@@Phoenix-xn3sf No doubt! I remember all of them as women who were holding their own in a crew of men. But still very feminine and stylish.
I wouldn’t say the first of hip hop, but yea she was a queen
Still the queen of freestyle music 🎶 2024
Such a beautiful and well-produced single with backup in Full Force, the most underrated and impactful ensemble in 80's synth hop.
It’s actually called Freestyle
@@StMichael7 No, it's not
@@StMichael7 that's' what we used to call it back then too
Lady C Exactly but Deep Sea didn’t know that
@@StMichael7 True, I didn't know that two strangers named something incorrectly.
I was going to go to sleep, but I feel this is just the beginning of an 80's music rabbit hole. I ain't even mad. See you on the other side!
Derek Straker hah lol I watched a full force video now I'm reliving my childhood lol
Same here.
This is when music and dancing was CLEAN.💯💥
Bro bring that comment to real life rn!!
Ummmm....clean-ish! Folks have always sung smut!
This song is literally about bonin' tho
Clean? This song is literally about wanting to do one night stands with no consequences lol. It’s a song that’s literally about casual sex.
Lest we ignore all the other wonders and truthtellers of an era...like 2 Live Crew or Motley Crue
Saw her perform on tv right now at 5AM lol really loved the melody and voice sent me back to my Childhood Vision FR FR
The music, songs, beats, and singing was 10 times better than it is now! The people back then had true raw talent!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Back then you had to
Lisa Lisa was not considered that great of a singer at the time.
Her haircut was everything! I wish I could go back in time. 80s and 90s were the absolute best!
I agree ❤️🗽
Lisa Lisa has said that hairstyle was accidental.
I don't care what you going through this song make you happy as hell when you hear it 😂

Life was so much better back then. I wish we could go back to the 80's and 90's!
I agree 👍
The 2020's is what happen when you just won't let something collapse. This is what happens when you try to prop up a bridge that can't wait to fall, tension. Pressure burst pipes.
Amen.
The more you know the worst life seems is all.
Some What... But, Not Everything!
She's so pretty....this song reminds me of my momma😍. RIP MOMMA MISS YOU😇
I remembering playing this so loud and dancing.. my grandmother yelling at me.. lord.. ❤️❤️❤️💕💕
J-Lo Need To Cut Lisa A Check, She Laid The Blueprint...🧐
Except Lisa could actually sing, and loved her Hispanic heritage.

I swear the 80's had the best party/breakdance beats. You wonder why we still make remixes of them today
Take me home🗽🗽✅💯💐🎧
Full force in full effect ❤️ with Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam
Stunned. Was this really the music video as released in 1984?? Because it sounds and looks 100% fresh now. Music, fashion, dancing and editing all feel so current.
Lisa Lisa is beautiful 🥰😍
Full Force with the gheri curls, muscles, lace, dangling earrings...there is no other group like them! Lisa Lisa carved a path for Latina female musicians. ❤️
She really did stand out putting them in the background making people forget who and what full force was/is, they made an awesome combo and I hope lots of money! I love them all!
Agree full forced curled their way to the bank!!! Great business men
Underrated producers / songwriters
Lisa Lisa is definitely 🔥🔥🔥🔥
1980s hit song it's still hitting in 2024

Not gonna lie, the video quality of this STILL slaps in 2020
2021
Lol at autocorrect. What word did you mean to use before it was autocorrected to "slaps"?
@@Orangeflava that's not autocorrected LMAO
This joint SLAPS. STILL.
@@AfoteyAnnum oh what does that mean then? I though slap is like when you strike someone across the face with your hand? Are youngsters trying to change the meaning? What does it mean now?
@@Orangeflava I'm 48 years old, and I learned that the word 'slaps' in slang means that a thing, generally music related, is really pleasing and good.
