CLEANING DIRTY STAINED CARPET - CHALLENGER OP & ORECK ORBITER

- I am using both the Challenger OP low moisture carpet cleaning machine and the Oreck Orbiter to clean carpet in an office at a commercial building. I use microfiber pads ( bonnets ) for this cleaning along with Purely Green 25 as my prespray. The sprayer I'm using is the Ryobi One+ 18 volt 1 gallon sprayer.

It was! I always kind of dread these larger jobs since I work by myself but this one ended up not taking too long, especially since I wasn't having to deal with hoses everywhere and dumping the waste tank multiple times.
Trinity makes a similar residue free bio plant-based cleaner called TLC X2. Extremely powerful at 2 oz a gallon as well. I just got it in the mail yet to try it though.
I didn't know they had anything like that. Let me know how it works after you get a chance to use it.
Interesting. I only have an oreck and small extractor but have been trying to figure out my next machine to handle larger commercial projects like this. Do you ever use fiber pads to prescrub? I find I oftern have to with the Oreck because of its lighter head weight.
Even though the Challenger is the *least* popular machine in the industry 🤣, it's reliable and I love the maneuverability of it over wheels down machines. Of course it's not quite as nimble as the Oreck but the extra weight of the Challenger makes prescrubbing not necessary most of the time in my opinion and I've cleaned some pretty nasty carpet over the years.. I only use microfiber with scrub strips on both the Challenger and the Oreck for times when prescrubbing is necessary, I've never used any fiber pads.

What's your oz/gallon of PG25 for VLM and HW extraction? Thanks
I just started using 2oz per gallon to make things simple. At that rate it's plenty strong enough for most anything I've run in to.
