Our story revolves around an ambitious 8-year-old girl named Stella. With a heart full of love for her parents and a head full of ideas on how to earn some extra cash, she decides to dive headfirst into the world of work, navigating the highs and lows of job hunting in an attempt to buy her parents something special.
Stella's search leads her from online job postings to real-world job interviews, with her sights set high on a doctor's job (yes, you heard it right!) because it pays well. But alas! The doctor's office isn't too impressed with Stella's enthusiasm, and she faces her first taste of professional rejection. Unfazed, Stella then tries her luck at a local pizza shop, but once again, she is turned away due to her young age.
Stella's mother, upon learning about her adventurous job hunt, is less than thrilled. Nevertheless, she suggests a more age-appropriate job and sends Stella off to clean a neighbor's house. This too proves overwhelming for our young protagonist, leading her to babysitting her cousin Ivy, another task that quickly becomes too much for her to handle.
Just when all hope seems lost, Stella discovers her passion - walking dogs for her neighbors! She realizes she enjoys this activity and it's a job she can do well, despite her young age.
