In some ways, the recent release of the face-lifted Produa Myvi which probably shares the same powertrain as the feature car in this segment may have undermined the understated competence of the Toyota stablemate. P2 has thrown in almost everything bar the kitchen sink into their revised hatch and it maybe difficult for Toyota to do something similar aside from riding off it's brand and how well the Yaris seems to be able to isolate the driver and passengers within in relative comfort.
@@dx5784 Yup, the only thing that can determine the competition is consumer preference now. People who don't have the budget for the Yaris can go for the Myvi and still not miss out on the critical features.

The interior looks minimalist from the video, but it's actually quite nice to look at when you get inside. It might not match performance compared to some other cars, but I've had fun playing with the the Sequential Shiftmatic Sport mode. Mine is the 2019 model but the current version is a much safer, more refined car.
When some people mentioned vios/yaris is underpowered, i wonder what car they drives before. The power combines with Power mode n paddle shifter is more than an average joe driving skill needs.
A reliable car? My Honda City is reaching 17 years and I am thinking of a trade in. Would Yaris be a good model to checkout? New facelift Altis is nice but expensive.
I had driven both cars and I would say both rides comfortably, with Altis giving you better confidence when going fast around the corner. That doesn't mean that Yaris handle poorly, it handles very predictable and tidy. However, the NVH of a Yaris is on par if not better than Altis tho, that's weird.
is the gas pedal and brake pedal having a rather big gap on this facelifted Yaris? I driven the Vios 4AT just before they update to the dual vvti and cvt combination, at traffic jam I found it to be very tiring on my foot due to the brake pedal is placed very tall as compared to the much lower lever on the gas pedal. This is the same for the Vento as well.

The only reason to buy, Toyota Safety Sense available on E grade which is cheaper than Honda's highest V grade after the RS Hybrid. Other than that, Honda City still better than this, minus the awkward City Hatch.
Yaris ni ialah facelift. Tapi, interior lebih cantik termasuk ada banyak features seperti ADAS, BSM, RCTA, 360 camera, LED Headlamps, Apple Car Play dan Android Auto dan lain-lain berbanding Yaris ikan keli
