Illmatic should win easily, but 94 really was a stacked year, arguably the best ever for Hip Hop. I really want Beezy to represent this year in an Odd Friday battle next season. EDIT: (After seeing the results) DAMN.
Illmatic is the album I listen to most. Underrated is that Word… Life album. When I first heard it I was extremely shocked by how well it was. And ready to die is ready to die.
Yeah, to me Resurrection is his best album. I woulda picked it. The production on Blowout Comb is great, but I can’t rap none of their verses. Resurrection put Common on the map (though I had the first one too).
Nothing beats Digable planets blowout comb for me. That shit is pure unadulterated black power in album form. Can’t go wrong w so many albums from this year though!
‘88 - ‘93 are the greatest years in Hip Hop, even though my all time no1 Hip Hop album came out in ‘87, which was Ultramagnetic MC’s ‘Critical Beatdown’ album, which still sounds as fresh as it did in 1987 imo. But I couldn’t pick out just one favourite year in Hip Hop. De La’s 1st 3 albums were released between ‘89 & ‘93 & De La’ being my favourite & the most consistent Hip Hop groups of all time, when it came to consistent triple A+ quality albums imo & their 1st 3 albums were released between ‘89 - ‘93. Amongst hundreds of other triple A+ Hip Hop albums. 88 & 89 vs 93 & 94 is a coin toss.
Not mad at it. It’s not like it’s not debatable. Both are 2 of the greatest hip hop albums ever but I always gravitated to Illmatic more. Ready to die ain’t even my favorite Biggie album if I’m being real
Thought I've had watching the this. I think if an album / artist / whatever wins one of these, they should be eliminated for further brackets.. I think it's more interesting they get their one shot, and cannot reappear for a long while. If you want to be very extra, do an extra bracket some time with ONLY winners and see how it goes :D
For Rod to mostly be anti radio/commercial hits when it comes to song brackets, to then say he picked Ready to Die because of its cross over appeal is honestly mind blowing…
I'm so glad Beezy got the tiebreaker for Ready To Die and picked it last, damn what a tough final matchup. RTD is my second favourite hiphop/rap album of all time. Respect to Illmatic though 🫡

Beardless Beezy with the Brackets 🔥🔥🔥
Looking like a young Kobe
Say that 3 times
Holy, I'm sorry😊
Beardless B Back wit Brackets
Myke stays the sole advocate of Beastie Boys in this group, not unnoticed
The beastie boys 2 albums are all time classics. After that...ehh theres great songs but whole albums had a slippage
If DEHH breaks up, we at least know it’s Kyori’s fault
Damn.
B letting nas down is crazy
If they do 88 and 96 those might be the hardest brackets.
Facts about 96.
Both will be damn near impossible
That's extremely tough
Maaayne I've been feenin for another DEHH bracket
Thanks again for having me on! This was dope…as usual!!
I’m biased for Illmatic and I admit it. LMAOOOOOO!
NEVER MISSING A BRACKET!!! LOVE THESE!!!
We need a Diss Track bracket badly
12Kyle appearance 🔥🔥
27:31 Loved when Myke said "the intro gets played too".
cause its true lol
As much as I love "Ready..." it's Illmatic for me.
Illmatic should win easily, but 94 really was a stacked year, arguably the best ever for Hip Hop. I really want Beezy to represent this year in an Odd Friday battle next season.
EDIT: (After seeing the results) DAMN.
Awwww...Mike gave up his seat. What a nice gesture for Kyle.
Illmatic is the album I listen to most. Underrated is that Word… Life album. When I first heard it I was extremely shocked by how well it was. And ready to die is ready to die.
96 gotta be next...
Yup best year of hip hop
@@oliverwashington961994 bro... And 1998 is underrated
The extinction agenda is a classic CD. It is arguably as good as ready to die and illmatic.
Good to see Kyle on this channel and in person too
Yea he is jokes, definitely need him on more content.
