  • Earlier in the year i got a demo JFX 2 from NZ Aerosports to help determine the size i wanted for my custom canopy order. It was great to jump crossbraced for the first time and i loved the JFX 2. Such an awesome canopy.
    I did a few weeks jumping this canopy and managed to even get a mountain swoop in Slovenia which was amazing!
    Looking forward to receiving my JFX2 89. Currently i am jumping an old Velo 96 as a inbetween canopy as i didn't want to go back to the crossfire after jumping this JFX2. Still have the crossfire 109 in my second rig for a more easy going canopy if i need it.
    After jumping the Velo for 100 jumps, the JFX 2 openings are in a league of their own in comparison! I still can't out swoop the JFX 2 on the Velo. I have been trying!
    I will post some Velo swoops soon.

      Hey! I can't remember it was so long ago.

      @@james.vertex no worries, thnx anyway! Just started 90 truns with my JFX2 99, so just wanted to compare. Did you use do it both on front risers combining with a bit of harness or just with fronts?

    How was the transition between the crossfire 109 to the JFX2 96? Much faster?

      Yeh it was a smooth transition. I had done alot of jumps on the crossfire before going to JFX2. Feels faster, more rigid and better swoops

    The "Longest 270" turn looks very sketchy. Glad you're ok bro but it looks like you had to dig hard on the rears to pull yourself out (could just be the lens angle though). I've hit the deck like that before. A lesson I will never forget.
    Personally I prefer harness turns too, much more efficient and you have hands on rears and brakes at all times. I find harness turns easier to control too. Fronts are a no-go for me nowadays. Both from a safety side, but also just pure aerodynamic efficiency.

      Not at all. Never dig out on the rears

    How many jumps did you have on your Crossfire before you switched to the JFX?

    • @james.vertex
      @james.vertex  10 місяців тому

      I did nearly 1000 on a crossfire3

      @@james.vertex Wow. I've got about 50 jumps on my CF2 119. Looks like I've got a while to go.

      @jaco5187 you don't want to learn to swoop on a crossfire2. Either try to get a crossfire 3 or sabre 2/3. Other canopies are good too but these are the easiest to find. Then get lots of coaching! Have fun

      @@james.vertex I've always heard any Crossfire is bad to learn how to swoop on because it teaches you bad habits that you'll later have to un-learn. From what I hear, the Katana is the best non-crossbraced canopy to prepare you for going crossbraced.
