Joyo JW-03 wireless system for HARMONICA?

- A demo of the Joyo wireless system for harmonica. Inexpensive (~$40 USD), and quite effective up to a point. Add a few walls and a couple of appliances between you and your amp and, yeah, signal loss can be an issue. But who does that besides me?
btw - like these reviews? Wanna buy me a coffee? Feel free to throw a buck or two into the hat!

Man, thanks for this review, answers a lot of questions. the house wiring most likely was causing interference, or ghosts! ;)
Or the radiant heat. We've got pipes running all over everywhere - zero cell coverage in the house, for example. But, probably ghosts.
Thanks, man! I've been wondering about a wireless. This was helpful.
They're super light - hardly even notice it's attached to the microphone. And these don't break the bank, so it's a pretty safe test - I don't think I'd have tried them if they were $100++ like some of the high end systems are.
Thanks for the review. I’ve been thinking about getting these as I am fairly new to using a mic and find cables really awkward. The system seems easy to set up and good value for money. Great playing, as always. Cheers 👍
Super easy to set up, and honestly, for $40, if it doesn't work, so it goes. I'm curious to see how it plays out on stage where both of the guitar players are wireless already - RE interference and such. I'll find out soon enough!
Again, thanks Tim for doing this for those of us unencumbered by massive endorsement deals and other free stuff like cars and motorised bicycles. I use and enjoy the Joyo 'American Sound' pedal, so it's great to see you using one of those. These same wireless systems are available in Australia for $89, though I note there's another Joyo wireless product, called the MW, which has XLR connectors that goes for AU$169. I've never gone wireless but as I would use this JW-3 for bass guitar also, I'm keen to look at reviews before buying as it would be used for more than one thing. This is why I, like so many others, 'trust Tim' when it comes to responsible and less 'take out a new home loan now' gear choice options. If there's anyone more talented and entertaining doing these types of reviews, I haven't seen them - perhaps Josh from JHS Pedals - however they both transmit good vibes and want people to try different things, which for me is what it's all about.
Well, at about 63 cents on the USD, that only makes them a wee bit more expensive for you than for me - still a good deal. Kinda funny given that you're a bit closer to Schenzhen than we are. REGARDLESS - thank you so much for your kind words. I'd make some T-Shirts with Trust Tim on them, but I suspect my kids would just laugh. Cheers!
Parabéns pelo video campeão! Vc é um excelente músico!! Toca muito!!!
Hey Tim yeah Joyo makes good stuff. I did a review on the American sound pedal. I want to try their British and Actone pedal . Looks like 20-30 ft on that remote you should be good.
Yeah, I think line-of-sight would be a good idea, too. I had walls, wiring, appliances, all sorts of stuff between me and the amp when it was breaking up.
The only drawback, is sometimes I forget where I sat the bullet mic down 😂
lol - I had not considered that at all. I'll make a note to set it down with my car keys and cell phone so I'll be CERTAIN to find it again. Eventually. With help.
I need to get something like that for my guitar
Yeah, it's a thing - all these guitar players I'm up there with, they have 'em, and they shake their heads at me every time I trip over my cable and hurt myself. And this one's cheap. The expensive ones have stuff like cable emulation impedance thingies to make your guitar sound more like it's got a cable hooked to it, but hell, if it comes down to that level of detail, I'll pass and save my money for the tequila.
Thank you so much! What microphone are you using?
That's a "Lil' Honker II" from Bone Daddy Microphones - one of the best, most robust little harp mics on the market. You can find them on Bone Daddy's Facebook page. Cheers!
Through walls is not a good test outside and straight up the driveway and Street in plane line of sight would be better
Yeah, I know, but the point was that it works fine, even around a few corners. For your typical live gig situation, you're rarely more than about 20 or 30 feet from your amp (I'm never more than a few feet away, really), and over those distances, this rig is solid.
If the cable cuts off all the blood to your brain, do you wake up as a drummer?
lol. I'm gonna plead the fifth on that given that our drummer is a muscular fellow that shoots things for fun (which might, indirectly, answer your question).
