When GnR's frontman Axl Rose dove off the stage after a photographer
I was there, man. Dude literally just picked up the guy's house and walked away with it. Craziest thing I ever did see...
Evan S best UA-cam comment I’ve read in awhile
Evan S If you do enough bench presses, picking up a house is fairly easy tbh. My uncle stole 2 bungalows last week, walked them each 1.5 miles.
Not bad. I've been doing extra lunges lately. Trying to work my way up from cottages to multi-floor Victorian era homes.
Would you mind lifting my apartment when you can? Been drinking protein shakes but can only manage a shed
Yet my wife doesn’t believe someone stole our vacation house and accuses me of selling it!
You can't have a rock channel and censor the bad language

@@DukeFan1971 ahh that's more f*ckin like it. xD
It makes it uncomfortable to listen to, with all those pauses. Sucks
I'm surprised no one has mentioned how casually james caught that shoe
That's what I was thinking!
He seemed annoyed but not angry
@@minaashido5678 yea James was an angry guy back then, but he handled the situation well. I haven't watched this video in a while. Had to watch him catch that shoe a few times again. Still blows my mind how fast his reflexes are for him to be able to do that. Im not sure he was even looking.
@@rextrowbridge8386 he probably wasn't
I think he caught it when moving his finger to a note, like he probably caught it between his finger and the string
The lady at the Disturbed show was texting her teen daughter who was at home dealing with a tornado warning. David found out after the show and made an apology to the lady and her daughter. He said that he was actually very upset that he called her out after finding out what was going on.
but I feel like even if that wasn't the case they're still getting paid regardless so why should he be mad
@@danielfoerster3416 because it's not all about money?
@@borumir True it's not about the money it's really about bruising the bloated ego of a narcissistic douchebag. He makes himself feel taller by trying to make others feel small.
@@teejay8111 Not really. David is a teddy bear deep down. Its disrespectful to put all your time and energy out only to have someone pay zero attention the entire time, as if you are not doing your job well enough.
In cases like this, the mother should have at the least stepped outside. Sitting there was a disrespect to him, and she could have handled her daughter verbally on the phone. David was right, but props to him for being man enough to apologize to her upon learning of the circumstances.
So her daughter is literally in the middle of a tornado. And she's there in a rock concert. America is one crazy country.
To be fair James Hetfield was surprisingly chill about the shoe
Yeah, most people would have lost it.
@@chandlerrose4545 I know I would've :/
Fuck this I certainly wouldn’t have been amused.

Yeah he was
I love how metal bands are hardcore yet care about their fans more than most bands of other types of music
That's the only source of their income. The majority of their income comes from merchandise sales and venues
Its a brotherhood unlike any other genre. I saw Slipknot when I was 14 in 06 and I tripped and fell down and literally 5 or 6 hands grabbed me and pulled me up without me even having to use a muscle.
@@Se7enDsinSGaming But caring about a single fan is something else compared to millions of fans, ain't it?

Imagine singing in a concert then the lead just goes "yea this man stole my house" Perfect.
I really want to know the context of the clip
Jace of Spades So do I. Was he being unstable or was there actually something behind that?
He lost his house to foreclosure and later returned to the home in Hollywood and was arrested for trespassing.
However the likelihood of the audience member being one of those people involved in his foreclosure or the later arrest for trespassing is unlikely because this show was in Marietta, Ohio.
Just a typical person blaming someone else for their problems. His house was foreclosed upon, and he’s whining about that saying someone “stole it“
He seemed drunk
Metallica handled that shoe situation just the way a band should.. give em a warning don’t ruin everyone else’s night because of one person, nor call out the person to incite violence
Metallica was making fun of Layne Staley’s heroin addiction, so I think they deserve to get all the shit thrown at them
@@norisa4850 What do you mean exactly? Cliff died in a bus crash, something he had no control over and something no one expected.
@@Maria-cp4sq ok yeah you make sense im stupid I kinda lashed out because I didn't take a second to think my apologies

