We keep ice cream, margarine, random jars after they’re used so I can send leftovers with someone, and have no worries about getting it back.

My sister takes her containers & fill them with food to go before she eats, at our family gatherings & she NEVER contributes ANYTHING. I also have a friend that brings her own containers for leftovers, but she waits. Both are rude as hel* to me.

I like watching videos of other people from around the world’s etiquette and customs. In my culture it’s very rude to ask people to RSVP and if someone shows up with extra guests you have to have a the more the merrier attitude. But it’s also super classy to tell someone if you can’t make it ahead of time ( with out them asking)
My Dad's solution to Tupperware is just using the gallon size Zip Locks - each bag gets its own food.

I wash out and save nice plastic heavy plastic disposable restaurant takeout, lunchmeat and bakery containers and keep them for when my kids visit for Thanksgiving/Christmas and there are leftovers to take home.

Being late is the rudest thing. My sister would ALWAYS be late then her son once he got married joined her in being late. Since they were late EVERYONE had to wait because Mom wanted to have everyone there before we could eat. I finally got so fed up I left and have NEVER gone back since. Being late year after year is purely inconsiderate.

My sister grown adults kids would always be late, so I started eating before I got there , and eventually, I stopped going at all.

Pray for me this Thanksgiving, these past three years have been difficult on me. Jesus give me guidance please. I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. I’m so tired of struggling every month to get by. As a single mom things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them I’m so ashamed. I suffered an heart attack two years ago and still battling lupus I’m so overwhelmed. Give me strength Lord as I constantly struggle to pay bills and constantly struggle to buy groceries for my children. BUT no matter what I KEEP FAITH. Even though the devil wants me to give up. Jesus please take the fear from me. Please save me and my children from this demonic world.

It was someone I had not seen in decades & they just happened to go to the same church. She brought her husband too. It was so awkward & I was livid, but my friend didn't think anything was wrong with it.

There was no excuse for her to be slurping loudly like that, especially while the other co-hosts were having a discussion. Glad Anna called her out on it (sort of). Whoopie can do whatever she wants when she's not working.

If you can't make it or be on time and it's RSVP then let the host know. Call them. As far as taking leftovers goes wait until the meal is done. I went to a big dinner that was huge. There was a lot of food and leftovers. Ask if you can take some home. Don't just grab.
