Serious question: Can we start a Class Action lawsuit against Sony for making the PS5 to cap upload speeds? So many people are actually PAYING a lot of money for faster DL/UL speeds through our ISP, i.e. Fiber Optics. Yet, we're not able to get the full experience. Surely, we can take them to court over this. It's so unfair!
it depends where you live and which internet provider you are with because each provider as different pings,The closer you are to the main servers the better Youre connection will be specially in Pings...
That's pretty slow. How fast is your ISP max speeds? I would reboot your modem, router, switches and restart your PS5. Usually that helps with a very slow internet connection. Keep me posted and thanks for watching.

@@UltimateTechHub Hey there! I've got some good news to share. After a bit of troubleshooting, I managed to figure out why my PS5 wasn't reaching the full 300 Mbps speed. Turns out, it was the Ethernet cable linking my router and modem. Even though it was a Cat 6 cable, it seemed to be causing some bottlenecking issues. I swapped it out for a new cable, and voila! Now I'm consistently getting the full 300 Mbps. Plus, when I tested it with Cloudflare, I even saw speeds reaching up to 350 Mbps. It's a small fix, but it's made a big difference!

@UltimateTechHub this doesn't help. Sony has some kind of seriously strange server issues. I have one giga of fiber Optic internet and connect my PS5 directly to my router via ethernet. I have disconnected and restarted PS5 and router plenty of times. Nothing. I have also changed the DNS servers to all the recommended ones based off of my location....still nothing. I have done extensive research on this and tons of people experience the exact same problems. This stinks so bad because I am a gaming streamer and live off of this but haven't been able to stream in about a week because of Sony.
It' does not matter...PSN caps out downloads at 500/550Mbps you will never get higher...I have a 1.5G download and still can only get 500 avg on the PSN with or without a DNS...DNS does not matter because again PSN caps out...thats why PSN suck ass and I am moving to either Xbox cap is 800mbps or PC at 1G... Sony is ASS!!!
DNS servers can directly affect your game's performance through upload and download speeds and lag. Each time you connect to game servers or watch a video online, your computer performs DNS lookups on a DNS server. A gaming DNS server translates requests for domains to computer-friendly IP addresses. So yes it does change your speeds. Thank you for watching.
@@sebastiancraft8060 No, that's not true. Before the game can even connect to the game server, the domain must be resolved to an IP address (forward lookup), as you already wrote in your comment. Only after your game (client Windows/PSX etc.) has the IP address from the DNS can it connect to the game server. All further connections to the game server now take place using IP addresses, DNS no longer has anything to do with it. The only speed that is noticeable here is the dns query (how long it takes the DNS to tell you the IP address). A DNS lookup is also not performed every time you connect to the game server, each computer has a local DNS cache, only when this has expired for a particular domain is a new DNS lookup performed. Your download and upload speed will not change at all because it has nothing to do with it technically, that's a myth. Thanks for your comment.

Everybody got slow speed, don’t matter what you do, I get between 600 to a 1gb download but 8 9 upload

Would setting up an ip address make a big difference on internet speed for online gaming or it’s not really necessary?

I would reboot your router and PS5 and see if that improves your upload speed.

You should try port forwarding, it can slightly reduce ping by making data reception more direct.
