Thanks Rick for the shout out, I do love the Scoops set, they tell you more about the history of the game with some great players as well.
Enjoy and hopefully you will be able to complete the set.

I love that set. They make for a great addition to a display based on the card's event. They're nice looking and informative. Have a great weekend, Rick!

This is a really cool set. I just picked up my first 2 about a month ago at a card show. Great stuff. Enjoyed. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the video Rick. The scoops cards are really neat; however, they are really underappreciated in the hobby. You have some nice looking cards. I only have two, but I will probably pick up some more over time. Good luck completing the set.

Fun set Rick! In 1961 Roger Maris didn't hit a home run until the 11th game of the 1961 season, so he did hit his 61 home runs in a 152 game span. Not a big fan of Ford Frick and his *.

I don’t think most people are! I imagine it’s why the asterisk was removed from the official records!

Hey Rick. I've watched a couple of your videos, and I just want to say that I really like the way you collect. Your '39 Play Ball set is really something. I'm very slowly working on that one, but I have quite a ways to go. It's my favorite of the three. I really enjoyed the story about the doubleheader, lol. It was great when they had doubleheaders. Those were the days. The Red Sox were ahead of their time in the greed department. But in all fairness, maybe the fact they had a small stadium had something to do with it. I remember reading in the paper Thurman Munson talking about the day/night doubleheaders, and saying that he would have a steak after the first game, and he'd be ready for bed! Real quick, I think you meant Ford Frick, not Bowie Kuhn. I know you know this, but I thought I'd just point it out in case anybody listening here is cutting their teeth on refractors, and looks upon the 1990s as olden tymes. As I remember from another video I saw, you followed the home run chase of 1961. That's so amazing. According to Jane Leavy though, Mickey had more than a cold at the end of the season. And the guy who gave him the shot was a bit of a quack and was recommended to him by Mel Allen. Anyway, love the Baseball Scoops cards. All the best.

@Rocketrickj18 Ha ha yes, I occasionally do go back and revise! Lol. I think I'll eventually go after some more of the Scoops cards. I have some of them. They remind me somewhat of the great 1969 Topps World Series set of the Tigers and the Cardinals. (Only two revisions this time! 😉)
