Your film is the most genuine with the best story and the least BS. No BCF logos on shirts, no cleavage shots, no milking indigenous themes or Aussie cliches. Actually an incredible film too! Those lure casting camera shots were insane! I've browsed the other films and I'm very confident that regardless of if you win or not, yours is the best film. Considering all these years I've been watching, and you're never pushing sponsorships or merch a little support from us is the least you can ask for. Agreed I think I watched all of them. Most just seemed like UA-cam videos, but Rods was an actual film.

Watched all ten films and even more from last years winners. It wasn’t a big ask to pay $4.99 to support all the great experiences that you create and share. Objectively the best story, innovative camera work and excellent graphic visual content. Hope all goes well Rod. Oh and the treble hook solo operation really did bring tears to my eyes!! Rod is one the main reasons I moved to Australia last year. I've been watching his videos for years and fell in love with the beautiful Australian coasts and waterways. As a Media Studies teacher, I can safely say Rod's video is definitely the best in show. Great narrative thread, awesome shot compositions, stellar music (as always) - You really came to this competition swinging! I've never shelled out for a UA-camr before - but $5 dollars is nothing compared to what you've given us. Keep living the dream Rod, thanks for all the fishes!

Watched all the videos and voted. My two boys and I watch your videos together they are 6 and 8 and we are creating lots of memories fishing together. My dad has never been into fishing but paddled me around the lake as a kid because it mattered to me. The lessons we take from our dads. I hope some day my boys think back on all those moments with fondness.

Rod has been providing tons of content for me to enjoy over the years. The least I can do is spend a couple dollars and vote on his video. I will say, it was well worth it, and as others have mentioned there is No BS in his videos trying to get votes (those who have watched the other videos know what I mean). Rod definitely has the best and most authentic story out of the bunch
His story is more heartfelt and genuine than the others. Also, like his previous videos, much more relaxing to watch. I really hope he does well in this competition, and a win would be outstanding for him!

I got on and watched the film today, it's nothing short of incredible. Amazing storytelling and top-notch cinematography. Signing up to watch was super easy, if you love this channel half as much as I do, DO IT!!! (Full disclosure, I couldn't watch all 10 films, but I did watch a few others and they truly did not compare. At least from what I have seen, Rod TRULY deserves the win. Let's help him get there!)

Just watched your film and yes you should be very proud of what you put up. Not only did you take up the challenge but you made it more of a challenge by making your own lures and filming it on your own. So good that you told your story of where it all started. My vote is in Rod! I enjoyed the video, although it makes me realize how you spoil us every week, year after year, with high quality videos that always entertain the senses. Making your own lures adds something special, I started tying my own trout flies about 40 years ago and it's just more fun catching fish on something you made than something you bought. Hope your finger is better now, and I really hope you win!

TFI vid was class mate. Don't think I've ever seen you catch that many fish. I've always said those pretty lures in the tackle shop entice the angler more than the fish.

Rod, I loved the video. I loved the sentimental aspects that ran throughout the video. It was touching and different than what I expected. I have only one complaint, seriously no heads up? I am an RN who spent more than half of my career in the Emergency Dept. I had to turn my head. No spoilers, but there is a big unexpected twist in the film. Been watching your content since lockdown 2020 while stuck in NS Canada missing home and the ocean, camping, spearing and fishing. You are the first UA-camr I watched and been watching your content since. Used to get me sooo keen and when I eventually got home, was straight out on the water.

Firstly, Incredible work and you are an absolute unit for the "hook situation" if you know you know ! The film is really good and I really like what you did with the fishing lures (a video with more detail on how you made them could be cool). I never comment, but you've been taking us on a journey through your videos for a long time so I said to myself that I owe you that. I hadn't fished in 20~ years, but stumbled on one of your videos during lockdown and have slowly watched through all your videos since. We've now picked up our own fishing kayaks and have shared heaps of great memories with the family out on the water - all thanks to you mate.

That film was amazing! I was a big game hunting guide in Canada for a number of years and i have to say that you really captured the essence of the joy that comes from the outdoors! Too many people think the joy comes from success but my Dad always taught that the real joy comes from the adventure, Thank you for making such a wonderful film that captures the joy of the outdoors for what it is, the little things like junk lures.
