as much as i love black beards conviction i really hope Im-sama is the best villain since he should be the main villain inmo due to him literally ruling the world of one piece and i hope oda expands in his backstory a lot and how he got to the point where he is now. Black beard is the man who wants to destroy the world with obtaining the one piece which is quite scary. However im-sama is the mastermind who already controlled the world for centuries, erased the past AND kept his identity of him and the one piece a secret in a world of devil fruits.. that is truly terrifying to me.
i really wonder what ability this monster has when so many characters already have devil fruits that are over powered and he doesn’t seem to care much of them having it.. he is that confident with either his power or the power system he created. Does he have an insane devil fruit? Haki so advanced it’s un-comparable? ancient weapons of his own?
@@shanemartin6854 Every frame even after he ate DF's where he had a physical altercation he was put in his place. He is also accepts more damage from a DF ability to be able to use it. With Gum I believe he would be like a young Luffy and not be able to hold it together. Luffy knows his own weaknesses and over and then and is also a brawler. BB is not a brawler.

I'm always amazed how far Moria got. He was actually pretty strong, nipped in the bud in his rookie time. And I'm amazed how much he cared about his members.
He was considered weak even among the warlords. A few of the warlords were really carrying the entire title on their shoulders, Mihawk, Dofy, and Handcock if you stretch it. If Moria was weak compared to Alabasta era Crocodile then that really puts him in a strange spot.
Blackbeard is Luffy's main Foil. Luffy SPECIFICALLY wants the Freedom of the PK, and not the power. Blackbeard abandoned that freedom for most of his life in order to get power. Blackbeard wants the THRONE of Maryjoise. Being able to teleport into MJ with crew that can convincingly take the places of the most powerful people in the World Government is a pretty solid step towards that goal. Not bad.

This disciple started the cult of Joyboy that Rocks and Blackbeard follow. Other Joyboy disciples created their own Joyboy cults which got passed down through the Fishmen, Kozuki, etc. The error of the Rocks cult is that their goal is to amass power by any means necessary to achieve their righteous "dream."

A bit late but i think a likely climax/fight with Blackbeard would be something that mirrors rocks and Gol D. Rogers fight which would mean we need a prominent marine soldier and the only one that works for me would be coby. Plus it would be cool to see luffy and coby working together because I’m assuming coby will be pretty strong by the time we see him in action again

If you're right: Aokiji, the only "marine" remotly close to Luffy strength and that would team up with him, also he apparently is with Teach, so when hit the fan he would be close. Coby would be cool, but it wouldn't look like Garp and Roger.

Nah I'm convinced he ate a DF when he was a kid that gives him squid abilities. Squids don't sleep, and they have three hearts and eight tenticals. Look at his jolly roger, three skulls and eight bones. If this theory were the case it would explain why he has the other two devil fruits, due to his other two hearts.
I’ve been telling people Blackbeard will be the greatest one piece villain, oda has been setting him up the longest and him and luffy have the most connections. He is the only one that is similar and different to luffy, he is also what a true pirate would be in real life. I like the whole concept that Blackbeard never have dreams because he can never sleep and luffy is full of dreams and freedom, which is why Blackbeard has the darkness fruit, also it’s weird luffy can’t eat more than one devil fruits, it says the user will explode but luffy body isn’t normal… I know he won’t eat 2 df but I wish oda would explain that maybe he could’ve if he wanted too, and it’s weird logias can’t eat 2 df because aren’t that made of there substances? I think Blackbeard is allowed to eat 2 dfs because he has mutiple souls in him, so it makes sense why he can eat mutiple

