Julie it’s the same as a football stadium. The reason is because if you throw a bottle of water with the lid on, it’s a lot heavier if it hits somebody. But if you throw a bottle of water without the lid, by the time it reaches somebody lots of the liquid will have emptied and it’ll be a lot lighter if it hits someone. Hope that makes sense!
Julie just googled is that if you throw a bottle without a top the contents will come out and hurt less than if it was full. Also on the stairs either going in or out if someone drops a bottle without a top it won’t crush and someone could slip or roll on it , without a top it will just crush and be safer , same with the Coke can it will crush rather than slip.
Wow, the last time I was there was when I was 10 on a school trip back in 2000 and it was the Millenium Dome. Would love to see Strictly live. Glad you both had a great time.
Thanks for taking me along with you Julie I enjoyed through your eyes! I've always wanted to go to a live show, maybe one day I will! I live in London so there isn't really any excuse but for the pricing! Take care ❤
No concert or events say the start time on the tickets as they have warm up things. It's always the gate or doors open at time. And like everyone else says, the bottles are for safety reasons. Another well known fact! 🤦🏼♀️
You can throw a bottle top very far whereas a can you would not b able to. I recently went to the o2 to see Depeche mode we had 3rd row seats (by the stage right at the front!!!!!). Was amazing. Xxxxx.
Bottle caps or tops are removed as a safety requirement. The reason for this is that when trodden on, a plastic bottle with the top intact does not crush but acts as a roller, therefore becoming a potential threat to people's safety (particularly in the event of an evacuation).
If someone were to throw an open can or a water bottle without a cap, the contents will (hopefully) empty through the air and have less of an impact on whoever/whatever it may hit. Unfortunately, a few idiots in the past have spoiled things for everyone by throwing full bottles.
Every stadium they take bottle lids purely so u can’t throw them or throw the bottle of water etc at the stage to players/performers it’s a rule in every stadium in the UK as a football fan who goes to stadiums often hid bottle lids in your pockets aha
I have never been able to get into strictly, dancing on ice etc although my mum took me to dancing on ice live one year at Nottingham when she won tickets. It’s a long time since I saw anything at the o2. I don’t think they had shops there last time I went (must’ve been about 2009 or 2010) I have been to the Nando’s in there though. Was the first time I tried Nando’s lol. I second what others have said about water bottles. I tend to take my own reusable bottle places though and no one even checked my bag when we went to Sheffield arena to watch my kids do young voices the other day. We’ve got Rick Astley in Nottingham then when I guess they may be tighter on security
@@theprodigalyou should try and boycott Starbucks, bc they’re funding the genocide in gaza. Innocent killing of Palestinian children and women, there’s been more that 28,000 deaths, majority women and children. Starbucks we’re sacking their union workers who were sticking up for Palestine and they fund the idf too
I got to lots of concerts and they stop you takong bottle in as people throw them at the famous people believe it or not disgusting behaviour it is but sadly it does happen have fab time both you xxx

Tickets usually say Doors Open (insert time here) not that the show starts at that time

You should go to the strictly professionals tour. It’s amazing 🎉
Julie gives such mum energy I love it
According to google you can’t have a full bottle because people throw them on stage or at people. Glad you both had a great time. 😊
I was the same so confused at the 1pm advert, then 2.30 start!
Right! I’ll know for next time!
I went to one in Leeds fantastic 🎉🎉
I love Atticus’s encyclopaedic knowledge of the motorway system and service stations. Great little companion !
He’s such a clever little boy!
I went to the same show as you
Also what makes me laugh is that the new style of bottle tops are designed to stay attached x
They are so annoying
Can I ask what section you are in please? I’ve literally just booked the 02 and I think it’s around where you are. Thanks x
