Let me know your favorite detail from this video! Part 2 currently has about 33+ details and Part 3 might end up with 50 details. This may as well be the first movie where I end up finding 100+ Hidden Details and Easter Eggs! Let me know your thoughts lads..
theres this one scene where spot shows miles their "future" and for a glimpse of a second theres a shot of spot being surrounded by dead spider people, wish you can like analyze the spider people ??
If you watch the scene where miles and Gwenda hang upside down you can feel tension, pressure or weight on Gwen eyelids from gravity. Or is it just me?
The scene where Miles's dad sees the big hole and music tell us that he's gonna jump but then cut to miles's dad climbing down the stairs is the exact same scene that is seen in spider-verse 1 when miles encounter his new powers. This show how the dad and miles are acting the same. Which mostly happens in dad-son relationship.
Something I just noticed: when they say that Miles has a B in Spanish, and Miles' parents reprimand him lightly- his mom snaps her fingers, and there's a small burst of color there. It's in the design/colors of the Puerto Rican flag. I just think that's a really nice detail
Hey, i've noticed during the scene where miles and his parents have a meeting with the lady talking about miles future and school , when thé dad and miles left , Rio looks in her bag and she fines a card that she looks and then put back in the bag. Now i think it is a pokémon card ?(i was not able to see a footage with high quality, but i'm thinking it might be a cool easter egg. I'd love to have opinions on this !
Also when rio said damonbreak(Idk how to spell it) and miles asked if it was spanglish, rio have him a look as if rio say "you would know that if you went to class"
Small detail: At the end of the movie when miles gets sent back to the wrong universe you can tell things are off early because miles’ mom’s eyes are green instead of brown.
For me the big clue was the comment on the hair. It was like a *spidertingle* moment... but i hadnt really figured it out. Juste that something was off.
A detail I loved about The Spot's design is that he's covered in anatomy reference sketches like for his shoulders and face* which in my opinion hints at the idea that he's still a work in progress in terms of character development
One of the things I noticed someone point out for the chase scene was that if Miles wanted to truly escape and not be caught, he could have just turned invisible. Before the chase even began, he planned out luring everyone away from the Citadel so that he could return home.
Agreed! I think him hiding was also to throw them off. If he ran by in plain sight, they may have caught on that he was baiting them. I think he let them think they caught him hiding so they wouldn’t catch on. If true, it’s insanely quickly thinking and smart of him. 🤷♀️
The movie is a feast. I love how they play with art styles and colors, and how they throw easter eggs while introducing characters, explaining things... those are fun. The pace (for me, at least) is overwhelming in a good way... perfection.
In the initial sequence where Gwen first talks to her dad in her room, the dark and darker shade of blue represents depression and grief in Gwen's life after the death of Peter and the door to her room from where her dad enters is completely lit, which imo suggests that her dad is the one who brings light to her life after Peter, when Gwen and her dad hug each other, their colors blend into each other which is kind of a symbolic representation of their emotional connection and support for each other.
something I also noticed from the scenes in her bedroom was that the more intense the argument got, the for the paint started to drip or slide on the wall
These scenes have a really heavy kandiskij influence i suggest to search him is an abstract artist, and naturaly many of the color theory also come up with that artist.
The baby powder is also a reference to the first spiderverse where the first tips sad Peter Parker gives miles is to use baby powder, and the second tip is to use alot of baby powder especially around the joints.
@@AbhijeetMishra Outside of the times he used his venom blasts, that is the one moment I can see beeing plot armour, well and moments like his not waiting until 3 to draw etc
@@AbhijeetMishra it wasn’t u realistic. Their all Spider-Man and they all share a connection. If it was a totally different character say - ironman then the spidey society would have been more competent at catching him.
I love Miles' arc in this movie. It feels like a complete story for him but also incomplete. I don't know how the writers do that. This film is amazing on so many levels
@@jemjemjelly10 Same, I love it so much. Truly just a mother trying to make her child understand how much he means to her, and for him to protect himself and never give up.
@@jemjemjelly10 It's especially poignant for those if us who actually received a speech like that from our parents and found it to be useful when going out into the world
@@bw4348 exactly that's what films are all about and that's how people can have wildly different takes on them because we relate to different things yet it still brings people together
I noticed these things in Gwen's universe 1. Towards the end of the film when Gwen hugs her dad, the background and characters become almost entirely pinkish indicating her dad(who is her "world" in this universe) is with her again. 2. She also sees herself as Gwen in the reflection towards the end coz she is not sure if she is stil doing the good thing and expressing herself when she is Spiderwoman, she may also b doubting herself as Miguel and Jessica rejected her. In short she's not doing her own thing now. 3. When Gwen reveals her identity to her father we can see the background animation to be something like painting fading or getting ruined by water, I believe this depicts that her world is breaking apart and also may indicate tears on paper showing sadness. Edit: I would like to add a new detail which idk if is already out there. When Peter B Parker enters Miles' world in the first movie, he is in a world without Spiderman(Remember miles is still figuring it out), Gets knocked out by Miles and is tied to a punching bag. When Miles enters Earth-42, he is in a world without Spiderman, gets knocked out by Miles and is tied to a punching bag. Damn!! that is impressive attention to detail.
