I know this is just a tv show and a good one to watch. I like this episode because it shows how this can happen in real life to a civilian. A teenager, college kid or adult is walking home from the grocery store and gets stopped by cops for no reason at all except by matching a description of someone they are looking for. The civilian does their best to corporate but everything the cops are doing causes you to panic and to go into fight or flight mode just like this poor kid tries to do. Thank goodness for Chief Ross pointing out the person recording the incident. To all of the good cops, thank you for all you do. As for the cops that make it hard to trust anything you do like the cops of this episode, you have no right to be a cop and you need to get gone. Another job that has no involvement with any kind of weapon beyond a box cutter. Thanks for uploading.
This whole clip goes to show that police officers need a LOT of training when it comes to suspects dealing with a medical emergency, especially mental instability.
I know this is a show, but situations like this really happen, and just like the superior gave the command to " stand down " there are really HORRIBLE cops that has to be given a command multiple times before they actually obey the command, which screams those cops shouldn't have the power to drastically negatively affect someone's life, if they have a hard time obeying their superiors there's NO way they'll even listen to a taxes paying citizen .
This shows the reality of things in real life ambulance calling it one thing cops calling it another being scared or terrified is far from being unstabled
Finally; a realistic situation about cops on TV. Just as in real life; cops only do what they think that they can get away with. Behavior reflects leadership.

You know as much as this scene shows the state of police brutality a lot of people forget the double standard of it yes no one should have the right to hold someone at gun point for any suspicion but most cops come from army lifestyles or have been a corrections officer and have had to learn to not trust anybody to shoot first ask questions later to straight survive and have severe ptsd from that or there whole career spent showing up to murders and beatings and rapes and just seeing so many bad people that the goods one sometimes get mixed up. And as much as it is easy to say then maybe we shouldn’t have them as our police, it just so happens to be that that’s the kinda people who end up wanting to be cops or have the courage to stick it out for the decades that they do
Until cops get rid of the blue wall of silence and stop protecting crooked cops, then as a whole folks will not trust them. Rotten apples will spoil the entire bunch.
Full disclosure. If all those officers fired their tasers just moments before the others got between the kid and them. He wouldve died right there. One taser is enough to bring a full grown man down. And im counting five of them. Thats 250 thousand volts they wouldve collectively zapped this kid with. They were prepared to kill this kid. And it disgusts me.
