That's the general problem I have with the English dubs. English male voice actors are fine, but English female voice actresses all sound like older women who desperately try to sound young. I think, maybe on average Japanese voice actresses are younger, but I know the Japanese voice actress for Osaka was over 30 at the time of the recording. Maybe they need some better training or the dub companies should find actresses who can do better young girl voices.
Kimura's family aside, I love how Chiyo's still trying to make a good case for him & his wife. She's so sweet, always thinking there's good in everyone and always assuming everyone is a good person, no matter how eccentric they may be.

pretty sure Tomo's voice actress was a teen at the time. she retired shortly after the dub came out to go to college.
