I 'discovered' MAGO just a few days ago. It's just incredible how little I find about it on here. At least the few videos that are up are INCREDIBLY GOOD, including this one! Please, please, _PLEASE,_ I know that this vid is a little old, but PLEAAAAAASE do the other phases too one day!! That'd be so cool!
Woah man, this is really well-done! I'll admit, I have no context for this song, but this remix really catches on quickly! The instrumentation here is really sharp, vibrant, and colorful, and I love the different rock and orchestral elements working in tandem seamlessly here. It's a great blend of electric guitar, saws, strings, brass, and a host of other instrument and synth types, and it makes for a very coordinated hybrid sound! The timing and usage of different instruments is something that really stands out to me here, and it's cool how you'll add, remove, or swap out certain layers in repeated sections for added variety in the sound. A prominent example of this is the segment beginning at 1:08 - in every iteration of the phrase, you've added in something new, and that moving synth rhythm at 1:17 really amps it up quite a bit! The drive is unrelenting, but it never gets wearisome, since the intensity and energy change dynamically through the song. And I have to mention, the drums here are excellent, and the use of frequent and drum fills, as well as interesting lead-ins helps the beats to segue seamlessly into one another. Great use of toms, as well, and they really emphasize the "fight" aspect of this piece! Amazing work with the visuals, by the way! I love the different layers of animated designs playing out simultaneously, and there's always something interesting going on in the video. The contrast of the illustrated foreground image and the pixel-styled background is neat, as well, and the EQ waveform is a great added touch! Just a really well-made video all-around. Excellent work, Bardometer! 🌟
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed every aspect of the remix, especially considering that this level of detail (visually, mostly) is a little hard to assemble. It’s taking a page out of some of my inspirations on UA-cam, and I think that it really helps with the overall quality of the video.
YOOO! This is so cool, thank you so much for making this!
And thank you for the awesome soundtrack dude!

I decided to look into this game because of this theme!! I adore it!
Subscribing now so I can say I've been here for a while, because this is great.
Very well done Bard, this was an excellent remix of best boi's theme.

THIS DESERVES MORE ATTENTION
I know I'm late to this but gourmet is my favourite jester character of all
Dw you're not late at all
Look at me, I came ten months after you
Are you gonna remake the second phase theme???
Would love to honestly! I threw in a little nod to it near the end of this cover, but that phase 2 will probably come someday in the future.
@@Bardometer I will wait for it
