Pep Guardiola believes Arsenal did NOT target Rodri on Sunday, and also says he and Mikel Arteta have exchanges texts after the match with their friendship not affected 🤝
The middle and upper classes have taken over football that's why we will never win a world cup because our players are all silver spoon melts, If you're working class you have to be a generational talent to get anywhere. Parents have to have enough disposable income to retire early and be able to take their children to all the training camps and pay for all the coaching etc. For example Gabriel Martinelli had a personal coach and nutritionist at 11, what working class kid can afford that? What working class parent can give up work and focus their entire life on getting their child to be a pro footballer? Very few. Furthermore all the FA training camps etc are at St George's Park which is a 7-8 hour train ride from London to Wakefield which means working class children can't afford the travel let alone the ridiculous prices of their training camps, they don't even advertise the prices because they know it's extortionate. It's bad enough that the government forces working class people to live on housing estates where there are "No Ball Games" allowed, it's bad enough that most London kids don't even have a patch of grass to play on, it's bad enough that even when an estate has a "cage" it's a recruitment ground for local gangs, it's bad enough people don't need another barrier in the form of a paywall. St George's park should be FREE for anyone 16 and under, it shouldn't be used as a tool to keep the poor, poor and the rich, rich by gatekeeping football. There were no middle and upper class footballers when they were being paid peanuts and had a full-time job on the side, football has always been the working man's game and the upper classes looked down on it until football started making money, that's when they moved in and used their power and influence to take over. Furthermore the upper classes are melts that's why we get beat by smaller teams because they have more heart and more fight in them than our toff players that have never had to fight for anything in their lives, adversity breeds resilience just look at the South Americans and how far they're willing to go to win. What a joke, Rodri was not targeted. He went at Havertz at the ing of the game. Havertz pulled out of the challenge, and Roderi hurt himself. As for thecPartey 😮 knees made contact. Rodris left and Parteys right knee. Right after that contact Rodri planted his right foot, and thecACL in his rightvknee gave out. Partey did nothing to his right knee. It was an injury that was caused more than likely by him being asked to play to much football. He just got run down to the point where his body gave up. The same is probably true of the KDB injury as well. Get use to these injuries happening more often to star players. The health and safety of the players is being put in jeopardy by the stake holders in the game and the PGMOl who are suppose to protect the players on the pitch, and they're not. It's so bad that the players are talking openly about striking.

Finally!!!!! Guardiola speaking the truth and giving Arsenal the credit they deserve, unlike his whingeing players who actually were as aggressive and ‘Committed ‘ as the Arsenal players. I also think Guardiola is smart and knows that his players are causing more problems for themselves by moaning that teams won’t play nicely.
This is what an immature most city fans who complain rodri injuries because of havertz and partey target him, well the answer is from your manager him self, stop complaining and moaning like a babies
You’d never wish ill on anyone… but if there is someone that needed some humbling, it’s definitely Rodri. World class player. No doubt in that whatsoever. But his off-field comments coupled with his petty, petulant childish moments on-field, it was about time the universe served him his humble pie..
Feels like City are using the way Arsenal played second half as a bit of a comfort blanket. Let's not forget, 11v11, after an awesome opening 10mins from City, Arsenal were 2-1 and looked the better team when Trossard messed up.
He is very lucky he got Gundogan bacl to ease the loss of Rodri. I can see Stones playing at cb and drifting into the mid like he did a few seasons ago.
Injury is part of football and it can happen to anyone. Rodri is exception. Although, I feel for him as a good person that I am. No one is above injury in football and it can happen anytime and any day at any pitch. No one target Rodri for the injury. It happened when it wanted to happen. City should move on. After all Odegard is injury and Arsenal is moving on. What are we saying?
He clearly just got his studs stuck awkwardly in the grass. It’s just one of those very unfortunate moments when you put your foot down awkwardly at high intensity and your body just isn’t designed to handle that kind of pressure. ACL injuries are weird like that. Usually it looks so weird or innocuous when it happens but they’re easily some of the worst things you could end up with as an athlete.
Didn't his leg get stuck with a hyper extended knee ? Could be wrong it came across like that, impact from a defensive players surly doesn't affect the knee like this .
Dunno why Pep says he wouldn't be able to defend deep, he's never had to do it. His managerial career is basically Barca greatest football team i've ever seen, Bayern a club that is head and shoulders above every other club in Germany, then came to City and spent the oil money to buy all the best players.
Well done Pep for praising Arteta for Arsenal second half performance. Admitting his team couldn’t do that. He knows not many teams could defend like that against his team, in their house for 55 mins
All that I saw in the game is that Arsenal went with a brutal mind to play Man city and that's why they were reacting roughly with the ball. This is not good. A good game is when you play professionally to win your opponent. You might think you are doing good to play a brutal game but in the long run it will affect you seriously if other teams decide to play the same game to you. Arsenal should change that mentality despite the crazy desire to win the trophies.
