Thank you for sharing your visit at this particular Resort. My husband and I are planning a trip in October of 2023 somewhere on the Dominican Republic and trying to decide which resort to stay at. Although your video is very informative I would suggest working on the sound of the music and the sound of your voice. At times I could barely hear you and then the music begins to blare and then I have to keep changing the volume on my device. Otherwise overall good review.
Hi Marc, transfer time from Punta Cana airport is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Can be a little shorter/longer depending on if there are other drops offs along the way, and the traffic.
Thank you for sharing, great video. What about the rooms, beside the diferente between garden view and ocean view? Any particular area that you think better than the other?
Other than view, all the rooms at this resort are the same. The ocean view rooms are located on the end of the building that faces the ocean. There are plenty of pictures available on line.
Great video very informative. We will be there February 12 through the 23rd With a group of 11. When was your video filmed? Did you have any problems getting seating at the pools or beach? Last March we stayed at at a resort in Punta Cana. We never did get to sit by the pool Because all of the seats were grabbed first thing in the morning. We had to tip a worker to save us eight seats at the beach every morning. Thank you!
As with most resorts, getting a location to camp out for the day is first come first served. Getting up early is always going to get you a preferred spot.
We found the food very good. Food is very subjective, and we are easy to please, so our experience may not be in-line with someone who has higher expectations.
Hi, my boyfriend and I are going to the Dominican Republic in the end of november. I can`t choose between Punta Cana or La Romana/Bayahibe. Any recommendations? I heard the Dominicus and Bayahibe beaches are the best? What about the sargassum? We want a beautiful beach. We just want to relax and enjoy our time. We also would like to go snorkeling, visit Sanoa and maybe some other tours. Due to Covid we also would like to know, if a adults only hotel is worth the extra money.
Hi Angelina! If beach is important, I would not choose La Romana. Bayahibe beaches are supposed to be very nice, but I've never stayed at a resort there. Punta Cana has a lot of nice beaches, it covers a very long stretch of beach, you can walk for miles. In regards to sargassum, it all depends on the ever powerful Mother Nature. The resorts do their best to clean it up as it comes ashore, but sometimes it can be too much for them to clear away. There is no way to know when it will be bad. It's just like the weather, you get what you get. Punta Cana isn't well known as a snorkeling destination, but there are excursions you can purchase at the resort. I've been to Saona twice; the basic tour and the VIP tour. If you would like something more than just a drop off at Saona for a day at the beach, choose the VIP tour. It will give you a much better tour of Saona with a few different stops. Adults only resorts tend to be a little more quiet, with less activities around the pools/beach area. There are a couple more active adults only resorts though, Breathless and Chic, if you are looking for a bit more of a party atmosphere. Whatever you choose, I hope you have a great trip!
@@fan1080Travels thanks for your reply. Their website says we are only allowed 3 ala carts per week but it shows 13 restaurants and about 3 main buffet and it said we can only eat the buffet at the main resort we booked at.
I did make a mistake with my reply, this is actually a Bahia Resort, not an AM Resorts Brand, sorry about that. However, there are still unlimited A La Cartes at Bouganville, but reservations will be required (I'll edit my previous response appropriately). You can check the details here: www.bahia-principe.com/en/resorts-in-dominican-republic/resort-bouganville/all-inclusive/. One other note, the buffets are typically reserved for the guests at each specific resort. So the buffets at Bouganville are all good to go as long as you are staying at Bouganville. You can go to the restaurants at the family resort next door, but you can not go to their buffet. A lot of weird rules with the Bahias in all destinations.
We haven't done much for excursions from this resort. Santo Domingo was an interesting place to visit, and we also did Saona Island. Both are good, but if you go to Saona, I would consider the more expensive VIP tour, rather than the beach day. The beach there is nice, but not worth it IMO. They pretty much just drop you off at the beach for the day. The VIP tours do a few stops on the Island and give you a more in depth tour of the hostory.
Love your video layout! Best resort walk-through I have seen yet. Resorts should hire you to do promo videos!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the kind words.
Excellent video you answered all my question that I have about this place. Thanks

This has really help me with my choice, I am choosing this resort because of you and your wife.
It really is a nice resort. We hope you enjoy your stay.
We loved our stay here in June July 2018
Great video. Thank you. Your voice is too low compared to the volume of the music.
Hey Fan1080, great video I always enjoy watching your videos great explaination of resorts along with video, how far is the resort from airport cheers

Another great video 👍🏼 we can't wait to get out of this lockdown and start vlogging again 🎥.
Yeah, us too. No trips south for us this year. Hopefully this is all behind us by next winter.