The Common disrespect be crazy on here
Yeah, to me Resurrection is his best album. I woulda picked it. The production on Blowout Comb is great, but I can’t rap none of their verses. Resurrection put Common on the map (though I had the first one too).
Ready to Die is Classic but illmatic is UNTOUCHABLE!!!!
Ready to die is the best hip hop album of all time 🔥 Good decision B 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Facts 💯 I still listen to it today
Beezy up there looking like Kobe😂
No skips on Illmatic or the diary on ready to die there are two easy skippable tracks Friend of mine and Respect
I cant believe this man just disrespected Suicidal Thoughts.
Can’t believe that shit 🤦🏽♂️
Tbf Puffy is really annoying on that song
This man said Suicidal Thoughts had no place on a album called Ready To Die smh
I didn't get the hate for "Respect" either, I love that record...
🇿🇦 Bone Thugs & Harmony gave us "Creepin on ah Come Up" 🔥🔥🔥
love these brackets
Stress: The Extinction Agenda got robbed.
Illmatic. It keeps static like wool fabric yall c'mon
Friend of mine is so skippable that ppl forget it's on ready to die. Illmatic
Much love DEHH!!
Hope to see more brackets like this
Nothing beats Digable planets blowout comb for me. That shit is pure unadulterated black power in album form. Can’t go wrong w so many albums from this year though!
Your opinion
dope as hell having 12kyle on

Yall need to do a diss tracks bracket
I hate only knowing the popular albums that dropped this year.. so imma have to go back and check out the others
Beezy be percolating off these brackets
The diary would’ve won my bracket. That was my introduction to real rap music and to this day I still blast that ish especially let em know..
Here’s hoping for 1995 and 1996 brackets
Love these! Kyle was salty lol
Only thing Beezy cares about 🔥
Would love to see a Tyler or tribe song bracket
Illmatic > Ready To Die imo 🤷🏾♂️
Ready to die is what I listen to more today though but both great albums
Not mad at it. It’s not like it’s not debatable. Both are 2 of the greatest hip hop albums ever but I always gravitated to Illmatic more. Ready to die ain’t even my favorite Biggie album if I’m being real
@@TheRealLeonardWashington yeah I love life after death a little more than ready to die too but I’m biased, Biggie is my favorite.
The Main Ingredient and Word…Life should be in the Top 4.
You guys should do a 96 bracket!
The year I was born! Myke the Kid C Town 94 til infinity !
SUICIDAL THOUGHTS IS MY FAVORITE SONG ON THE ALBUM!!
Hard ass bracket to do!
B made the right decision....Biggie Ready To Die is and will forever be emaculate
UGK Supertight was hard! Ya’ll are tripping!!
Frfr Neva let H.A.N. rideeee!
*Illmatic and Ready to Die had to be the last 2 standing.*
I personally wouldve picked Illmatic over Ready to Die, but there was definitely no wrong answer
Can we get a one hit wonder hiphop bracket
Thought I've had watching the this. I think if an album / artist / whatever wins one of these, they should be eliminated for further brackets.. I think it's more interesting they get their one shot, and cannot reappear for a long while.
If you want to be very extra, do an extra bracket some time with ONLY winners and see how it goes :D
Need to go through all the years
Some other good 94 albums people should listen to Boogiemonsters - Riders of the Storm, Justice System- Sounds of the Rooftop, & DJ Krush - Krush
Ready to Die over Illmatic?? FOH!!!!!!
BRACKETS 🗣️🗣️🗣️
AZ guested on Illmatic but yeah the Chronic had pretty much the whole of the west coast on it lol
For Rod to mostly be anti radio/commercial hits when it comes to song brackets, to then say he picked Ready to Die because of its cross over appeal is honestly mind blowing…
My birth Year. 1/24/94. Best year in Hip Hop imo
Was just listening to Hard to Earn on the way to work. GS best album
Agree. Probably best Premo production ever
Whoever did the bracket fucked up and left out Spice-1's Amerikkka's Nightmare,.
