Love the production of these overviews! One suggestion when editing: when the same civ info screen is shown over and over again (2:00, 2:27, 3:02), adding some sort of edit to draw attention to the bonus being talked about would be useful i.e. red lettering, a red-box around the bonus, or something like the graphic used at 4:31. Overall very well put together!
Bulgarians are on the Persians pre-patch level. They need (from historical and gameplay viewpoint ) at least decent monastery and simple trade bonus. As for unit variety, step lancer (or unique variation) or slavic for archers would be nice. Also, konnik needs 10-15 more hp

Bulgarians is the only civ that had never been drafted in 2 consecutive S tier (RM setting) tournaments - NAC5 and HC5. I think they are the most predictable civ on highest level.
Maybe a new civ bonus is needed for them to buff one of their pierce damage dealer. I'd recommend either 1) a scorpion buff like 100% pass through damage or 2) a Cavalry Archer buff like Cavalry Archer can be trained in Stable so that with their blacksmith bonuses, they can transition into Cavalry Archer real fast.
And amazing video quality. I think you could add the amazing Bulgarians civ jingle on the video.
My suggestion woud be to give them 20% faster attacking melee cavalry and have stirrups be adjusted to also grant +20% but to all mounted units. This would then buff their Cav archers and makes their general Cavalry play a bit less generic before late castle age.
Yes I know there is overlap with the mongols faster attacking Cav archers and this would be strictly worse, but it applys to all mounted units and is attached to a unique tech, so I think it would be different enough.

i really like the bulgarian tech tree but they are just lacking something, maybe the blacksmith discount should apply to the gold cost of upgrades as well to help with the castle age pushes or give them x-bow so they save 100 food on bodkin and get a nice timing

i love my bulgs, one of my favorites and with a outstanding WR in my elo (1000-1100). MAA with towers is amazing, blacksmith timing is super cool too. konniks are awesome and stirrups is super strong. bagains champions + halbs with stir ups hussar with kreposts is so cool to play. love it.

Easily my favourite civ, and very misunderstood.
People tend to overlook their upgrade discounts when scoffing at their lack of eco upgrades.
Arguably the best hussar in the game, and despite lacking Paladin, Stirrups makes their cavalier no joke.
While generic, their CA is actually quite strong (only missing final armour), and once you mix in SO it can become a real death ball (remembering that teching into SO is heavily discounted). Not to mention, the biggest hurdle for CA is how many upgrades you need, so when considering how cheap + faster blacksmith are makes them very viable.
There are some interesting FF strats if you can pull off the timings as well.
I’d argue, much like steppe lancers used to be, people haven’t given them a real chance at the high level.
Mongols, Byzantines and Magyars are my 3 favorite civs, would love to see an overview of one of these :D

Bulgarians feel weak, but they're one wrong buff away from being OP. Give them a dark age bonus and suddenly the MAA timing is unreasonable. Give them an early feudal bonus and now they're OP on EW. I'd like to see them buff the blacksmith with faster build speed and some pop space to make an early blacksmith or even double blacksmith to be a viable option. Chatting.
The main issue with infantry civs is the fact that there are no separate light scout infantry units and heavy infantry like scout/knights are for cavalry
Well thats true for most infantry civs... Give them one wrong buff and suddenly the game flips
i have a lot of fun modding, Bagains costing 650-700 gold and granting +6 armor instead = an actual legitimate infantry option

I played a lot with Bulgarians when I started and was winning all the time. I believe low elo players are not the best at countering. So they only make halbardiers to counter Konnicks. But it only works until Konniks are dissmounted after which they delete the halbs. So if players don't support their halbs with champions or hand canoneers or other units, they lose against Bulgarians.
i would say post imp is definetly an A or S for stirrups hussar good trash and steroid longswords, so their trash fight is just amazing
Post Imp, but also late castle age, as long as no one has paladins.
Bulgarian husar is one of the best due to the faster attack. It easily beats the other civ's hussars
I think soul uses some grapas where this civs perform the best like I'm minutes