Blackbeard will complete his Jolly Roger when he gets the last fruit. I think the idea for Marshall D. Teach background was that his mentor was Shiki, he taught BlackBeard how to use the skills of that Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit. The current user Kurozumi Orochi only has the fruit, and uses it exclusively to survive, when the Teach has the skills of this fruit, we'll see it being used in combat. We will see, when Blackbeard attacks Wano, that he has the Orochi fruit information, it will actually be the second connection we have in the series between Blackbeard and Shiki, Teach had the information beforehand of the existence of Level 6 of Impel Down, and of the extremely strong Pirates that were supposed to be hidden from the World. The idea of Shiki being the mentor of Marshall D. Teach was planned since the Arc of Impel Down, Blackbeard's plan (after catching the fruit of darkness) was to be able to heist Impel Down and recruit pirates AT LEVEL 6, BlackBeard only got a Shichibukai position (this position by itself is a great feat) to have "access" to Impel Down level 6, and it was revealed that Shiki was the only fugitive from level 6 in history. BlackBeard went straight to level 6 and that level is secret, no one outside the navy knows about it, and Blackbeard's knew, because he was trained by the only pirate in history who escaped from there, Shiki. Because of the movie with Shiki, I don't know if they'll keep this backgroud, but the black beard was certainly trained by someone close to Shiki, and he came to meet him, and receive information from level 6, which has many famous and strong pirates. Blackbeard has two reasons to attack Wano, Devil Fruit and Robin. The government, Big Mom and other pirates have an interest in Nico Robin, because nobody else can read the Ponyglyphs, not even the world government, if it was the case that WG knew how to translate but wanted to keep the secret, they would kill Robin instead of trying to capture her again. Marshall D. Teach will try to "recruit" (Kidnap) Robin. I can't imagine any other way for Blackbeard to get the One Piece. The bets are that Blackbeard will attack Wano, will take the last Devil Fruit (Zoan type) and will try to get ROBIN, that's what Blackbeard meant when he said he wasn't going to let the navy have it all, he went to Wano.

I think Blackbeard is gonna attack after the final Wano battle. He's the type of person to take advantage of the conflict to finish off Big Mom and Kaido in one go. He's waiting for everyone to be weakened, and I'm afraid CP-0 might help him to kill off the 2 crews.
I believe blackbeard is after something, DF or a weapon and shanks is making his move to intercept him. Most likely this will happen near the end of the wano arc but if not it means blackbeard could intervene with something during the arc. Other than that shanks and blackbeard might trigger the final war, as in shanks or someone special dying or blackbeard taking something even more powerful than expected

It makes an interesting story, Blackbeard shows up at wano the last second, makes kaido and big mom look into his heart and will and see he is the reincarnation of zebek which makes them join Blackbeard into making the greatest war in the one piece story just as zebeck wished.
I enjoy the idea of Blackbeard already having a mythical zoan fruit - Cerberus. Maybe somehow gives him the ability to gain two other devil fruits. Also sort of lends itself to Blackbeard being more of a pet or servant to a larger evil, hades (Imu?)

I think Blackbeards fruit is "Special" because it allows him to have more then one fruit. It is said by *I think* Jabara that if you eat a second devil fruit the user will be torn/blown in to pieces. Well what if the reason Blackbeard doesn't die is because he uses his fruit to keep himself together with gravity and how he is able to pull things to him. Luffy could be similar in a way, because he is made of rubber he will just stretch and not fly apart. Another more bonkers theory is that their fruits are "God Fruits" and NOT "Devil fruits". thus they are not breaking the rules if they eat two fruits.
Blackbeards Yami no mi absorbs DF powers for a short time but if he clouds himself in full darkness he can unlock the true power to absorb other DFs permanently. A blackhole absorbs everything including light but since its daytime most of the time, Blackbeard is almost always nerfd.

Maybe Blackbeard's awakening will create an environment where anyone entering will automatically lose his DF powers and will fight as a normal man. If yami yami no mi was xebec's fruit then its quite obvious that only garp and roger were able to defeat him as they didn't have DF in the first place and where expert haki users.

Actually if you think about it, Dragon doesn't look like Garp, but luffy looks like his father which leads to Rocks D Luffy. The theory says that Garp is raising Xebec son's Dragon.
well garp and luffy act exactly the same so it wouldn't make sense if luffy and garp weren't related. Rocks.D.Dragon does make some sense, but the only way it would work is if Dragon had a kid with Garp's Daughter (Luffy's mom).