Arsenal Targeting Rodri??? What that injury happened on the way he landed on his leg (that’s why u can tell it’s a bad one). I don’t wish any player injury and hope Rodri makes it back soon as possible. We want to beat City’s best team. I just dislike Rodri After his comments last year about Arsenal coming for a draw and not playing. Then him clearly trying to injure Odegaard, on international duty. Also his comments about Scotland game complaining about Scotland playing defensive. He should learn to keep his mouth shut and unlike Haaland “Stay Humble”.
We know by now that Arsenal will be a problem for City regardless if City go an win the quadruple next. Arsenal have been on their back with a rookie manager and relatively new team. Pep knows his business very well and he and his squad is fully aware of Arsenal. Shame there’s no other teams that bother City. But it is Arsenal that have rattled their cage as we saw in last game!

“Congratulations for the win?” WHAT
Karma is real as it can get.
What win is the journalist congratulating Pep for?
Watford EFL 2:1 last night
The journalist that asked this question is SO DUMB as Rodri got his ACL injury because he jarred his knee when his studs got stuck in the grass! I CLEARLY saw this during the match so why didn’t he? 🤔
Day 277: City fans still accusing Arsenal of the dark arts, bewitching Rodri, making yhem cheat 115 times.... 😂😂😂😂
if you think havertz is tanking rodri, i want whatever you are smoking
Rodri
Best defensive midfielder in the world!
What a stupid question. We all saw Rodri get injured
That's a RODRIculous question 😅😅😅
I imagine journalists are even cheaper to buy than PGMOL refs
Targeted Rodri?😂 get rid of that stirring journalist. He injured himself
Journalist: Did you feel Rodri was targeted by Arsenal..?
Pep: No
Journalist: Not at all?
Do better please. This need for drama is embarrassing.
He is very lucky he got Gundogan bacl to ease the loss of Rodri. I can see Stones playing at cb and drifting into the mid like he did a few seasons ago.
Journalism is turning into bullying coaches into saying things that get clicks😂😂😂 that guy should be ashamed
I wonder who are worse? The refs or the journalists 😂
Rumor has it that City have signed Michael Oliver on a free transfer to fill the backup CDM position
Why is it embargoed and it takes so long to be released? Cheers
Well done Pep for praising Arteta for Arsenal second half performance. Admitting his team couldn’t do that.
He knows not many teams could defend like that against his team, in their house for 55 mins
Rodri went down twice and neither time was adjudged to be a foul. Bare in mind Abu Dhabi's very own, Michael Oliver, was the referee.
Pep really lovea Arenal
Big respect
All that I saw in the game is that Arsenal went with a brutal mind to play Man city and that's why they were reacting roughly with the ball. This is not good. A good game is when you play professionally to win your opponent. You might think you are doing good to play a brutal game but in the long run it will affect you seriously if other teams decide to play the same game to you. Arsenal should change that mentality despite the crazy desire to win the trophies.
It's fine that people hate us. It's part of our history. - George Graham. In spite of his later history with Spurs.
No but Rodri and Kovacic has targeted Odegaard on two different occasions on purpose.
Havertz just stood his ground.
I'm injured like Rodri but shorter time of course (right ankle injury)
What is the name of the person that asked if Arsenal targeted Rodri?
We know by now that Arsenal will be a problem for City regardless if City go an win the quadruple next. Arsenal have been on their back with a rookie manager and relatively new team. Pep knows his business very well and he and his squad is fully aware of Arsenal. Shame there’s no other teams that bother City. But it is Arsenal that have rattled their cage as we saw in last game!
Bottlers
Rodri wanted Havertz to get sent off in the first minutes of the game
Rodri so brittle, can't even handle a tap on the shoulder
It's not rattled. We are watching the Waterboy movie in real life!!!! I hope it sticks 😆
You can just hear the frustration in his voice…these schedules are just ridiculous…and that’s before that stupid club’s world cup…
Pep's english is hilarious
At least pep talks sense
Pep playing the underdog role once again, how many PLs does he have to win in a row to not play the underdog...
See how ppl talk shit about pep when even he loves the challenge to make him better
No worrries pep. Soon Bully Halaand also will take rest
Rodri said we always go to Etihad for a draw we had to show him how it is done
These journalists can ask stupid questions sometimes. That Arsenal targeted Rodri question was diabolical.
No one asked about Haaland’s roaring elbow to the back of Partey’s head.
Embarrassing journalism
Pep you're not ashamed drawing match with 10 men
