If someone were to do this with a working trigger, could it be done so that the hammer moves alongside it? Like, pulling the trigger makes the hammer move, a sort of blowback mechanism.
How about you make the modern version of the 1911 like the SW version. The version that has an extended and pointed beaver tail, skeletonized hammer, and slant iron sights.
if you drilled the slide lock hole through the thing one the bottom of the barrel so when u put the pin in it would hold the barrel in place without glue just like the real thing. nice gun tho
love your vids, but i desire to make some of these to kill time... im used to working with measurements... think you're ever going to post a vid to make a gun with measurements?
I don't measure anything when I build, everything is either based off my scale picture or just eyeballing it. Measuring every piece would make the already fairly arduous process of taking pictures and videos for every step prohibitively time consuming. Sorry :(

Hey friend,kinda late.I've started a similar project,a beretta m9.So far,ive made the lower receiver and working firing pin-hammer mechanism.The magazine is pretty straight forward.Paper is really hard to work with,but there are some keys to manage it correctly.Ive made rounds by simply getting used 9mm rounds and putting a homemade primer on the back of it.Ive tested it,and it works.Time for the slide...

For the safety, you could have widened the paper tube for the hammer to fit a toothpick through, and use that as the pivot for the safety