2:58 The color scheme of Gwen's watercolor world could be talked about so much more Like when they talked at home in her room in one scene and he was depicted in warm and bright colors like orange yellow and red while she was in the shadows of her room depicted in shades of blue purple and violet, showing both that she's working and living in the shadows and also that she's upset and nervous and just overall in a bad place while her father is trying to do his best to see and be the light, and when she hugs him she goes from those depressing colors to the same warm colors as him as the world around them also changes color showing how much of a mix of emotions their life is right now but that together they can be happy and support each other
That scene got me. She knows that all spider-people's father, a captain, will die. Does it mean since he quit it won't happen or, she's just realizing this might be their last hug? ...it killed me seeing this scene.
Рік тому+3
That's the best part of the movie to me (visually/ storytelling speaking). Awesome and beautiful work there. Lovely.
I have another hidden detail, but I’d like to give a quick spoiler warning first. Not only is this movie crazy with these intricate details, but into the spiderverse also had an amazing detail that gave a clue to something that happens in across the spiderverse. In into the spiderverse when Peter Parker Spider-Man of Earth 1610 first meets Miles Morales at the collider, the spidersense tingles for both miles and Peter. When that happens, it shows Peter’s tingle in blue and red, symbolizing Spider-Man’s colors. When it shows miles though, the first time it tingles for him, it is purple and green, which may symbolize the fact that if he wasn’t bitten by that spider, he would actually have become Prowler like he did in Earth 42. But soon after you see the purple and green, Miles’s spider sense transitions from those two colors to red and blue, showing how his future changed from becoming Prowler to becoming Spider-Man.
Man I love Spot as a villain at first he was just a joke and so silly and further in the film he became serious and scary I love it, amazing character development I think
That's not really character development though. Who he is as a character hasnt changed past him just existing then shifting to him wanting to be taken seriously. He hasn't grown or changed or learned, he's just got access to more tools in order to push the plot along but it has barely effected who the character is or how he thinks. Character development is about personality, depth, and motivation that propels a character through the story making them 3 dimensional and dynamic
another lil detail i loved: In the end when Miles meets his counterpart in universe 42 we can see how that version of himself has a strong accent as he grew up around his mother more after his dad died and eventually adopted her accent.
So, there's this really cool attention to detail that the animators had in this movie. Miguel O'Hara is jacked and has broad shoulders in this movie, but in Into the Spider Verse, he has about the same stature as Miles Morales. But how he got so strong is because he doesn't stick to walls, instead he has protruding claws that stab into them. Basically, forcing him to do multiple pull-ups to get up a wall.
I always thought it was just that he works out because of stress. In the first movie, he was built like a regular spider-person, but ever since he has been collecting Spider-People, he started staying in the gym more. Like, remember how he was more positive in the ending scene of the first movie and when he met the FIRST Spiderman and how pissed he got because Spider-Man 616 was upset at being pointed at. Now, imagine having to deal with that on a multidimensional scale. I'm getting pissed just thinking about the amount of Quips I'd hear. "Hey Miguel, how are you? Oh, me just HANGING around". That's like the number one Spider-Man joke. Now imagine hearing it every time you see A Spider-Person hanging from something. "Hey Miguel, High five, Dont leave me HANGING".
“Rest in Power” isn’t just “Miles seeing Uncle Aaron as a superhero” - this is a real phrase, for the purpose of stating that this person either fought against oppression or suffered because of it, and that they cannot “rest in peace” until real change is made in their society. This phrase showed up on the mural Miles made with his father at the end of the last movie, so this is clearly intentional. I’d give the phrase a Google for a correction next episode, if you can.
He started out with erroneously calling Inspector Singh, Spiderman India's father...unfortunately it's the type of content that you can't tell if it's wrong unless you KNOW it's wrong.
the lego jump was probably the craziest one of all tho "hmmm doc ock exists must've been Toby McGuire's universe exactly but lego it's the only explanation"
I would like to mention the one of the Vulture's projectiles were of the Helical Air Screw. This was designed by Leonardo Da Vinci as a possibly way to achieve flight. It's cool to see Vulture use it since they both are from the same time period.
I also want to point out the parallel with Miles and his dad. In the first movie, Miles contemplates jumping off the building to prove he's Spider-Man, but uses the stairs. And here, his dad uses the stairs too after contemplating to jump into one of the spots.
