That did make me chuckle, I’m from midlands, very strong accent but lived on the Lancashire Moors and worked in Preston for 8 years. Even now, being back in midlands for 12 years, i still have a very mixed Lancashire Midlands accent. It’s a very strange mix. However, Black Country and Brummie although very close, are totally different accents. Totally different.
