@@RWHobbies I think that's the real advantage to doing actual build reviews. Even though (especially on the raptor) it's important to see how the moulding is and all the detail and whatnot, you really can't get an idea of how a kit goes together just looking at the sprues. I understand why other channels focus on doing in box previews since building a kit is a much bigger commitment than just filming an unboxing but I just find so much more value in these kinds of videos, thanks for your hard work.
@@RWHobbies tbh, if I can actually not be lazy and get cracking on some kits you've inspired me to get working on my own reviews. I'm still a beginner modeler bit I reckon that perspective could be valuable to people, I'm especially looking forward to the new su-30sm's coming from gwh and minibase, might be a good launching point to compare them.
The F-22 does have some pretty amazing wear and tear patchwork on it's finish. Good to see so many photos on the internet that highlight this. Yeah, it's a bit sneaky for them to consider each decal as an individual part. The tinted canopy will be the challenge, I guess. It's giving me some ideas that I think I'll test out on some old canopies in the spares box. Eagerly following along with your build, Richie!
That is the only thing I am struggling with right now Ken. I am thinking a thin mix of super metallic gold and clear orange lightly misted on the inside.
Thanks for doing thus kit. I have just started the Hasegawa kit. Just finished sanding down all the huge panel lines. Looking forward to your paint job.
I got the Academy for $40. $100+ HB Raptor hell no. Hawkeye Hobbies did the metallic sheen for these years ago. Good call building this one, probably 1st on UA-cam so should get good number of views.
Nice one Richie, looking forward to this one👍
Really glad you chose to build this one.
Whoo let's go! Very anticipated build series, you've definitely thrown a curve ball after what you said in the review.
🤷♂️ spoiler alert... going together very well. I may need to eat a slice of humble pie.

Happy Your building the kit Richie, I have the !/48 Academy F-22A Kit.
It is almost built already. Thus far very nice fit on this kit.
Looking forward to seeing your progress on the jet.
About ready to button it up. Without jinxing myself, the fit thus far is exceptional.
Glad to see you’re still making content! Keep it up!
Thanks buddy
Great vid!! AGAIN!! TY
You're welcome. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Richie

I like your t-shirt. It looks like the lord of the rings: sillimarion.
Lol thanks. Old Navy. Kids bought it for me for Christmas.
Hey Richie, I'm so grateful you decided to build it.
however I believe hobby boss is way overrated and too expensive for the crap they make
Haha... you can watch vicariously and not worry about the $$$
The whole kit is eight steps.?…That’s about a tenner a step.!
134 parts. Chinese math doesn’t add up. Not 380.
$100+ and they’re giving you a decal sheet for the IP? Hello 1980’s
No seat belt harnesses either. Not even a decal.