Nice find. Everyone in my theatre laughed when it looked like "JEFF"😂 was going to jump down the construction site, but immediately cut to him using the stairs instead. Later there was the part with Gwen, Miles, and his parents under the water tank and Gwen having to go. She stopped at the stairs for a while, then walked down, as did Miles, but with a longer hesitation.
So you know, 'Rest In Power' may be less to do with seeing his uncle as a superhero, and more because that phrase is well used in Black (and some other POC)* communities when a loved one has passed away. E.g. when it is seen on the mural wall later in the film for Miles' dad
@@cesarm9059 Well to be fair it is a superhero movie. Plus correct me if I'm wrong but that seems like a cultural thing meaning that someone who's not from that culture probably wouldn't know that. Using his knowledge and the circumstances in which it appeared he came up with an idea of what he thought it could mean.
@@cesarm9059He’s from canada so he prob doesn’t know everything about US culture and niches. Plus, the Rest in Power Slogan is a little less on the nose than a lot of other details, and you have to have a little more knowledge on Racism and systemic issues in the US to know
I just want to point out that Miles is an artist, most artists have a tendency to draw while doing other stuff, like being in class and it's when they're more inspired to draw, the spiderman logo he ends up using probably comes from when he was in class
i'm a design student and i LOVED watching the scene with gwen and her father and reading the colors in real time. it really felt like being able to read the characters minds.
Fun fact, in the party scene when miles opens the cake boxes, he uses his spider stick or whatever u call it to open the boxes from the top instead of the front. Really cool hidden detail!
I noticed that Miguel's movements are more animalistic than anyother Spider-Person. During that first chase when Miles runs, Miguel starts off on all fours, which could be seen as him getting the speed to catch Miles quicker than just standing up right away, it almost looks natural to Miguel, like he's acclimated to moving on his hands and feet. It also matches his brutal nature, he's more blunt: "what must be done, must be done" and "you can't change Canon Events" type attitude.
@@hooshoof714 She just says it jokingly, but he's not really half vampire. his powers kinda seem like one though, having Red eyes from his transformation, or Fangs with Toxins from the spider-part of his DNA.
8:50: I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT! I didn't see that frame! It flew by too fast. But as soon as I saw the alternate Miles in the end, it just clicked in my head. "The spider was always meant to bite A Miles Morales! There was ALWAYS supposed to be a Miles Morales Spider-Man, the spider just bit the WRONG ONE! TAKE THAT MIGUEL!"
That doesn't really change Miguel's point. It's that 1610 Miles specifically was not meant to be bit. Another Miles being the one meant to be bit doesn't change that.
7:37 when miles enters the room we can clearly see that a picture of Son heung ming a korean footballer. Showing that his roommate is also korean. Hatts off to the editor 👏👏
One small visual detail I liked was how Spot's design has his character anatomy guideline still present like how you can see the circle for the skull, the lines that connect the limbs, the shape for his ribcage etc. etc.
Fun Fact: When Miguel attempts to bite Vulture with his fangs, it was because according to the comics, he has paralyzing venom which he would've used to contain Vulture rather than knocking him out or tying him up.
@Zenitsu because he was interrupted by the helicopter pilots, who accused him of being a villain immediately after. Hard to gain trust while Morbin out on the villain.
@@bluecrewmate8143 If it was such a big deal for him to save the Universe looking for possible anomalies. I think he should've bit him before tryna gain trust.
An interesting detail that I'd like to mention is that when the spot starts to drag the ATM out of the shop, right before Miles reveals his presence, he rolls it on cans that he gently sets down on the floor. It's an amazing detail I noticed only on 3rd viewing that I feel like should be mentioned here
Here's a fun detail When miles asked ganke to call the police after he webbed the spot ganke was complaining that he didn't want to be the guy in the chair but Ned was excited to be the guy in the chair for Peter without him even requesting proving how good a friend Ned is
I think it was done to differentiate the 2 movies seeing as the MCU borrowed a lot from Miles' material for their Spider-Man. The first time I heard the term "guy in a chair" was from "Spider-Man Homecoming".
The spider logo is actually drawn on a sticky note This is a common trick traditional artists use when they want to try something out but don't want to fully alter the base drawing. Usually, hair styles, clothing, and as Miles was using it: logos.
gwen's story in the comics is very sentimental. the writers did an amazing job on her character and writing her inner turmoil. i recommend reading her original run - the 2016 one.
5:44 That might actually be a D-List Spider-Man villain called Grizzly, he's a bear themed supervillain. It seems to fit the theme that the animators/writers were going with Miles fighting various Villain-of-the-Weeks.
Fun fact: When Hobie told Miles to use his palms, not just his fingers, Miles actually uses his palms when he breaks out of the cage using his veno-shock, that's why Hobie smirks after he does it.
