When using the Akano mask (the spinny one): If you want extra height, then do a crouch/slide jump and about 1/3 or 1/2 of the way through the jump (not immediately, but also not too late). Your goal is to get the high jump, while activating the mask with the most momentum possible. It might take a little time to get down, but what's nice about it, especially on this level for clear reasons, is that if you don't need to perform it perfectly. If you fail it, just drop back down and try it again. It's never needed, but it helps make gaps or in this case, avoid boxes, with little effort.
I just wanted to say thank you again for having the entire crash bandicoot N sane trilogy well as crash bandicoot 4 I definitely intend to get myself a copy of these games on my Nintendo switch as well as Xbox one hopefully soon thanks Ray for streaming not just my first Playstation game series I got but also one of my all time favorite platforms as well

Just a tip for the blue gem on _Draggin' On_ for everyone else here: The challenge is only for not breaking any box, not also deathless, technically. Because while you do naturally have to do the entire level without dying (can't break checkpoint crates), your death tally makes no difference. Basically, when you die or break a box (then subsequently die), don't bother restarting the level as it takes so god damn long to load compared to dying and re-spawning. Dialog won't replay, and you can gain pity masks. Also, you can use the bonus path to make a free checkpoint which is nice. TL;DR: the blue gem challenge doesn't strictly include "not dying", so don't bother restarting unless you break a checkpoint crate (the bonus path checkpoint is free).
Just watching this frustrates me to no end. Not cause of Ray but cause of game design, like seriously, who asked for all this shit to do? Like I see this as game you can play and can have some fun with but it's absolute torture trying to go for everything in the game.
I mean, keep in mind people have been waiting over a decade for a proper "crash 4" may as well let people play and try to do things for as long as they can