With Myke on this one, Apocalypse '91 is also my favorite PE album
I'm so glad Beezy got the tiebreaker for Ready To Die and picked it last, damn what a tough final matchup. RTD is my second favourite hiphop/rap album of all time. Respect to Illmatic though 🫡
O.C. and Jeru albums are highly underrated imo
Native Nuttz - The Native are restless and Nas - Illmatic are neck and neck.
Crazy to see you here, dope Metal and Rap videos bro!
Big Mike is from New Orleans.
yeah folks like to bunch him in with the H-Town boys
That 1st one had me cursing trying to pick..
Personally think Prince Po outshines Monche on Stress.
On the whole album?? Nah, he's dope tho
I just think overall he's better, but Monche is amazing on here too.@@bernabefernandeztouceda7315
Ready to Die has like 7 more songs compared to Illmatic. Illmatic is easily the best
I Spent A Lot Money On CDs Albums Above The Rim Soundtrack Nas Illmatic OutKast Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik The Notorious B.I.G Ready To Die Murder Was The Case Soundtrack Hard To Earn Project Funk Da World Tical Keith Murray Da Brat Funk defied Common Resurrection Bone Thugs N Harmony Scarface The Diary Mary J Bilge My Life Warren G Regulate G Funk Era Spice 1 Worst Nightmare MC Ehit We Come Strapped Above The Law Uncle Sam’s Curse Big Mike Something Serious The Roots Do You Want More Thug Life The Sun Rises East Fear Itself UGK Supertight Celly Cel Heat 4 Yo Ass Gravdiggers
As much as I love Thug Life album, I want to know where these guys are from. After watching the rest of it its easy to guess East
I like the song brackets more because the album ones are predictable who the winner will be way ahead of time but the song brackets aren’t
Well we all know the winner but let’s support the gang.
should do best posse cuts
Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik for me
Illmatic. Next question.
Illmatic done
should have had Smoked Out Loced Out by Three 6 Mafia and Ashes 2 Ashes, Dust 2 Dust by Tommy Wright III
That 36 mafia is a mixtape tho
Illmatic is the Greatest Hip Hop Album of All Time
Ready to die and Illmatic needs to be on the same side of the bracket
Apocalypse 91 was their last peak album.
Ready to die is it
Illmatic is easily #1 and I know its a complilation but the Murder was the case soundtrack deserves a shout
Do we even need to vote -Ken 😂
95 was the best yr
Babyface B!
BaldFace Beezy !
I respect the debate but idk maybe yall shoulda just did who won second place. That’s a more interesting convo but what do I know.
???
he greatest rap album of all time came out in 94. Arguing who places after that is a more interesting debate. That make sense? Or no????
Letting nas down is crazy
Cole did
Dare iz a Darkside out in the first round??😮😮
That album is self indulgent and boring as hell, even Redman hates it
cause it "Can't Wait" lol
@@TheRealJimbalZ 🤣 'Basically' lol
Illmatic Vs. Blunted On Reality🤣
Illmatic
Respect is a hard record imo. I prefer Illmatic to ready to die overall though even if One time for ya mind sticks out like a sore thumb
Ot4ym ain’t even bad it’s just all the other songs are perfection
@@K1ngOf1 the rapping is great but the beat just doesn’t do it for me personally
@@user-dv4bm2pk5ethe halftime beat is also weak to my ears
I prefer Ill Communication over hard to earn 😶
y'all skip represent on illmatic?!
Hell nah. Fire track. One time 4 ya mind is my least favourite instrumental on illmatic by a mile
@@user-dv4bm2pk5eThat was one of those 1992 tracks they just threw on there along with Halftime.

One day imma be featured in a DEHH video
I was 2 so that Barney theme song went hard
No MC Eiht We Come Strapped or Spice-1 AmeriKKKa’s Nightmare
