First Congregational UCC DC Sunday Worship 12/15/24

Join us on this third Sunday in Advent for a festival of Christmas music with the First Church Choir under the direction of Dennis Turner, our Designated Musician. The service will continue our Advent theme, "Words for the Beginning," as Kristen and Whit Wheeler light the candle of joy. Rev. Sam will lead a time with our children. Brendan McFerran and Sandy Sorensen will serve as our scripture readers with focus texts from Isaiah 58:9-12 (repairer of the breach) and Matthew 1:18-25 (Joseph's dream). The service will feature a variety of music styles, and we will also share in the prayers of the people. Join us as we prepare our hearts to receive the mystery of incarnation, Emmanuel, God-with-us.
