Glad your feeling ok enough to get back into it and not to worry there is loads of time to get growing. Most of April will be sowing and prepping time 👍. Have a super weekend and keep smiling summer is around the corner, Ali 🇨🇦
Lovely to see you back on your allotment and getting the kids involved with seed planting. My 12 yo grandson is proving to be a great help with my allotment- he digs and weeds for me. I can’t wait to see this years progress but do take it easy. 😊
I sowed my onions in January, they struggled but soon (this week !) I will plant them out, It will be good to see how they compare at harvest time because I'm sure January is NOT a good time to sow onions, Give us an update on the progress. Thanks for the video and see you in July/August at Harvest. PS keep the vids coming.
Good to see you back. We are all waiting for the weather to calm down. Usually rain is so welcome but it seems to be never ending here in Hampshire. Good luck with all your seeds.
Sets are more prone to bolting as they are onions in their second season and can, if you've not bought them from a reputable place like ebay, contaminate your soil with white rot. Onions from seed are brilliant in clumps of 3/4, I tend to sow mine in December or January to get big onions, but I'm greedy haha

The vids will start again now, as I need to get out of the house more the kids are driving me mad.

If the seeds turn out ok, will do the same next yea. As for white rot, yea tiss a worry that. One of the reasons my plot is set in smaller beds.