James Hetfield handled the crowd amazingly chill, that is why he and the whole band are legends!!!
MEGADETH IS BETTER THAN MET*LLICA
Daughter: "help Mom! There's a tornado warning!"
Mom: *"GET DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS!!"*
Oh ah ah ah ah!!!
That Dave Grohl "ah ah ah ah ah" is such a Dad phrase. Love it
I would've been so embarrassed
I love Dave! The happiest guy in rock! It musta been weird being in a band with Kurt when Kurt was so depressing and Dave is the opposite and such a happy go lucky guy
Jimmy Irwin 😂 yeah it is
I love the "ah ah ah ah ah" but I think the "nanananana no" is the best part
Anthony Strunk Kurt wasn’t suicidal and was very happy and spiritual. If you weren’t aware, he was killed by Allen wrench with a shotgun
James Hetfield didn't "go off". But he WAS super classy and that's why I love him.
There is nothing "classy" about a person who goes looking for wild bears and bear cubs to shoot.......
Bujf vjg Dafuq does that have to do with this video? I’m referring to the way he responded in the video.
Bujf vjg stfu
Yeah real “classy” making fun of Layne Staley while he was going through personal hell. That’s why people started throwing shoes at him in the first place.
I've seen people throw clothing at musicians. I saw a guy throw a neck tie at Rob Zombie. But throwing things like shoes is over the line.
The Disturbed one is funny as hell to me.
They literally have a packed venue paying attention to them and the frontman has to point out ONE individual on their cell phone.
Here's a solution for anyone else in this position. Play your set, get off the stage, and enjoy the fact that you even had a packed venue to see you play in the first place.
For real it’s not a college lecture idk why he cares
@@c00b I mean it is kinda sad when your watching a movie, a performance, etc. but yet your busy playing on your phone.
right? her ticket was most likely purchased with money. get over yourself dave..
He mentioned the entire top row, and happened to point out the one person. Pay attention next time
@@EnigmaEnginseer It doesnt matter if its 100 people, if he wants people to pay attention he should play a better show. Seriously massively insecure "please clap" energy
James did the opposite of "go off." That's kinda ironic when you account for how much alcohol those dudes had in their systems.
I thought James Hetfield showed a remarkable amount of restraint and professionalism after having a shoe thrown at him. James is a good man.
Ninja Dog Do you know WHY he got thrown shit at? Because he made fun of someone's heroin addiction.
Filip Dzero Wassswaaawaa oh cuz Layne was a piece of shit unprofessional fuck.
Jeremy Boehm I'm just stating why smo threw shit at James, nothing more...
Filip Dzero Sorry Man I just over reacted.
Jeremy Boehm No offence taken, bro.

Draimen later apologized online after he found out the lady was talking to her kids, he now says at his conerts as i have been to one ( was at the show in Philadelphia) that they fully support fans taking videos and pictures and understand we all have familys. Draimen is cool and logical.
Who cares he shouldn't have been so focused on one person in a packed house and the fact that he got that mad is stupid lol.
@@Jcavis1 When you’re traveling across the country spending hours on a hot and sweaty stage tearing your vocals apart you’d be a bit annoyed too

I thought somebody stole my house once, but I later realized I had just misplaced it.
If I had a dime for every time I heard that one (;
dude I woke up one day and thought someone stole my house and realized I was in it
I woke up one day and my house was gone. Turns out I had just given it to my mum (or mom for you Americans) to borrow.
His house was actually foreclosured. It was a nice house too for American standards. Poor Wes has alcohol and drug issues he needs to fix, he also needs to stop getting arrested.

Dave Grohl 2021. "You don't come to my show unvaccinated..."
Axl's little hissy fits is why I have spent a dime since Use Your Illusion 1&2.
James reaction was the funniest in my opinion. As soon as that second shoe was thrown he got pissed 😂💀
Imagine going to a show and being accused by the lead singer of stealing your house
Massive RESPECT for the bands who actually cared enough about their fans and their wellbeing.
And most of them stopped the show until it was all right.
Wow.. Metallica handled that really well. To quote Austin Power, "Who throws a shoe?.... honestly.".
Underrated comment.
That was the first thing I thought!