Particles do not escape from the black hole. What you heard about is most likely Hawking radiation. Virtual pairs of particles spawn so close to the black hole's event horizon so that one of them go into black hole but not the other one. These remaining particles are Hawking radiation.
I've been thinking about Xebec and Blackbeard. Maybe Bb did inherite his spirit and is now taking the strongest parts of the ROX Pirates for himself. Starting with Whitebeard, he took his ability and more, now he's attacking Big Moms Island, next he's going to take something from Kaido. Then his preperations might be finished for him to move towards Monkey D Dragon and start a war or something. What is weird for me is that he isn't really opposing Luffy. He never has any intention to hunt him down until the right moment, since Luffy is weakening the enemys of Bb. And as for if both will attack the goverment together, I think that will never happen, because one is representing darkness and the other one the sun. But maybe after the goverment has fallen, it takes both of them to open the path to Raftel and the One Piece.

I think black beard ate a mythical zoan for sure I heard theories of Cerberus (because of the 3 head jolly Rodger) and the kraken (because the kraken is a giant octopus and octopus have 3 hearts, one for each fruit). I’m leaning more towards the Cerberus simply because of shanks scar he received from white beard, 3 slash’s, almost as if a paw swipe from a dog like creature. Idea 1. Blackbeard destroying the red line/marijois with his devil fruits Idea 2. Luffy destroying the red line/marijois/freeing fishman island Both of these make sense in the story so what if they both happen? What if we don't end up with a major fight of light v dark, but the two work together to accomplish a goal and in the process we learn blackbeards back story and start to see that his goals are not so different from the straw hats but is maybe going about it in a misguided way (like big mom). Several times now we have seen luffy enter highly questionable alliances that his crew believes are a bad idea but things work out anyway. Could you imagine the straw hat's reactions if luffy and blackbeard go to fight and end up allying instead? Perhaps this is why Luffy is capable of being joyboy over someone like Roger. Roger was willing to stand side by side with the marines to fight Xebec, an "evil" pirate, but we don't yet really know what Xebecs ultimate motivations were. What if Roger had fought alongside Xebec instead? Luffy doesn't really have the normal sense of right and wrong that others do, his morality is very personal. He would 100% be willing to team up with blackbeard if, for example, it meant saving the inhabitants of fishman island. And maybe this is what Rayleigh meant by "you may come to a different conclusion" Edit to add: or maybe that is why the Roger pirates laughed on laughtale- after reading the history they realized they had been fighting on the wrong side but now that Xebec was taken out, the world would have to wait for the next generation of pirates.
Something about bb taking wb fruit is fishy. I think the bb fruit was able to absorb the other fruit because there was no light affecting its power, as why they covered wb and bb was under it away from the light. Hence why he’s always dodging the sun/light
I think we should be careful about betrayers in One Piece. Who will betray Blackbeard and who did betray Rocks or who did betray the God Valley location to Rocks? About Blackbeard I think besides Aokiji, it will be Burgess who does the biggest damage to the Blackbeard pirates. It just makes sense that Jesus would be some kind of a saviour (intentional or not like Usopp). Even Burgess has concealment powers if you remember him hiding on Sabo's ship, but if he got the Mera Mera no mi, it would not be great for Blackbeard because fire does not benefit darkness. I think Burgess going after fire is a foreshadow that the Blackbeard pirates will eventually turn their backs on him like the apostoles left Jesus on the cross.
Some may not like it, but Zebecs may have been the lurking legend introduced, he's just lurking somewhere we didn't expect, within Blackbeard. We have not seen the limits of what conquerors and devil's fruits can do, not to mention if and what devil fruit Zebecks had. Timeline wise it may work out that the revive revive fruit is valuable to someone afraid of death, "Death is the end."
I wonder if Xebec was actually a devil with how ruthless he was, and when he was defeated his soul was trapped in the closest fruit, making a devil fruit. Then later BlackBeard found and ate it so part of his soul is in BlackBeard and guiding him.

Being able to teleport into MJ with crew that can convincingly take the places of the most powerful people in the World Government is a pretty solid step towards that goal.

