Great tutorial! I watched all of KWI’s videos and then I found yours. You answered all of my questions that I had after watching the KWI vids! You did throw me a curve when you installed a spring and slider? During the secondary install. After thinking about it, I finally figured out that you had a full floating secondary... I wish I had known that you were selling the KWI kits before I bought mine, I would have liked to help support you. Keep up the good work, I really get a kick out of watching you and Dozer.
After watching your video I’m going to order a kit for my x3 xrs and probably do the same kit you did. We ride pretty much the same lol. Just full throttle. You guys need to come to South Dakota and ride the Black Hills trails with my friends and I.
Hey men good video and explanation, I have a doubt About the governor cup and the three sliders that fall out easily, you know why? I had to buy a new governor cup because the sliders broke the edges. When I measure the size to put the sliders on the new governor cup I realize that these 3 slider places are little bigger than the other, do you know why? There is something to do? so we don’t have this issues in the future. Thanks regards
I have a x3 rs turbo r my main riding is trails mountain climbs and as little mud as possible and climbing rocks when I have to is my stock set up on my clutch the best for my riding style?? Or is there a better set up for this???? Great video!! Thanks
Great Vid Aaron!! Very informative.. I noticed on the KWI web site while looking into the float mod a disclaimer "ANY gearbox seal protector IS NOT compatible with the KWI full floating clutches. You MUST remove the seal protector when you install FULL floating clutches". Is this an after market item or do all stock X3's have gearbox seal protector? Thank you for your in-site.
Quality is spot on! Kris works with you to get you dialed in right where you need to be for the conditions you ride in / tire size you're using / tune. I'm putting the final touches on a 0-60 video right now that shows the speed of a 2018 X3 with an HMF turbo back exhaust, Evo 3r tune, with a KWI Trail clutch kit. Should be up tonight!
Is Kwi primarily for Can Am? I see they make clutches for Polaris. But is can am their bread and butter or are their products for Polaris just as good?
Kwi products are just as good on all applications. They got their start from snowmobiles... and if you understand how to clutch a snowmobile, you can work any cvt!
is it possible to show a video where you clock the clutch going from stock to like the x36 kit. I don't see any videos where the clutch is actually being clocked they seem to always leave it out. want to buy but this is keeping me weary everything else seems easy to do with the videos especially yours that ive seen. also is there anything permanent when you go with the kwi kit im under factory warranty I put everything back to stock when I turn the machine in. running a powertune stage 4int with turbosmart BOV and wastegate turned up by choice touch more boost. needs clutching now to really bring it out don't you agree???
ok well when you are pressing the secondary spring back on you seem to twist it in a cartain way but to me you weren't specific enough to know for sure what you did and video is editied to leave out something there. you say turn in once full rotation clockwise. Is that from the one leg where it sits normally to the next leg or a complete 360 degree rotation??
So when you put the helix back into the secondary, the arms will be near a set of rollers on the secondary. You need to "clock" the helix passed the next set of rollers. So you turn, or tighten, the spring to the next set of rollers. That's clocking
ok thanks much man now I understand it pretty sure. hopefully I can get it wish I had a better way to contact you if I have and issue. you seem like a cool good dude and id love to ride with ya show ya how to really ride fast haha. im from Indiana come ride sometime, test powertune stage 4int with x36 clutching evo downpipe and Yoshi pipe against your setup. drag strip where I ride and a badass track
Currently I am running the X250 kit, we've installed a bigger turbo and we're pushing some bigger horse power. Get caught up on our videos!! :) We sell all the KWI kits and parts in our store with free shipping, too
While appreciate your vids and your efforts, please speed it up - way too much jargon drags it on... and on.... and on..... Mimic airdams vids, for example - to the point, concise, functional.
“Don’t hit the clutch puller with a high power impact” don’t take your stuff to a dealer then. As a 10 year Honda Yamaha Arctic Cat dealer mechanic, I can tell you I have never removed a taper fit clutch off of anything without using an impact. 🤣🤣neither has anyone I work with. I have never had anything I worked on come back because I ruined their crank with my impact. 🤷♂️
Returned to this a year later as a refresher, thanks again for doing this. Haven't seen you guys post in a while. Hope all is well. 👍👍
Very good, I feel very comfortable doing this to my Can-Am X3. I like how you really take you time to explain all details.
Thanks brother! We're happy when we can help!

Heck yea man!! Thank you!

Awesome video as always. I will definitely be adding the tool kit to my clutch order.
Very nice! We've used it countless times since... well worth the investment
Excellent vid Aaron! Thanks for going thru the effort to share this!
My pleasure good sir! Thank you for the comment!
I was on the fence about this tool but you talked me into it. Nice vid.
Awesome! Glad we were able to help!

Do you need to do the valve lapping compound to the primary before installing?
Why you put spring pin on helix on 5th hole not like was before on 1st ? Dont undersrand
How do you like the kwi float mod?? Seems like it's the way to go!! Next 1000 bux I have is going to that!!
I have a x3 rs turbo r my main riding is trails mountain climbs and as little mud as possible and climbing rocks when I have to is my stock set up on my clutch the best for my riding style?? Or is there a better set up for this???? Great video!! Thanks

Hey brother, thanks for the comment! A gear box protector seal is an aftermarket product
Thanks for the quick reply brother. Going for the float mod. Just got all my parts in for my E85 upgrade from EVO. Can't wait to burn the corn!!
We love our Stage 5!!! You will be happy
Great vid Aaron. Been looking at KWI for clutching too. How is the quality on the clutch kit? I really appreciate the long videos.👍👍

What brand is that flex extension?
Why only three pucks came out.

The end of the video is me "clocking" it. Just means to adjust the hole that the secondary spring is in

We're always down for a good ride!
I have a question ? what clutch kit did you with ? x195?
Currently I am running the X250 kit, we've installed a bigger turbo and we're pushing some bigger horse power. Get caught up on our videos!! :)
