well congratulations to Ghanaian Jollof on this victory. You've done well clap for yourself. Although i have been t enough wedding receptions to know that just because the jollof was made by nigerians doesn't mean it gets too be called 'Nigerian Jollof'. Just because some dirty handed aunty from Oshodi is in the back talking and spitting as she is cooking the rice doesn't mean it gets to class itself as the same rice my mum and my friends make. Anyway congratulations to my Ghana people. Today you have excelled yourselves.
Mbok don't congratulate them yet. OKAYAFRICA must do a part two of this video....lol ..... Nd yes, i support you on this: "Just because some dirty handed aunty from Oshodi is in the back talking and spitting as she is cooking the rice doesn't mean it gets to class itself as the same rice my mum and my friends make." Am sure one Iya Risikat made the jollof...lol
Africans are hilarious, those two ladies the one with the purple hair and orange top should have a show, they are hilarious as hell. If they are whites they would have... Just funny, natural timing comedy jabs and they don't even know they are doing it.
Can't stop laughing...... this video is lit, and funny too...... I am PROUDLY NIGERIAN and it is obviouse there is a conspiracy there.... who did OKAYAFRICA contract to cook the NIGERIAN JOLLOF? ........should have called my aunt. Boy! she can cook jollof for Africa...... ONE LOVE
Hmmmm ive watched a few of these comparison videos today....Ghana has won the taste test everytime so far. I havent had Nigerian Jollof before so Ghana it is😎
We demand a do-over! obviously the person making the Nigerian jollof was not....ready lol. this isn't fair OOOOO LOL please part 2! Let us choose our own Nigerian approved chef this time.
Nita Sweeta The Nigerian jollof looked orange enough to me, I was surprised by the Ghanaian jollof! Ghanaian jollof is usually way more orange/red than both plates. When I saw it I was like aww damnn they let us down 😩😩 but apparently it still tasted better lool
As some people have mentioned, it really depends on who cooks it. I've tasted my Ghanaian friend's jollof, and it was good. There's been times when my jollof (Nigerian) has been blah, and times where I've been like 'babe, high five' And then there's my Nigerian friend's jollof, that each and every single time always tastes bam! And also, like these guys said in the video, the thing about Ghanaian jollof is it tends to be dryer than the average Nigerian jollof, and it has this smoky flavor to it (wait, Nigerian party jollof does too o). Woo see they're both good jare!
since when did all these other places come in biko we are not worried about you guys we are only focused on Ghana and Nigerian Jollof stop trying to make your place relevant ahah
i love yoruba jollof nice its nice.because i am not from ghana so their jollof rice is different to what i am used to so i would say ghana jollof rice is nice especially if you add shito on it! but best jollof rice has to be senegal!!!!
Omg, I was gonna start this comment with a 'Hahahahah, Jolof or Djolof is Senegalese' but yeah listen. Jolof or Djolof used to be a Senegalese kingdom before the imperialists came in Senegal. Till now, a lot of Senegalese call the country Djolof or Sunugal, or Galsen. However, Jolof rice, like you guys want to call it, is know as ThieBou Djen Penda Mbaye in Senegal. This means literally rice and fish with the name of the creator, Penda Mbaye behind it. There are different variants of it, red as well as kinda white but also with fish or meat. In Senegal (and I guess in lot of other (west) African countries), we used to have other cereals (mostly millet) as base for our meals. When the French arrived, they changed the agricultural system of the kingdoms and made us cultivate grondnut and eat rice for their own enrichment (hahah, bad French people). However, I used to hear that no one in the country (Senegal) (or maybe even in the whole west Africa then under French annexation) didn't know what to do with rice. Penda Mbaye, 'La grande ingenious dame' of Saint-Louis cooked something that you won't be eating sitting or standing up (lol). That's is where the by you so called 'Jolof' rice originated. Lol. So far, as I am writing this, I have watched till 2:19 of this video. Two of the narrators sarcastically said that 'It originated in Senegal but we improved it' and 'Sometimes good things don't begin where they are supposed to begin'. Hahahahaha, I say: how about giving to Samba what belongs to Samba! (Samba is a well known kinda (Fairy)tale Senegalese and maybe west African name). Otherwise said, why won't you guys just give us the credits, Lol. I don't know how your Jolof rice taste, but for sure I can tell that it is difficult or maybe impossible to beat (taste better than) the Senegalese ThieBou Djen Penda Mbaye. A bon entendeur, salut. Lol. Btw, it is a very nutricious meal. The Senegalese version contains a lot of vegetables and fish or meat (google-image it). Cute video, thumb up.
Different tribes have different features. Nigerians and Ghanaians are of many ethnic groups and not all Nigerian tribes are tall with facial hair. There are many tall Ghanaians with lots of facial hair. All depends on the phenotype of the tribe. Country name means absolutely nothing.
the thing is, it's not which one taste best. i've tasted some pretty bad ghana jollof rice before and pretty bad nigerian jollof i think it's the way it's cooked i mean c'mon there are some ppl that can cook and there are some that can't cook so well
