Hi guys and welcome to another of my retrospective and reviews of old cartoons. This time covering The Flintstones which happens to be one of my favorites.
Flintstones is required watching for any true fan of classic television and the foundation of all things Hanna & Barbara. (Sorry scooby) Thanks for posting.
Out of all the shows Boomerang & MeTV have aired, The Flintstones is without a doubt the funniest. It's my all-time favorite Hanna-Barbera series. Here's my Top 30 Flintstones episodes 30. "Barney the Invisible" 29. "The Beauty Contest" 28. "Bachelor Daze" 27. "Cave Scout Jamboree" 26. "Christmas Flintstone" 25. "Reel Trouble" 24. "Mother-in-Law's Visit" 23. "The Twitch" 22. "Surfin' Fred" 21. "Ventriloquist Barney" 20. "A Haunted House is Not a Home" 19. "Hot Lips Hannigan" 18. "Peek-a-Boo Camera" 17. "Daddy's Little Beauty" 16. "The Drive-In" 15. "Hawaiian Escapade" 14. "The Bowling Ballet" 13. "Ann-Margrock Presents" 12. "The Split Personality" 11. "Fred Flintstone Before & After" 10. "The Astro-Nuts" 9. "The Flintstone Flyer" 8. "The House Guest" 7. "Ladies Night @ the Lodge" 6. "Bedrock Rodeo Round-Up" 5. "No Biz like Show Biz" 4. "The Blessed Event" 3. "Little Bamm-Bamm" 2. "The Swimming Pool" 1. "Pebbles' Birthday Party"
I think it's my favorite Hanna-Barbera series too. Narrowly beating out Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry. I used to always look forward to watching the show on Boomerang as a kid.
@@WilliamAngell96, this & The Powerpuff Girls (1998) are my top 2 Hanna-Barbera shows. The Flintstones beats The Powerpuff Girls (1998) by a few good episodes.
So fun fact: In Hungary, the dub was done by Romhányi József, a screenwritter and a poet, and he did the whole show in rhymes. If I remember correctly even the movies where in rhymes. I don't know about Flinstones kids thought
When I was a kid, I remember having a VHS tape with two of the Season 3 episodes: the one where Pebbles is born and the beauty contest one. It may be nostalgia, but I always thought the episode where Pebbles was born was really funny. One of my other favorite Flintstones moments was early in season 2 when Fred says sarcastically that they “will stop at the nice clean gas station and get some nice clean gas” and then the gas station is actually called The Nice Clean Gas Station. That joke gets me every time!
I also enjoyed that Pebbles episode. The way Fred and Barney kept mixing up Wilma was great, it fits them too given how incompetent they can be. The show may not have been the most packed full of jokes but there were a lot of subtle clever ones that rewarded you for paying attention.

Thanks for watching I totally agree.
Even though I haven't watched this show much, I have a lot of respect for the importance and legacy it has made for animation in general.
I LOVE THE FLINTSTONES AND I ALWAYS WILL IM JUST GONNA COME OUT AN SAY IT THE FLINTSTONES IS THE BEST CARTOON IN HISTORY PERIOD❤
A totally understandable opinion. It's one of my faves too.
For more adult oriented flintstones content, flintstones on the rocks is a great film that feels more like the classic episodes. Great retrospective!
Thanks for the comment and suggestion. I will keep it in mind for whenever I have some free time.

@@WilliamAngell96, another great Pebbles episode is the 1 where Fred dreams about her & Bamm-Bamm singing.
It's May 21, 2023 today and The Simpsons Season 34 finishes airing. You know what that means, right?
Cactus Cooler 🪴 is amazing! A rare treat these days. And its close cousin Tahitian Treat