I’ve been telling people Blackbeard will be the greatest one piece villain, oda has been setting him up the longest and him and luffy have the most connections. He is the only one that is similar and different to luffy, he is also what a true pirate would be in real life. Blackbeard Theories: An Explanation for the 3 Skulls and 4 Crossbones
In short, the three skulls represent the 3 people who constitute Marshal D. Teach. The 8 crossbones tips are Oda's foreshadowing for Blackbeard's Next Devil Fruit: Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi. Each tip indicates the head of the Orochi. He will "complete" his flag when he gets the last Devil Fruit.
Chapter 225 or Episode 147, after Blackbeard's speech, Nami ask "Who is He (Teach)"? Luffy tells Nami, that "It's not him", and Zoro complements "It's them". This is an indication that Marshal D. Teach is more than one person in the same body, this explains why he never sleeps (ch 966, ep 966), and also why Ace told him that he lived more than one person (ch 440, ep 325). Marshall D. Teach is 3 people combined and the 3 Skulls in his Jolly Roger is an indication of that. I think a combination of akumas no mi users, "joined" three people and created Marshall D. Teach. There is already in One Piece some akuma no mi that can "joined" people, like Ope Ope no Mi, Gocha Gocha no Mi, Baku Baku no Mi (or it may have been a new type of fruit that "joined" these people together).
My bets are that a more experienced user, who managed to put Baku Baku no Mi to a different use, was involved in his creation. Blackbeard is mentioned for the first time in Chapter 132 or Episode 79 Dalton (current Drum’s Leader) says that Blackbeard's crew attacked the Island and the former King, Wapol, fled. Blackbeard attacked Drum to get the power of the Baku Baku no Mi, he wanted to get the power of Wapol. He attacked the Kingdom of Drum when he was getting used to the powers of the Yami Yami no Mi, he already knew he could “split up”, but he wasn't sure if he would be able to "gather together" again. While he was still inexperienced with using his Devil Fruit no Mi, he wanted to have a guarantee and would give the Wapol's power to one of his own crew so he could " gather " again.
To choose the first fruit to eat, Marshall D. Teach had to think of fruit that would "set apart" the people who compose himself. To make sure he avoid the fatal consequence of get the power of a second Devil Fruit. Blackbeard discovered that he could separate with the use of the Yami Yami no mi (denying the power of the Akumas no Mi apply on him), this is why he had to wait all those years for Yami Yami no Mi, he has no alternative but to eat this akuma no mi first. Eating a second Devil Fruit is fatal, regardless of whether the body is considered "strange". If it were a matter of body resistance, for sure, Big Mom, Kaido and Whitebeard could handle eating a second fruit.
Chapter 577 or Episode 486 In Marinford Marshall D. Teach managed to separate himself temporarily from other people and got the second fruit power, the WhiteBeard Akuma no Mi (that's why he covered Newgate's body, to hide him separating). The "body" that obtained Whitebeard's Devil Fruit was separate, without the power of the Yami Yami no Mi, and then he won't suffer the consequences of having a second power from a second Devil Fruit.
I think this transformation of body parts has a mechanism similar to the Mane Mane no Mi. Marshall D. Teach can only swap body parts with the other two people who are parts of him. In chapter 187 or Episode 115: Bon Clay makes a montage with parts of the face, taking Ussop's Nose and the rest of his own face. I think the the mechanism is similar for Blackbeard, there are 3 people and they swap parts. This give a margin to explain his teeth changing all the time. He can combine the 3 sets of teeth (bottom) with the 3 sets of teeth (top) in different ways. Like BlackBeard did in Chapter 577 or Episode 486 with the combining powers of the Gura Gura no Mi, in one hand, and the powers of the Yami Yami no Mi, in the other hand, at the Arch of Marineford.
That would explain the 3 skulls on Blackbeard's crew flag, but another detail of his Jolly Roger is having 4 crossbones, and that is a Oda’s foreshadowing for Blackbeard's Next Devil Fruit: Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi. Each tip indicates a head of the Orochi.
Chapter 965 or Episode 965, Kurozumi Higurashi, the former user of Mane Mane no Mi, says she left the island of Wano (was chased) and that she came into contact with several people, and end up getting the Devil Fruit Orochi. While demonstrating the powers of her own Devil Fruit she transforms into SHIKI. Either she stole the fruit or Shiki gave the fruit to her, but either way Shiki has information that Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi is in Wano. Blackbeard will complete his Jolly Roger when he gets the last fruit.
I think the idea for Marshall D. Teach background was that his mentor was Shiki, he taught BlackBeard how to use the skills of that Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit. The current user Kurozumi Orochi only has the fruit, and uses it exclusively to survive, when the Teach has the skills of this fruit, we'll see it being used in combat. We will see, when Blackbeard attacks Wano, that he has the Orochi fruit information, it will actually be the second connection we have in the series between Blackbeard and Shiki, Teach had the information beforehand of the existence of Level 6 of Impel Down, and of the extremely strong Pirates that were supposed to be hidden from the World.
The idea of Shiki being the mentor of Marshall D. Teach was planned since the Arc of Impel Down, Blackbeard's plan (after catching the fruit of darkness) was to be able to heist Impel Down and recruit pirates AT LEVEL 6, BlackBeard only got a Shichibukai position (this position by itself is a great feat) to have "access" to Impel Down level 6, and it was revealed that Shiki was the only fugitive from level 6 in history. BlackBeard went straight to level 6 and that level is secret, no one outside the navy knows about it, and Blackbeard's knew, because he was trained by the only pirate in history who escaped from there, Shiki. Because of the movie with Shiki, I don't know if they'll keep this backgroud, but the black beard was certainly trained by someone close to Shiki, and he came to meet him, and receive information from level 6, which has many famous and strong pirates.
Blackbeard has two reasons to attack Wano, Devil Fruit and Robin. The government, Big Mom and other pirates have an interest in Nico Robin, because nobody else can read the Ponyglyphs, not even the world government, if it was the case that WG knew how to translate but wanted to keep the secret, they would kill Robin instead of trying to capture her again. Marshall D. Teach will try to "recruit" (Kidnap) Robin. I can't imagine any other way for Blackbeard to get the One Piece. The bets are that Blackbeard will attack Wano, will take the last Devil Fruit (Zoan type) and will try to get ROBIN, that's what Blackbeard meant when he said he wasn't going to let the navy have it all, he went to Wano.
A lot of speculations, one thing that is weird is you mentioning Shiki. Shiki was held in the 6th level of impel down, that is true. But you dont think being on WBs crew for years couldve granted him that information?

