I use to haul truck loads of Toyota's from San Diego to Canada, It took about 20 to 30 minutes every time to get into Canada, coming back to the States like you said about 2 minutes and that was just for them to take my money $5...It's all about money here...lol :) My wife is Canadian also, we loved going to Duncan Canada to visit her mom and dad, beautiful country.
When I was in Arkansas we were driving home from church at night. There was an unusual cloud formation that we saw and it was visible in the dark. When were got home were found out that the Aurora Baurealis had somehow strangely found it's way all the way down to us. The colors didn't change but the news did say it was part of the A.B.
I don't know if anyone told you, but as you are leaving Canada Customs, headed SOUTH on your right is the Beaver Creek INTERNATIONAL Airport... it is International because you can clear customs right there, as you did on the road.
My in- laws went to the North Pole years ago. My kids loved the post card with a post mark of North Pole. They loved the photo of Santa's House. They were so small & ate it all up!! Thanks for that trip down memory lane! Loved those Fall colors.
Just started watching your videos through Canada and Alaska ... sorry I didn't catch them sooner. My son & his family live in Fairbanks and probably could have helped you out with some things (in fact you may have been able to park at their house instead of that campground) had I known about your travels earlier. You guys really need to go back there and check everything out. You just missed the Equinox Marathon ... it was held right after you left town. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Lorena and Paul great show last night .Lots of Lol. Congratulations on your semi-retirement and now you are doubling down on TME wishing you guys a lot of success
I entered and exited on Top of the World so didn’t get any “Welcome to Alaska” sign until I drove down to Haines on the way back. I left a couple of weeks before you, but did get caught in a snow storm in Grand Prairie.
We enjoyed the video but after all of the travellers posting Alaska videos, I'm glad it's coming to an end. I can't wait to see some videos of sand and palm trees. Actually..... I really can't wait until we can make some sand and palm tree videos next winter. We would enjoy making a Disney video with you guys next May. Safe travels my friends. ❤
yes you are right love it Alaska and Canada and we will go back again we enter Canada from North Dakota Alaskan highway and reenter America through Classier Highway in to Shelby Montana. Left saint John Indiana June 21st got back home September 20th. Almost the same route with some exceptions love to watch ur professional videos feel good to see all the places in videos again, Thanks for sharing .
Dang.. You keep tempting us with the idea of getting the Northern Lights video. Hopefully we will get to see them soon. I hope you are able to start winding down since you have sold the business and won't have such a busy next few weeks until you turn the business over to the new owners.
Jeez, Paul, seriously?? You are leaving Alaska and are worried about getting a snowstorm because you are now in Canada??? You are supporting the myth that we all live in igloos in the “great white north’. It’s Nov 25 and we are still waiting for our first snowfall!
Here is a video about settings for Aurora photos. For timelapse you would use similar settings. ua-cam.com/video/ki3qvdB2xWI/v-deo.html For timelapse use something like 300/focal length for length of exposure. For milky way use iso 1600 or 3200 for timelapse or night photography. Aurora may want to use a lower iso like 800. These are starting points. For GH5 these settings might need to be a little different. I use Canon 3ti. If you have the 5ti then there you go. Need to use tripod.
I have been following you guys on this trip from the start of it ..Enjoyed every video of your travels , I would like to ask a question of you ..I know you guys had some lofty expenditures in all the activities you got to do and probably a pretty high fuel bill for this Adventure,...Other than saying " we spent a lot " would you mind sharing the cost of this Wonderful trip with Us ..I know that's kind of Personal , Just wondering what it takes to go there and enjoy this and explore …? If you don't want to answer that's ok ..too ...My guess is about 10,000 or higher but for 2 months in Alaska for Fuel and food and attractions, and any repairs and All the memories you have is Darn Worth it …..
We really enjoy your videos. Very Cool! We are going full time next spring. I was wondering what editing software do you use? Your videos are Fantastic!

We used to live in North Pole and then Fairbanks from 1983 to 90. I miss the place and it changed a lot.
Aha ... my old stompin' grounds. I lived about a mile from here for 16+ years!!!
Were they replacing the bridge over the Tok River???
