You seem to have made one of Lancashire’s prettiest villages look rather grotty!!

I know. I'm taking after Bryan Forbes in that respect.

I ran down Worsaw (pron. "Wussa") in an equally grimy February of 1961, and got ten bob from the producers of Whistle for me labours.
And - goggle maps for years had it labelled 'Fairy Bridge'. It triggered me so much I went and edited it back to its rightful Swanside Bridge. So you have me to thank for it being hard to find.
And - did you not look in VCH, which lists 'Walter the Mustard Maker' as an early resident of Chatburn? In about 1480. I've looked high and low for the mustard and found nowt. S'Probably under the bridge.

You were one of the kids in Whistle Down the Wind? That's a cool thing to be. 😀 As for the Victoria County History, that's usually Michelle's job, but we hadn't intended to go to Chatburn originally - it was only the rain making our bladders creak that made up our minds for us.

It's nice to see a bridge over troubled Walters.

Not to mention 'under' and 'surrounded by', given the amount of rain.

I'm still getting to grips with the demise of the best UA-cam channel that misplaced advertising can afford. Reduced to rewatching the auld episodes. What's the prognosis?
