The point of the side lunge is to keep your food flat on the ground, get a good ankle stretch with it! I’m a middle schooler from Virginia running 454! Nice workout btw.
Hey dude! I’m also on track- I’m a freshman in high school, but my times are still slower than yours, keep up the hard work! Question: what do you eat before a meet to prepare for a race? My last few meets I’ve had substandard times, miles at 4:55 and 4:58, respectively. I think it might be because I’m not eating enough before the meets, my legs felt fresh after the race. What do you eat before a meet?
can you give me some tips on how to drop my 1600m time because i am in 8th grade and my time is 5:44 and i know its a big goal but i am looking to drop it to 5 flat by freshman year
I'm in eighth as well looking to hit about 4:40 this year. What would recommend is doing a lot of cycling at easy paces. In my opinion if you work up to it you can realistically do two hours on the bike every day (wouldn't recommend this much though). Biking is a lot easier to stay injury free in than running. I would recommend reading a few books on running. I like 8 second hill sprints with literally 3-5 minutes recovery. You problebly want to get shorter repitions at mile pace (100m-300m) with a lot of rest year around. However I wouldn't recommend 10x400m workouts year round as it simply isn't sustainable. I think you should switch from easy cycling to running gradually leading up until track season. I think 5 minutes is realistic if you go all in. Best of luck with your running.
i love the shorts!! i’ve been obsessed with chicken legs shorts forever. you have to get the ducks ones though, they’re iconic.

Notice how this video is 4:42 minutes long. Isn’t this your current mile pr?
Thanks! Training for cross country for next year!

Eat something light but high in carbs. For example honey on toast with a banana
