    "There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution." ~ John Adams
    “However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion."
    ~ George Washington

    I stopped this video at 2:22 to leave this comment.
    I suppose I am like Penn and Teller in that I will watch a performance to learn how it's done, then put my own spin on it.
    I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TF YOU DID THIS SLEIGHT BY WATCHING, AND I AM SUPER EXCITED THAT YOU ARE WILLING TO TEACH IT.

    Cool version of the "Oil and Water" routine :)
    I've always found O&W to be a bit of a boring routine and not really that visual so I never bothered coming up with my own. But yours is really cool : great rythm, great visuals... I'm not sure if I ever will perform or even create an Oil and Water routine but if I do... Mind if I use your routine as my basis ? It's really a good one :)

    • @zellebigbosswesh
      @zellebigbosswesh 4 роки тому

      @youschtube Maybe "not visual" was not the best term I could have used to describe how I feel about this plot... What I meant is that, usually, during most of the trick the cards are (obvisouly) face down. So, for the audience, the trick consist basically in watching someone shuffle around cards who look almost identical.
      That was I was triying to say with "not visual". It's quite visual at the begining of the trick, when you show the red cards and the black cards. It's quite visual at the end of the trick, when they are shown separated. But all of the middle part of the trick is... not that visually interresting in my opinion. That's why I never was the biggest fan of Oil&Water.
      The trick in the video was a bit more appealing to me because I felt the different color of backs were a bit more interesting in my opinion. If suffered from the same "problem" I just talked about, but it was interresting enough to make me want to experiment with the plot again and find a way to make it my own and make the middle bit more... appealing to my own sense of magic I guess.
      Which I succeed by creating an Oil&Water plot combining faces and backs. Thanks to this video which sparked my imagination.
      My comment wasn't ever meant to be controversial. Sorry if it had upset you, I was just talking about how I felt about this particular plot ^^
