I've brought my son to two golf events, Rory won the Irish Open in 2016, and Shane won the Open Championship in 2019. So he has 100% rate of Irish winners! So if Shane or Rory would like to invite us to the Masters, we'll see what we can do 🤣🤣😉😉👍
I knocked over my TV that evening in excitement, not kidding. Had to go to the pub to watch the last few holes. Got a new one the next day, 50". Thanks Shane 🤣
I've known Shane for a long time..such a humble man..He plays golf ,enjoys himself,.. Shane won the Irish Close in 2007,The West in 2008,The North in 2008 ,I always remember he came to New forest to play Senior Cup for Esker Hills on Saturday ,the day after winning in Portrush, after playing roughly 144 holes of golf to win the North of Ireland, from the previous Monday, Culminating in the Semi final on Friday morning and the final after lunch. Shane also won the Mullingar Scratch in 2008.. Alan ,Shane's brother won Mullingar in 20I5. I'm not sure are they the first set of brothers to win Mullingar.I stand correct on that. I played golf with Shane in Esker Hills in 2007 on a bright crisp November day ,Sunday November 18th in The Midland Senior Alliance..He went around in 67gross that day..we were on the par 3 13th... The pin was on the front on the two tiered green.... Shane was on the top tier 30 feet away...Some lad might take the putter..Out came the sandwedge,he flied the ball the whole way to the flag stonedead. Shane you were paired that day with Stephen Grant ,John Dwyer and Declan Gath..We had a great day that day..even though John drove you mad blowing smoke in your face ,because John loved his fag,we had a brilliant day..Thank you for the memories Shane..A gentleman.
Golf and standup comedy have a lot of their most difficult aspects in common. And anyone who has excelled, to any level, in either has done so against incredible odds and likely with some serious lumps and embarrassment along the way. Mere survival in either world is a gigantic, almost miraculous accomplishment. Hats off to both.

It's such a feelgood show. In this particular episode Shane Lowry has bought into it. There is nothing strained in the interview. It's genuine and positive and very f*cking funny. Top TV!

Great interview with a fantastic ambassador for the country. Seeing Shane win the open was one of my favourite moments in sport!

This is such a brilliant show. Tiernan laughs WITH his guests rather than at them. He's sincere and genuinely interested in his guests.
Great interview, Tommy bringing the best out in people. Lowry has a great sense of humour!
@Peekle Everyone has their own opinion. Don't watch him if you don't like him.
Seems a genuine decent bloke Lowry not like that other arrogant mcclory