It's almost as if he were to tell Rayleigh, "I'm going to live on through someone else." Definitely think Luffy is the reincarnation of Joy Boy and that he's the man that Roger is waiting for. Also, also, doesn't it bother anyone else that we don't know Shanks' full name. Is he a D? Is he Xebec's son? Did Roger take him in his crew out of guilt for what happened at God's Valley? It makes an interesting story, Blackbeard shows up at wano the last second, makes kaido and big mom look into his heart and will and see he is the reincarnation of zebek which makes them join Blackbeard into making the greatest war in the one piece story just as zebeck wished.
I enjoy the idea of Blackbeard already having a mythical zoan fruit - Cerberus. Maybe somehow gives him the ability to gain two other devil fruits. Also sort of lends itself to Blackbeard being more of a pet or servant to a larger evil, hades (Imu?)

I think Blackbeards fruit is "Special" because it allows him to have more then one fruit. It is said by *I think* Jabara that if you eat a second devil fruit the user will be torn/blown in to pieces. Well what if the reason Blackbeard doesn't die is because he uses his fruit to keep himself together with gravity and how he is able to pull things to him. Luffy could be similar in a way, because he is made of rubber he will just stretch and not fly apart. Another more bonkers theory is that their fruits are "God Fruits" and NOT "Devil fruits". thus they are not breaking the rules if they eat two fruits.

Blackbeards Yami no mi absorbs DF powers for a short time but if he clouds himself in full darkness he can unlock the true power to absorb other DFs permanently. A blackhole absorbs everything including light but since its daytime most of the time, Blackbeard is almost always nerfd.

@@Vinlan.D If you have watched the movie mummy returns, in that god Anubis takes away Imhotep's powers coz he wants him to fight as a mortal. Maybe Blackbeard's awakening will create an environment where anyone entering will automatically lose his DF powers and will fight as a normal man. If yami yami no mi was xebec's fruit then its quite obvious that only garp and roger were able to defeat him as they didn't have DF in the first place and where expert haki users.

Tell me what you think of this theory i made about BB, i think he has 3 stomachs like a cow and that's how he can have 2 different devil fruits so far and he'll get a final Zoan fruit to finish it off because since he has 3 different stomachs the fruits wont interact with each other because each one is in its own containment technically.

