Does anyone know if the Sound Transit buses are burned off natural gas?

Zach Burton - I'm not 100% sure, but I think only their CNG buses are.

Okay, thanks for the info. It be great if they all were off natural gas or hybrid-electric because that would be better for the environment!

Their entire fleet is a mix of CNG, diesel and Hybrid-Electric. I like the variety. Sound Transit is jointly operated by Community Transit, King County Metro and Pierce Transit, hence the many different types of buses and fuel choices that's in their fleet.

I do like the different choices as well, I'm just super crazy about the environment! Iv never heard of CNG before.

I always forget about diesel. I have heard that it can be better for the environment too. I need to do some research on that, probably. And another thing, I think it's cool they have those two floored buses, like bus 413, I think.

Yeah, most of the fleet has clean diesel technology that helps, CNG = Clean Natural Gas/Compressed Natural Gas. The CNGs are operated by Pierce Transit whereas most of the Diesels and Hybrids are operated by King County Metro and Community Transit.
