I love the fact that throughout the tape you're talking about progressions and reading routes and defense. Caleb's tape was the same play over and over again. Caleb has the arm talent, but I lean Jayden because I feel he has more time reading defenses rather than scrambling.
Calebs best plays they show when looking at his tape is mostly scrambles and making something happen..i agree with you…we dont even get chances to see if he can read a defense or not and JDs tape shows he can read a defense and goes through progressions….JD would be my pick if im the bears..trade back n pick him
Brian Kelly knows how to coach offense and JD did well executing within that system plus capitalizing with his legs and with two elite college receivers.
Jaden, talented kid. Nice passes and has the legs to move. The biggest thing as I watch this tape is. His offense line is great. The amount of times I seen him just cruising in the backfield with hardly any pressure that worries me. The NFL will not be like that. We will all see. 🤷

Which is a reason why Caleb had a high sack rate as well, while QBs like JJ and Penix didn't. They weren't asked to create as much.

LSU converted their 3rd downs at like a 54% rate, I think only Georgia was better so those "3rd and longs" didn't matter anyway.

His throwing mechanics are a massive problem. Let the tape roll and watch him, just him. You will start to see his arm is very slow to come around and seems like a mere consequence of the sudden body twisting motion. He does not “drive” the ball. There is no arm extension or whip action with the snapping of the wrist. He’s leaving tons of power on the table. Is it fixable?
You should pitch a show to NFL Network. Mariucci and Gruden both got to sit down and go through the film with prospects, and ask all of those questions you have. I think you would be even more popular. Maybe even expand it to include WRs too. I'm sure you could get other greats to come on to help out with the on-field work as well.

The SEC is the most competitive division in college football. That being said, the majority of the best quarterbacks in the NFL never played in it. Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson... Joe Burrow played in the SEC sure but it's not like all the other good quarterbacks did. I'm an SEC fan but we need to move on from this idea that playing in the SEC means more for scouting quarterbacks.

Mr. Warner could never do what Jayden is capable of as a QB. Jayden will get better throwing accurately. He’s just too much of a threat to pass at 2. Way better than Maye. Especially mechanically