There is a Theory floating around that the will of Xebec is inheretied to his real son. Rocks D Dragon. Actually if you think about it, Dragon doesn't look like Garp, but luffy looks like his father which leads to Rocks D Luffy.

well garp and luffy act exactly the same so it wouldn't make sense if luffy and garp weren't related. Rocks.D.Dragon does make some sense, but the only way it would work is if Dragon had a kid with Garp's Daughter (Luffy's mom).

Particles do not escape from the black hole. What you heard about is most likely Hawking radiation. Virtual pairs of particles spawn so close to the black hole's event horizon so that one of them go into black hole but not the other one. These remaining particles are Hawking radiation.

I've been thinking about Xebec and Blackbeard. Maybe Bb did inherite his spirit and is now taking the strongest parts of the ROX Pirates for himself. Starting with Whitebeard, he took his ability and more, now he's attacking Big Moms Island, next he's going to take something from Kaido. Then his preperations might be finished for him to move towards Monkey D Dragon and start a war or something. What is weird for me is that he isn't really opposing Luffy. He never has any intention to hunt him down until the right moment, since Luffy is weakening the enemys of Bb. And as for if both will attack the goverment together, I think that will never happen, because one is representing darkness and the other one the sun. But maybe after the goverment has fallen, it takes both of them to open the path to Raftel and the One Piece.

I think black beard ate a mythical zoan for sure I heard theories of Cerberus (because of the 3 head jolly Rodger) and the kraken (because the kraken is a giant octopus and octopus have 3 hearts, one for each fruit). I’m leaning more towards the Cerberus simply because of shanks scar he received from white beard, 3 slash’s, almost as if a paw swipe from a dog like creature. My only thing with that tho is he received that scar back in the Rodger days, hard to believe black beard wouldn’t use his zoan fruit during marinford unless he was confident that he didn’t need it.. either way I’m hyped to see how Goda does it.

Idea 1. Blackbeard destroying the red line/marijois with his devil fruits
Idea 2. Luffy destroying the red line/marijois/freeing fishman island
Both of these make sense in the story so what if they both happen? What if we don't end up with a major fight of light v dark, but the two work together to accomplish a goal and in the process we learn blackbeards back story and start to see that his goals are not so different from the straw hats but is maybe going about it in a misguided way (like big mom). Several times now we have seen luffy enter highly questionable alliances that his crew believes are a bad idea but things work out anyway. Could you imagine the straw hat's reactions if luffy and blackbeard go to fight and end up allying instead?
Perhaps this is why Luffy is capable of being joyboy over someone like Roger. Roger was willing to stand side by side with the marines to fight Xebec, an "evil" pirate, but we don't yet really know what Xebecs ultimate motivations were. What if Roger had fought alongside Xebec instead? Luffy doesn't really have the normal sense of right and wrong that others do, his morality is very personal. He would 100% be willing to team up with blackbeard if, for example, it meant saving the inhabitants of fishman island. And maybe this is what Rayleigh meant by "you may come to a different conclusion"
Edit to add: or maybe that is why the Roger pirates laughed on laughtale- after reading the history they realized they had been fighting on the wrong side but now that Xebec was taken out, the world would have to wait for the next generation of pirates.

About Blackbeard I think besides Aokiji, it will be Burgess who does the biggest damage to the Blackbeard pirates. It just makes sense that Jesus would be some kind of a saviour (intentional or not like Usopp). Even Burgess has concealment powers if you remember him hiding on Sabo's ship, but if he got the Mera Mera no mi, it would not be great for Blackbeard because fire does not benefit darkness. I think Burgess going after fire is a foreshadow that the Blackbeard pirates will eventually turn their backs on him like the apostoles left Jesus on the cross.
Some may not like it, but Zebecs may have been the lurking legend introduced, he's just lurking somewhere we didn't expect, within Blackbeard. We have not seen the limits of what conquerors and devil's fruits can do, not to mention if and what devil fruit Zebecks had. Timeline wise it may work out that the revive revive fruit is valuable to someone afraid of death, "Death is the end."

I wonder if Xebec was actually a devil with how ruthless he was, and when he was defeated his soul was trapped in the closest fruit, making a devil fruit. Then later BlackBeard found and ate it so part of his soul is in BlackBeard and guiding him.
Probably the Yami Yami no mi cause it wasn't even mentioned on the devil fruit book but when rocks died he may be went to a normal df and made in dark themed bc how much evil intentions he has