I love the points you brought out. I noticed that in the movie that Gwen is just like her father, when he put his work first so did she. But when he stepped down it gave her strength to put Gwen and her feeling before her "duty" as spider woman 3:00
When Our Miles went to the earth 42, he wear a jacket to hide his spidey suit. But instead of the regular red and black jacket (Those are Miles's usual colors) it was Green and Purple. Which are Prowler's colors. This shows that the Miles 42 is prowler even before it was revealed.
I'm glad someone mentioned the mood colors in Gwen's universe, as they seem to use it a lot to portray the character's state of mind. I never noticed the duality for Gwen's father.
Another detail that I love is at 7:36 in Miles’s dorm, on the left side there is a poster of Son Heung-min, a famous Korean football player from the club Tottenham.
2:00 When Gwen was talking with her father in her room, the atmosphere was cold at first, so the animators used an cool color palette, meaning mostly blue and greenish hues and darker shades..then Gwen's dad said " Too punk rock to give your dad a hug?" Then Gwen hugs him and then from there you can literally see warmer colors blending out through them and making entire room warmer, that is more yellow and red hues and brighter shades. Something similar happens near the end too, when Gwen comes back and confronts her dad. Edit: They called Gwen's world a "mood ring" for this Also that color blending is unique to watercolors, I think artists can expand on this better than me 💙
Also, at the end of the renaissance vulture fight, someone in the art museum says in the background, "... I think it's a Banksy." which also happened in the first movie when pedestrians came across the glitched-out streetlight near the beginning.
Don't know if this is an already known detail, but it would've been known in the first movie that the spider that bite miles was from another dimension because it was glitching and all👀
While watching the movie, I noticed that the visuals would mirror the characters' thoughts and emotions, and this video further supports that observation I made. There were details I wasn't able to spot some of them the first time watching so this video really goes in depth and shows the efforts of the people who have worked on this movie. Respect to everyone involved in the making of this masterpiece.
one of which i noticed is that the spider society chase scene, unlike other scenes which have backgrounds that have different effects such as different coloring and blurs and such, the scene is very clear which shows the characters' clear thinking during the scene.
As someone who has spent the last 30 years consuming every bit of Spider-Man content I could, I feel as if this movie was a love letter to me and everyone else like me.
Kinda loved how you explain all these amazing details. And I just noticed that before Miles and the Spot fought for the first time over an ATM, the Spot actually lined some cans in order for him to use them as wheels and push the ATM much easier.
A hidden secret: when spider punk was gathering parts it was actually for the watch that Gwen wore for gathering her own team to save miles. Another secret: when miles is trying to go to his universe and he enters universe-42 it was already odd because when he wears the jacket it’s purple and green and his moms eyes are purple and green too I hope you put these two and keep up the good work
9:32 that's like saying "Oh yeah this guy at the mental facility knew where the bathroom was, but our hero didn't. This just goes to show that even mentally disabled people can be smarter than the hero" like dude Spiderman India probably mentions Chai pretty often compared to Miles who lives in New York; obviously he'd be more familiar
7:10 ⏸ A little detail I noticed: It appears that the people of Miles' universe actually him Spider-Man #2 since he is the successor to that universe's Spider-Man. Its funny considering that as fans we always call Miles (Miles Morales Spider-Man) and (Gwen) Spider-Gwen. Even though their in-universe names are just Spider-Man and Spider-Woman, respectively. While the citizens of New York call him, Spider Man Number 2.
A cool detail what I noticed is at the end when miles's mom asks miles if his costume is for comic-con. This is a direct reference to the ITSV where peter b says "Save it for comic con" and miles is not aware of comic con, indicating that there is no comic con in Earth 1610B and this is a different universe
Good catch. He does evolve throughout the spot fights and gets better at adapting to how difficult he is to fight. Miles is an insanely strong and smart spider-man.
A cool detail I found on my 2nd watch is when Miles is trapped by the Miguel shield or whatever, when Miles punches the shield aggressively in hopes to escape he cant, but then you can see Hobie gesturing his suggestion from Mumbattan where he tells Miles to not use only his fingers but his entire hand for his absorbing ability which helps Miles break through the cage. His gesture looked as if he was trying to tell Miles to stop to the others and give up, but Miles realized what he meant.
