the tail idk how to fix it. I tried to pop it back on and it made the waist peg spot pop out of the hips. So please I need helpful words
I really like this figure, all of the "issues" that everyone has are a bit much in my opinion. I think it looks great

I personally think it’s a GREAT figure edition to S.H.MonsterArts line and my Godzilla has no issues at all. Luck out, I guess for this particular figure and I’m very happy that we are getting some newer figures in this line including Monster X himself !
I’m disappointed with NO accessories included for the price point that all of us are paying for these SHMA figures.
The Godzilla Final Wars movie is a like it or leave it movie. It’s one of the wackiest Godzilla movies that I have ever watched. The aliens IMO are a joke and I think humanity could have beat the hell out of them without Godzilla’s help but wait a second… Why did we busted him out of his frozen prison that humanity put him there in the first place? Because they can and will do it again, if you followed the movie plot…. LOL !

Hi steven, for the joints popping out issue, is it possible to fix them using hairdryer instead of pledge and superglues? I read some guides it seems heating the socket joint with hairdryer and pop back the ball joint will make the ball joint contact properly with the socket, thus not popping out as often as it gets.
You use tightening methods when the joint is loose.
Why do the joints pop apart here?

Thanks for this review I just bought a new sh monsterarts final wars and I wanted to know if it was worth it and boy was it
Finally got mine from BBTS. So far no quality control issues but there are some small issues. The paint from his toe claws on his left foot are a bit on his skin and his left eye pupil is a bit lower than his right one to the point where it’s not looking up like it should be on all the promo pics and in the movie. But it could be a lot worse and from the front he still does look like he’s looking straight ahead even if the pupils are a bit uneven. So I would say it’s satisfactory enough to keep and also I’ve never returned a figure to BBTS based on a few sloppy paint areas and eyes not completely symmetrical, so I don’t know if they would’ve taken it back and replaced with a better one unless anyone can verify that they will. I also agree that $90 for this guy is just outrageous. He’s cool and all but not worth that much with no accessories.
I got mine in this morning, and well, my initial reaction was not good. The seller didn't package the figure well enough and the box was damaged (I don't plan on selling my figures, but I like to display my boxes) and then I saw it....mine had EES (Elephant Eye Syndrome) Not as bad as ive seen, but enough to look derpy. Not only that but he just feel apart....oddly enough except for the tail.
But for anyone who does have the extra plastic over the eyes: I took an xacto knife and cut along where the excess plastic juts out, then sanded it down and he looks great now. Also due to our wonderful Tennessee heat, he was still soft enough to bend the eyebrow back so it didn't cover the eye (im sure you can use a blowdryer). Once he (and myself) cooled down the joins didn't seemed to fall off as easily and his eyebrow looks pretty good now. For the $120 I paid this should not be an issue but man, is he fun to pose. I have him in the same pose as the Yuji Saki "cat crouch" sculpt and other than the torso falling off, had no issues. One nitpick I had that I haven't seen mentioned yet....his tongue is not on a balljoint, but glued down. It's not even able to swivel like the 2001. Paint is real good though. No wonky eyes and the claws look just like bone due to the wash. Great teeth and mouth paint too.

Just received my monsterarts 2004 and its rlly good no mold defects except the dumbell joint connecting the arm to the chest is so tight and the 2nd segment of the tail feels like it has a spring in it and it goes back in place so im scared to move it,The neck joint connecting to the torso is loose but its a rlly good figure
Edit:fixed the tight joints and realize the second segment is a long dumbell joints and the piece that kept going back in place was just attached to the middle of the dumbell joint

If there’s one thing I don’t really like about the dorsal plates is that they look too dark
Would you say the sculpt is stylized or is it movie accurate?
I just got mine and it near falls apart at the touch, the left elbow falls apart when bent, head pops off frequently, right wrist falls off, and the tail cannot stay connected
Despite all that it still looks and poses great
The tip of the tail falling off is what is really giving me anxiety since I purchased it. So far, I haven't had any real issues except for that piece, which falls off when you look at it. I know eventually it will get lost. I was spared from the "K. Rool" look, thankfully, though there is definitely extra plastic over the right eye. I watched the whole video (which was great btw, and I'm glad someone else addressed the same issues I had. I really didn't want to have to exchange or take this figure back if I'm have the 'better' figure with less issues), but does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix the tail tip problem?

it depends. most of the time ultima is more expensive but its slightly larger and has a great tail. for me personally i like final wars but its a 50/50 considering they both are godly

Next time body parts pop off, try heating up the sockets before putting it back together, might help. Was how I've fixed Ghidorahs (Heisei, Legendary) necks and tails to restore them to intended functionality, and have heard it helps with this guy too.

You can do whatever you want with your figure, but that's not gonna change the sculpt pushing into the other parts of the body putting stress when you move it causing the joint to pop out.

The monsterarts creators need to deal with these figure that like to pop out before releasing them
i don't know what witchcraft you used to get him into a pose that allows him to support his own weight. let alone the fact you balanced him like that for 35 seconds
Tbh I own it it's amazing and ive had figures that would break if forced so I rather it fall apart and be fixable they did great on this figure overall just needed accessories

Dang, I’m so relieved it turned out good. I was worried Bandai would screw it up like the 2002 Godzilla, (the one I have has bad eyes and teeth), but nope! I got bought my monsterarts King ghidorah off big bad toy store in February, we called bbts in March and they said it would come in April. Currently raging because I haven’t gotten it

I am truly huge fan of Godzilla but i not huge fan to collect another Godzilla 🙁. I prefer keep my Godzilla from Godzilla vs Kong version rather than buy another Godzilla, plus, my shelves is running out of space, so i do not want to collect another Godzilla 😑.
