That's amazing that there's even a flight between Milwaukee and Chicago. We drive there all the time from Chicago and it doesn't take long at all. Probably faster by car since you don't have to go through the airport process.
Thanks for posting this, as someone who flys out of ORD/MDW a lot, I've always noticed how packed the MKE/MSN waiting areas were and wondered why someone would do that flight and what such a short flight would be like.
The last leg of a flight I had once was Memphis to Little Rock, approximately 120 miles was wild how we basically followed the interstate and not much altitude. No drink service LOLOL. The FA never got out of their seat.
Its been many years, but in the '90's I flew that route a few times. 727, 737, and an ATR42. Colorado Springs to Denver is 45 miles. (Or so). Spend more time taxiing than flying!
This is just like the hops down to Colorado Springs from Denver! I think they are 75 miles away from each other and there are a ton of Southwest and United flights to and from!
When Midwest was around they would fly from Milwaukee to Madison roughly the same distance. I believe flights from Tampa to Orlando still exist today also the same distance.
Haha I flew out of Central Wisconsin Airport, just north of Milwaukee, on the same day! The cloud deck was damn low! 😂 but the sunrise popout was something from a movie! 🌅
You should have taken Amtrak's Hiawatha service between the 2 Cities and show the viewers what it's like. This is just like the service between Minneapolis and Rochester, MN which takes like 20 minutes to fly.
Flew back from Newark and had to take the Ohare to Milwaukee flight. You got robbed, seeing the clear night views of street lights for the whole journey given the low altitude is actually pretty cool.
I used to fly Skywest & Endeavor Air’s CRJ200’s on flights between Minneapolis and Grand Forks and I enjoyed them all. I know people shit on them but I personally love them as they’re a part of my childhood as I grew up flying on them and I still miss flying on them.
I did this leg a few years ago. Outbound leg the flight was on time MKE to ORD. Coming home after our trip the flight was delayed 3 hours. So close but so far. They kept having to find a crew. My suspicion is that this route pays ziltch and most crews keep saying no to it and then finally dispatch finds a combo of pilots and attendants with enough time and force dispatches them.
I did this flight as my very first flight ever. I was going from Milwaukee to. Chicago and then to Los Angeles. The only difference is that I flew on a 737. Now all they fly is the CRJ.
@@keithbuntrock5158 just the way the airline market works, in the eyes of the airline it’s not about how much it cost to get you somewhere, it’s how much people are willing to pay. Thats how they price airline tickets.
You rent a car from Chicago to Milwaukee ? That's interesting how it was half price out of Milwaukee...or maybe you left your car at or near airport at MKE....did you have to fly back to Milwaukee via Ord on way back? You could have just gotten off in Ord and gone home couldnt you ?
Great analysis, thank you! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
This guy really seems to like dissing MKE; it's a great city with some of the best facilities around; it even has a used book store and a flight museum; he even admitted it was cheaper than ORD. How odd he dissed it.
@@marcman844 I gave the population of the city which I do in all my videos and yes Milwaukee to Chicago is a shuttle flight not sure how that is dissing on MKE lol
What does the type certificate say? I’ll wait, but I already know. It doesn’t matter if they bought them out or not. It’s still a Bombardier CRJ. Not a Mitsubishi because they purchased
That’s a short flight….lol. Pretty cool they offer flights this close to Chicago

Thanks for showcasing my hometown airport! MKE has potential, just to needs recognition and exposure. As always love the videos
It may just have one terminal, but it's a medium sized hub not small.
Thanks for showing this. I have often wondered how these flights were. They look pretty nice.

In addition to the recombobulation area, it’s believed to be the first and perhaps only airport in the world with a secondhand bookstore

Colorado Springs to Denver is 45 miles. (Or so). Spend more time taxiing than flying!
You hit the nail on the head with crazy long taxi's at O'Hare. If you can get to or from your gate in less than 15 minutes you are doing great!

13:43 hey there’s Felicia next to the 767
Squeaked the landing!!!
I should fly from Milwaukee to Chicago then on to Seoul South Korea. Then I could say I did both O Hare's shortest and longest flights.
Those decks are LOW! Lucky that flight happened at all with the minimums being right at the minimum.
Ya I was really worried we weren’t going to be able to depart ontime

why didn't you just drive to ohare ? it is only 80 milesaway
It says in the video. He lives in Chicago, the flight to Japan was cheaper flying out of Milwaukee and connecting through Chicago
How long? Like 1 hr?
You might also be surprised at the difference in rental car prices between ORD and MDW for exactly the same itinerary.
So that was a hour flight?
@@victorgordon775 if you include taxing yes, but in the air only 30 minutes
Ok
no way, im from chicago area too!
man I'd hate to be in that much fog on takeoff and landing lol
But did you recombobulate?
Wow low ceiling at ORD
Whats the rationale of the airline charging half the price from Milwaukee? You take up a seat on two flights instead of one

Yes, but he saved $500 flying out of MKE instead of ORD.