See that’s the thing though miles only escapes because of his powers not saying he can beat Peter even if he was mastered in it butttttt they will make adaptions bc of their experience
This movie is the perfect example of allowing your animators the freedom to express themselves and their creative genius and also giving the movie enough time to cook and develop in the background from VFX, etc. Instead of rushing a product.. BRILLIANT MOVIE and the details are just WOW! I must say when watching this and all the colours and styles flashing across the scene was kinda trippy lol
the writers of this movie are just absolute kings of subtle foreshadowing. they have moments that don’t feel significant but later show that they are, from the color choices to “what’s comicon” and so many more things
9:40 I think you are exaggerating a bit about this. It doesn't take the multiverse to know chai is tea. Even in real world there are people who doesnt know chai is tea. But i get your point. Miles just like other people, dont know everything about other culture. He's genius, but there are also other genius. Simple as that. My point is, even without relate to multiverse, the point still valid.
7:40 in Ganke's room we can see a son heung min (Famous football player from South Korea ) poster on the wall on the right hand side as he's the most famous korean player and also because Ganke is korean American too it makes sense it was a small detail and a tribute
Another cool detail is in the first movie, when Miles meets Spiderman of his universe before he dies, his spider sense aligns with that Peter's, and changes from green and purple (Prowler's colours), to blue and red (Spiderman's colours) representing his change in destiny from becoming prowler to becoming Spiderman, and the Miles of Earth 42's destiny changing vice versa. Another brilliant moment of foreshadowing in my opinion that makes these movies some of the best Spiderman movies of all time.
While Miles is following Gwen into Spot's place, he turns invisible and whenever he swings, his webs also turn invisible, whereas in the first movie while fighting with Liv, his webs were clearly visible even when he was invisible
i thought the atm machine/chai tea thing just showed how all the spider-people are meant to be the same person in their respective universes, just altered to fit their surroundings. basically, parallels
9:01 I love the attention to detail that goes into this animation I wonder how different braided hair miles would’ve been had he got bit I assume he wouldn’t be “evil”
Fun fact, The Canadian Lad, the newspaper prints in the Lego Universe mentioned at 8:20 are from an actual Lego Marvel Daily Bugle set that you used to be able purchase. Also, the entire Lego Spider-Verse scene was filmed and edited by this 14 year old UA-camr: @legome_theog
8:16 OH MY GOD. Thats an actual lego texture! I remember getting that piece in a set on Christmas when i was 6! I think it was in the old Hogwarts set. Core memory unlocked lol
Something to notice too is that when Miles is drawing up ideas for his costume for a split second you get to see his original costume i.e the ultimate Spider-Man costume that miles wears in the earth-1610 universe
A little detail I really love is that in the scenes where the spot doesn’t have any spots and is just a white mannequin, his construction lines are drawn on top of him for a little art style.
I think the “salvage” hidden detail is a reach at 7:53 When you salvage something you acknowledge that it’s in terrible shape and do what you can to fix it. I think Miles’ dad was just put off because he didn’t think it was to that point yet, not because salvage has a different meaning to the police (which I didn’t know before this video)
Dude, in that scene at 8:12, I just realized that Miles' mom snaps and makes the Puerto Rican flag!! That is a crazy detail that should be added instead lol.
Lego JJJ has his lines lifted directly from Toby’s Spider-Man films. Also “Hammerverse” is likely a callback to Spider-Ham’s hammer that he gave Miles at the end of the first film. Ham even said “It’ll fit in your pocket”.
These movies are crazy, literally nothing has this much detail, literally like a week before this movie came out i saw that the Japanese version of spiderverse has the anime spidergirl lip synced while the English does not, like the amount of details in both movies that a 5 year old movie is still hiding details and there is so many in this new movie is just mind blowing, gwen stacey and the cop is kind of simple but amazing, with the blue representing the cop and the red representing the father.
9:24 Uhhh no. It's not so much on showcasing the intelligence of others across the Spider verse but more so on a common mistake made by foreigners that Indians usually have to correct. It was a creative input by the voice actor Karan Soni when he was asked to add some cultural specifics to the script
this might be an interesting subtle detail or not, but during this scene 5:20 when miles absorbed spider-man 2099's powers, he stopped glitching in that universe, up until he was transported in a different earth which was earth-42
Theory: I think Hobie was going to try and take down the spider society at some point in time, cause if u listen to the conversation he has with miles he is trying to convince home not to join, he also hates teamwork and pretty much everything relating to the spider society
7:57 Apprehending and executing someone without trial is not a thing with police here in America. Apparently that's a Philippines thing, but definitely not here. He was just shocked because she says "salvage" like his grades need saving when he's doing relatively good.
One more detail I noticed, in the scene where Gwen opens a portal above him in his room he's wearing a Brooklyn basketball jersey with New York Knicks colors. Fun little detail
This movie is amazing! I wanted to add about the Renaissance Volture, he speaks several times in italian, i.e. when he drops his bombs he says "attenzione" which means "pay attention". There are so many magnificent details in this movie that I am definitely going to watch it again and again asap!