I saw Killswitch Engage at central Park a few years ago and a fan got hurt in the mosh pit. Jesse immediately screamed stop the music and started asking if the fan was alright and called for EMTs to come in and treat him. Fortunately the fan was able to walk off under his own power but Jesse was talking to him making sure he was alright before proceeding with the set
I love the disturbed clip. A reincaration of a teacher arguing with their pupils
actually the girl worries about family or relatives, but she’s a big fan of disturbed. theres a lot of video on youtube from the girl got interviewed and explain everything, and there’s a video from Draiman apologizes to her.
I love how he’s like “so what is so important” lol I was there
It was lame making fun of that chick to make himself feel good in-front of an entire crowd. He doesn’t know her and she was with some dude, what if the guys a fan and shes just there to be there or some family shits happening lol a ticket was paid to go to your show it can be enjoyed however they choose to enjoy it dude threw a hissy fit.
Alex Bent dude he literally apologized for it bc he honestly didn’t know and if you were on stage and saw someone in the front row on there phone the whole time i bet you would be bothered by it
He was very calm about it and didn't cuss at the person, that's incredible
The subtle audio around 5:26 KILLED me:

I doubt you could afford the house in question. It was foreclosed.
I’ve seen that video like 50 times and it still makes me laugh when James catches that shoe. Like it looks like it just landed in his hand
It will be funnier if James scrub that shoe and Rob Halford came out with his high „You're breaking the laaaaw!” scream :D
Imagine going to a show and the lead singer accuses you of stealing their house. I don’t even know how you react to that lol. I love how the rest of the band was like “I have no idea what’s going on.”
The band knew exactly what was going on.. Wes has drug and alcohol problems. His house was foreclosed and he's always getting arrested.
I actually was the guy who stole Wes's house. I stuffed it in the back of my pickup and drove away with it. Spent all day while he was at work doing it, so he'd get home and be like... "There was a house here when I left, I'm sure of it."

That is an amazing visual
No they hooked a El Camino to it and towed it away😉
Nah I witnessed it happen he just lifted it up and walked off with it.
It was probably somebody who worked at the bank where he forgot to pay his mortgage
He might have been talking about a tour agent or venue owner who took the money he was promised for the show...known in the industry as "the house". (Percentage of tickets sold for a show.)
Gotta hand it to James Hetfield...he was SO diplomatic in his scolding of the shoe-chucker. He didn't even resort to using profanity. Kudos to a true gentleman.

Since when did you need to brave to call out a security guard
It's a set up. ALL bands do it, paid stooges, so that bands can virtue signal. Dave Grohl is the king of that. I mean, imagine being on stage, and differentiating between a mosh pit and a fight.

I saw the Toadies (among other bands) in Biloxi, MS the summer of 2001.....a woman was forcibly picked up by the crowd and the crowd tore off her top. The lead singer stopped singing and called it out. He refused to start up again until she was okay, and promised to stop completely if it happened again. Ya I heard about that but the one with staind turned out to be a complete misunderstanding
I love it. I once was at a concert and wassn't feeling safe. Everyone was fighting and doing drugs. I newer went to a concert again. Would like to go to one of there concerts for sure.
What concert was that? I go like 6-8x a year to concerts and 99% just drink alcohol and before/after the concert a handful smoke weed. I never saw someone being aggressive or picking fights if anything it's the opposite.
Like if I see a girl struggling in front I go behind her to push the horde a bit away and I did meet a handful of jealous boyfriends that took my protective sense like "flirting" but except a short sign like back of nothing ever happened.
I was at a Fear Factory show once and the frontman (Burton) stopped the show because some dude was fighting. The fight happened in front of me and got pretty bloody too. He wouldn't start back up till the guy who started the fight got taken out by security.
When the Puddle of Mud singer's memory of the house thief must have been....blurry.
First Last he was behaving like a... schizophrenic psycho
Derek Fletcher No kidding. How the hell does he draw the conclusion that the man who stole his trailer home is in the crowd?
First Last I assume he drew that conclusion after drawing meth-smoke into his lungs
Derek Fletcher you are probably right.
I saw puddle of Mud play and he was so drunk mumbling to himself and long drawn out speeches... Doing weird stuff.. It was pretty entertaining stuff
We need an updated one if possible 🙌🔥
How did the house stealing thing not become a meme?
Because Wes Scantlin is a meme in itself at this point.
because memes are stupid
sm1353 Ummmmmmmm just no. No. No no no no no no. No!
what a kook
Eddie Vedde is such a gentleman. Notice how polite he is not only to the woman, but how he even addresses the man as "Mister."
The whole time, Eddie doesn't even say much - if anything at all. He seems to be trying to keep any additional drama off the table.
I think he handled it PERFECTLY and with absolute class.
