I was fortunate enough to have seen both tours in Glasgow and can say that they were sensational. Only those four men could make that unique wall of sound.
Who cares about the internal affairs after decades together - The legacy is forever. One of the Greatest Rock’n’Roll Bands of All Time 🫡

I had the privilege of speaking and shaking hands with Alan in the hotel bar after the gig. He was so chuffed with the whole thing...

I think many of us saw Quo as Rossi and Parfitt and while they were indeed good, over time you realise it was Lancaster who added the rawness and special energy of the band. With him they were excellent, without him they were OK.

I can't read the comments clearly because I'm crying.
Alan was a beautiful, lovely human being.
I met him a few times at gigs of his in Sydney in the late 80's and early 90's.
Dare I say that we shared a joint and laughed about how awful the "Perfect Remedy" album was with the terrible Country songs.
He was a great guy, very natural and down to Earth.
In the early 70's I picked Alan as my favourite QUO member.
RIP Alan, we love you mate.

Alan was like a stick of rock from the seaside. Status Quo ran through his body from his head to his toes. Quo meant more to him than any other member of the band.

Aging really mellowed him into a nice guy.. Originally he was the hard man of the group, always ready for a fight,he even had a go at poor Rick on a plane journey

I was at a gig at Newcastle City Hall in the 70's, towards the end of the night everyone was knackered, I was standing on my seat, Alan looked at me and we sang a few lines looking at each other, what a great memory.
A Quo gig was like standing in front of a 747 engine, loud as hell (before the Vox amps era).

I read an article by a music critic who called Rossi "The Anti-Quo"
In the latter years Rossi has been quoted criticising a lot of the good things about QUO.
FFSake, Rossi doesn't like the double LIVE album, which is probably the best LIVE album ever recorded.
There aren't any overdubs or re-mixing on the LIVE album, it is raw, warts n all.
It's the unpretentious QUO that we love.
Rossi doesn't like the Covers albums "RIFFS" or "FITLCentury" both of which I feel are brilliant, full of their love for the songs and artists that they are Covering.
Sometimes I wonder if Rossi likes himself.
The way he 'conducts' himself in interviews makes me think he is covering up the
    'real' Rossi.
For many years the Cabaret Quo have just been 'going through the paces' in 2nd gear.
They are insulting the true legacy of The Frantic Four and 60's QUO.

I was there , they were tighter, but despite the general consensus of Alan playing well, Rick was covering big for him.
I'm glad Alan and Spud got a hefty pension top up etc, but that really needed to be❤️👏👏 the end.