4:38 Since iam muslim i knew it from the first time i watched the movie so shoutout yo you for refrencing this and the man in the center of this shot is wearing a Galabia which is a muslim traditional cloth so he is propaply a muslim to but you may have missed it

For me the big clue was the comment on the hair. It was like a *spidertingle* moment... but i hadnt really figured it out. Juste that something was off.
On top of that, you can see sketchings of the Prowler's gauntlets in the background of Miles.

I also took it as his affection washing away her sadness even if only for a moment.
something I also noticed from the scenes in her bedroom was that the more intense the argument got, the for the paint started to drip or slide on the wall
These scenes have a really heavy kandiskij influence i suggest to search him is an abstract artist, and naturaly many of the color theory also come up with that artist.
Damn
The baby powder is also a reference to the first spiderverse where the first tips sad Peter Parker gives miles is to use baby powder, and the second tip is to use alot of baby powder especially around the joints.
Glad some people noticed how fast Miles was adapting throughout the movie, seemingly becoming one of his stronger characteristics
So he can improvise fast huh
He had a great mentor
@@AbhijeetMishra also, miles run slower compared to the first movie
@@AbhijeetMishra Outside of the times he used his venom blasts, that is the one moment I can see beeing plot armour, well and moments like his not waiting until 3 to draw etc
@@AbhijeetMishra it wasn’t u realistic. Their all Spider-Man and they all share a connection. If it was a totally different character say - ironman then the spidey society would have been more competent at catching him.
I love Miles' arc in this movie. It feels like a complete story for him but also incomplete. I don't know how the writers do that. This film is amazing on so many levels
Rio's speech was one of my favorite scenes 😮💨
It gave enough to feel like there was an entire plot that got wrapped up within the entire overarching unfinished plot, I know what you mean
I noticed these things in Gwen's universe
I DIDN'T NOTICE THIS.
DAMMMMN
Daamn that is so cool.
2:58 The color scheme of Gwen's watercolor world could be talked about so much more
Like when they talked at home in her room in one scene and he was depicted in warm and bright colors like orange yellow and red while she was in the shadows of her room depicted in shades of blue purple and violet, showing both that she's working and living in the shadows and also that she's upset and nervous and just overall in a bad place while her father is trying to do his best to see and be the light, and when she hugs him she goes from those depressing colors to the same warm colors as him as the world around them also changes color showing how much of a mix of emotions their life is right now but that together they can be happy and support each other
That scene got me. She knows that all spider-people's father, a captain, will die. Does it mean since he quit it won't happen or, she's just realizing this might be their last hug? ...it killed me seeing this scene.
That's the best part of the movie to me (visually/ storytelling speaking). Awesome and beautiful work there. Lovely.
@@jesseturner9865it means it won't happen, she's realized that Miguel was wrong in that scene
@@royolaniye6643 interesting, huh? So does that mean a canon event changed? I wonder how that will play out in part 2?
Fr the film was insane !
@@magortom literally and ironically he is 3 dimensional and dynamic
He's reminds me of Tobi or Obito from Naruto Shippuden.
spot didn’t really change per say, he did kind of change because his want to be taken seriously and respected, was taken to the extreme even more
another lil detail i loved: In the end when Miles meets his counterpart in universe 42 we can see how that version of himself has a strong accent as he grew up around his mother more after his dad died and eventually adopted her accent.
damnnnn thats really smart! cool detail
Probably that will be mentioned in part 3.
and because the counterpart wasnt spiderman, he didnt miss the spanish classes, like our miles did
So, there's this really cool attention to detail that the animators had in this movie.
Or maybe it's just becoz that he's Oscar Isaac
This is a very well-put explanation for giving context and understanding of the term
the lego jump was probably the craziest one of all tho
"hmmm doc ock exists must've been Toby McGuire's universe exactly but lego it's the only explanation"
That makes no sense, what oppression did Uncle Aaron face?

I didn't know about that, really interesting

@@cesarm9059 Well to be fair it is a superhero movie. Plus correct me if I'm wrong but that seems like a cultural thing meaning that someone who's not from that culture probably wouldn't know that. i'm a design student and i LOVED watching the scene with gwen and her father and reading the colors in real time. it really felt like being able to read the characters minds.

Fun fact, in the party scene when miles opens the cake boxes, he uses his spider stick or whatever u call it to open the boxes from the top instead of the front. Really cool hidden detail!
Hey, I know this guy!!!
I've read it's because Miguel is literally part-spider. That's why he has fangs.
@@groundedgaming but it’s explained in the movie he’s half vampire?
@@hooshoof714 not explained, It was Gwen asking him who he was, if I remember correctly.
@@hooshoof714 She just says it jokingly, but he's not really half vampire.

The details in Both Spider-Verse films are sick. The animators deserve all the praise. The animation is among the best I've ever seen.

Imagine a spider man prowler spider-prowler
That doesn't really change Miguel's point. It's that 1610 Miles specifically was not meant to be bit. Another Miles being the one meant to be bit doesn't change that.
7:37 when miles enters the room we can clearly see that a picture of Son heung ming a korean footballer. Showing that his roommate is also korean.
Hatts off to the editor 👏👏
One small visual detail I liked was how Spot's design has his character anatomy guideline still present like how you can see the circle for the skull, the lines that connect the limbs, the shape for his ribcage etc. etc.
I liked this detail too lol
Same went for Miguel
I noticed that too! So cool!
I was thinking about this while watching the movie. Love the deets!
Miguel also had the lines.
Fun Fact: When Miguel attempts to bite Vulture with his fangs, it was because according to the comics, he has paralyzing venom which he would've used to contain Vulture rather than knocking him out or tying him up.
But why didn't he bite him, is the real question.
@Zenitsu because he was interrupted by the helicopter pilots, who accused him of being a villain immediately after. Hard to gain trust while Morbin out on the villain.

An interesting detail that I'd like to mention is that when the spot starts to drag the ATM out of the shop, right before Miles reveals his presence, he rolls it on cans that he gently sets down on the floor. It's an amazing detail I noticed only on 3rd viewing that I feel like should be mentioned here
Here's a fun detail
When miles asked ganke to call the police after he webbed the spot ganke was complaining that he didn't want to be the guy in the chair but Ned was excited to be the guy in the chair for Peter without him even requesting proving how good a friend Ned is
What if the Ganke in Earth 42 would have been excited to be Miles' guy in the chair.
It just kills me that Ned was originally Miles's friend proving Gankes' are bad replacements for Neds. jk
I think it was done to differentiate the 2 movies seeing as the MCU borrowed a lot from Miles' material for their Spider-Man. The first time I heard the term "guy in a chair" was from "Spider-Man Homecoming".
The spider logo is actually drawn on a sticky note
This is a common trick traditional artists use when they want to try something out but don't want to fully alter the base drawing.
Im just commenting to help this get higher, because you r 100% correct
you're absolutely right

Fun fact: When Hobie told Miles to use his palms, not just his fingers, Miles actually uses his palms when he breaks out of the cage using his veno-shock, that's why Hobie smirks after he does it.
…yea they make that pretty clear. Hobie literally reminds him seconds before.
Dang, good catch
@@drewvenegas4046 pretty sure he will say that in part 3
I'm glad someone mentioned the mood colors in Gwen's universe, as they seem to use it a lot to portray the character's state of mind. I never noticed the duality for Gwen's father.
Another detail that I love is at 7:36 in Miles’s dorm, on the left side there is a poster of Son Heung-min, a famous Korean football player from the club Tottenham.
And the best part is spurs is tom's fav club and they had collabed for nwh promotion
@@anushajain8198 yesss I remember that!
this was a great easter egg as a football fan, though i like real madrid.
Another good detail about Ganke is that his voice by Peter Sohn.
What do we think of Tottenham? (If yk the chant)
Edit: They called Gwen's world a "mood ring" for this
Also that color blending is unique to watercolors, I think artists can expand on this better than me 💙
Must be a pretty weird world to live in. You can’t lie because colors change based on the mood.
Yea Gwen's world is like watercolor and mood color exaggerated. I'm not too sure though.
How about the corn cart at 4:32 being called “MotherShuckers” 😂😂😂
Definitely a curb your enthusiasm joke 👌🏾
Also, at the end of the renaissance vulture fight, someone in the art museum says in the background,
"... I think it's a Banksy."
which also happened in the first movie when pedestrians came across the glitched-out streetlight near the beginning.
Don't know if this is an already known detail, but it would've been known in the first movie that the spider that bite miles was from another dimension because it was glitching and all👀
How the hell did I miss that?
yes other channels pointed that out
Bruh that had my jaw dropping when I realized that. It just made so much sense
Gooood catch
i thought that was pretty obvious
The Canadian Lad is the true definition of " Mastering Your Craft" and he does this exceptionally well.
I love that it’s both this *and* incredibly accessible to newcomers like me. What a fantastic feat of storytelling and design
Another secret: when miles is trying to go to his universe and he enters universe-42 it was already odd because when he wears the jacket it’s purple and green and his moms eyes are purple and green too I hope you put these two and keep up the good work
5:53 whoa pauseeeeeeeee 😂😂😂
“-Spot turns the tables by having Miles INSIDE HIM” bro knew exactly what he was saying💀💀
5:56 Ayooooooo pause
6:52 it also feels like a reference to the first movie when peter parker is telling him to use baby powder in the joints of the suit
9:03 That footage of Mrs Chen was reused footage from Venom 2. That's why her reaction seemed rather off
Wait really? Well that explains a lot.
7:23 - miles drawing of uncle aaron is wearing a shirt with "3 pac" written on it rather than 2pac as in Tupac
If anything what that detail meant was that Spiderman India was analogous to Miles in a way because they corrected people in a similar fashion
7:10 ⏸
A little detail I noticed:
It appears that the people of Miles' universe actually him Spider-Man #2 since he is the successor to that universe's Spider-Man.
Its funny considering that as fans we always call Miles (Miles Morales Spider-Man) and (Gwen) Spider-Gwen.
Even though their in-universe names are just Spider-Man and Spider-Woman, respectively.
While the citizens of New York call him, Spider Man Number 2.
#2 was because he apologized for second time (Not so facinating but yes, you saw it so it's appriciated)
@@neetupathak4395where does it say for the second time?
Hobbs is fire
See that’s the thing though miles only escapes because of his powers not saying he can beat Peter even if he was mastered in it butttttt they will make adaptions bc of their experience
This movie is the perfect example of allowing your animators the freedom to express themselves and their creative genius and also giving the movie enough time to cook and develop in the background from VFX, etc. Instead of rushing a product.. BRILLIANT MOVIE and the details are just WOW! I must say when watching this and all the colours and styles flashing across the scene was kinda trippy lol
7:29 Rest In Power has more to do with Black American culture than it does with superpowers 😅
Yeah, this is commonly said in the African American community.
bro, i loved how pavitra was portrayed in this movie, they at least respected the character and didn't make a mockery of his origins
This was literally the best Animated Superhero movie I have ever watched... The colours, the story, the emotions and everything... THE BEST ♥
the writers of this movie are just absolute kings of subtle foreshadowing. they have moments that don’t feel significant but later show that they are, from the color choices to “what’s comicon” and so many more things
My point is, even without relate to multiverse, the point still valid.
bro has unspoken rizz 😂
7:40 in Ganke's room we can see a son heung min (Famous football player from South Korea ) poster on the wall on the right hand side as he's the most famous korean player and also because Ganke is korean American too it makes sense it was a small detail and a tribute
Mumbattan was fun, and i like how they depicted all the details in the movie about Mumbai. Much love from India "Lad", keep up the good work
Another cool detail is in the first movie, when Miles meets Spiderman of his universe before he dies, his spider sense aligns with that Peter's, and changes from green and purple (Prowler's colours), to blue and red (Spiderman's colours) representing his change in destiny from becoming prowler to becoming Spiderman, and the Miles of Earth 42's destiny changing vice versa. Another brilliant moment of foreshadowing in my opinion that makes these movies some of the best Spiderman movies of all time.
commenting because that is a fire detail
While Miles is following Gwen into Spot's place, he turns invisible and whenever he swings, his webs also turn invisible, whereas in the first movie while fighting with Liv, his webs were clearly visible even when he was invisible
I believe his webs were still visible
i thought the atm machine/chai tea thing just showed how all the spider-people are meant to be the same person in their respective universes, just altered to fit their surroundings.
basically, parallels
There was so much going on in the movie I was hoping for a breakdown like this, good work and can't wait for your next drop!

I think the “salvage” hidden detail is a reach at 7:53
When you salvage something you acknowledge that it’s in terrible shape and do what you can to fix it. I think Miles’ dad was just put off because he didn’t think it was to that point yet, not because salvage has a different meaning to the police (which I didn’t know before this video)
Dude, in that scene at 8:12, I just realized that Miles' mom snaps and makes the Puerto Rican flag!! That is a crazy detail that should be added instead lol.
fun fact: "salvage" means "salvage" in police terms too.
it dosent mean "i dont like this guy, cap him" like the speaker says.
Lego JJJ has his lines lifted directly from Toby’s Spider-Man films.
Also “Hammerverse” is likely a callback to Spider-Ham’s hammer that he gave Miles at the end of the first film. Ham even said “It’ll fit in your pocket”.
6:27 the first suit design is taken directly from the PlayStation game “Marvels Spider Man: Miles Morales” which I thought was cool

this might be an interesting subtle detail or not, but during this scene 5:20 when miles absorbed spider-man 2099's powers, he stopped glitching in that universe, up until he was transported in a different earth which was earth-42
Theory: I think Hobie was going to try and take down the spider society at some point in time, cause if u listen to the conversation he has with miles he is trying to convince home not to join, he also hates teamwork and pretty much everything relating to the spider society

Maybe that spiderman logo at 6:40 that Miles liked, was from the new spiderman 2 game? Miles must have been watching his roomate play.
There are so many magnificent details in this movie that I am definitely going to watch it again and again asap!
also love the part where animators played with gwen's universe with colours related to emotions it was best animated movie of all time❤❤❤❤.
